JP, you're like living, breathing gold man. Talent without discipline is like a car without fuel and your ride is cruising down the highway goin' 200 MPH.
Dude, let me be straight and clear. You did in little more than a minute what a lot of famous drummers can't do in way longer solos! I really liked it! Keep on rockin' in the free world!
when I saw you I thought " this is just one more loud punk drummer..." And after I saw this video I realized that I just saw one new world class drummer! Subscribed!!!!
Julian! I don't have a Medium Thin Jazz Ride and I don't play small club bop gigs... BUT I'LL BET IT'S KILLING. For real though that would be a good choice. They have a bunch of beautiful jazz rides. Have you checked out the Meinl website?
I guess this video kinda shuts up those that believe that traditional grip is the ONLY way to roll... (it's a non-issue with me, but I'm aware of those that are so inclined) Great playing JP!
thx so much hahahaa i still cant believe ive had a conversation with my favorite drummer. and if u ever consider bandhappy if u have time PLEASE do it. as always, love the playing and the mohawk!
very thankful. Thanks for watching and spreading positivity.
One of my most favorite drum solos

dat groove
I second thank you that.
Thank you for watching... 5 times!
@Dylan Stone Isn't it just a really fast six stroke roll? RLRLRL etc
I think it's a paradiddle-diddle, with some accent on the first two notes, RLrrll.
My guess is that he's going a six stroke roll but with singles, instead of doubles.
It's just RLRLRL but accenting the first 2 so RLrlrl.
This is unreal.
It is pretty much real tho
hella sweet ^_^
yes indeed
this is brilliant. can anyone help me find a transcription, or a version with a metronome or a drumless version please
It certainly is on iTunes. But Bandcamp takes a smaller cut than iTunes does ;) Both work just fine.
Hell yeah!!
Killer!
Tight.
I don't have the full video posted anywhere. Sorry :/ but I might post some of the other songs from the album.
I second that!
