  • I take you guys with me to go fishing a new saltwater dock, beach, and pier for whatever bites! This is my first time EVER fishing in Charleston South Carolina! We explore and toss out our cast net to try to find some bait! We ended up cast netting some shrimp, rigged it up, and threw it around to to see if any fish were hungry in the area! There can be so many different fish that we could possibly catch in the saltwater and at a place like Charleston! Will we catch our first fish in the Charleston SC saltwater? I didn't expect this to happen..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 484,000 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

I live in Charleston-the fishing here is awesome, and I’m glad you’re trying it out. For kayak fishing, there are tons of great creeks to try. Shem creek has easy access and is in the city. The Folly river can also be great and if it is a calm day, the Wando (where you are in the video) has some great trout spots. That rig will work well for docks, but for fishing creeks and against the grass, I recommend a float rig. Also stop buy Hadrells for some more advice.

Next august or September you have to come back down to Jax. The shrimping picks up which is unbelievable, there aren’t many comparable places, but we get our giant redfish as well. They get bigger here in the St. John’s then they do in the OBX, however we don’t record them like they do up there so it is anectdotal, but you have to come down

I lived in Charleston SC for 10 years and have some recommendations for spots if you ever go there again. One is breach inlet on Sullivans island. It is an awesome place to fish with rock pilings for sheepshead and redfish. You can also cast out a little farther and catch blacktip shark and Spanish mackerel. If you want to go kayak fishing, I would recommend going to the jetty’s that are off sullivans island that go out into the harbor. There are some sheepshead and absolutely massive bull reds.
