I live minutes away from the former Lenox china factory that closed about 10 years ago in NJ. People this way all were all about the Lenox. People who worked at the factory were able to purchase very expensive place settings for great discounts and if you knew any workers you probably would be blessed with a beautiful ornament or some other collectible ceramic. We also were able to take advantage of sales at warehouse. So many of us have this top of the line china sets but sadly the young people in our lives are not too keen on inheriting these beautiful china sets. So sad.
I live in the what use to be the “The Pottery Capital “ of the world but alas there are none of the potteries left. We have one large pottery left across the river from us. You are right, the younger generation doesn’t seem to want the beauty of the special china and pottery anymore. It’s easier to have disposable dishes now days.
Yes I sure miss the Lenox outlet!! I treated myself to a beautiful set of dishes when I retired. We went there at least once a year. The prices were fabulous! We live about 45 minutes away but it was so worth the trip!!
@@kathierogers3208 If it is not the paper plates---they upgrade to plain white Corelle.
My dad worked for artcarved rings which was owned by Brown Forman who also owned Lenox and Hartmann luggage. I went to that warehouse in NJ after I was married and bought my crystal and flatware and many other things from Lenox. When I went we had 3 carts of fragile items to bring to the cashiers! All 50 percent off! I got beautiful double old fashioned glasses and goblets with gold painted trees for 1 dollar each. Ridiculous. I still have them and use them. When my daughter entertains her college friends they use all my Lenox stemware. But not the china. Federal cobalt blue a gift from my sisters and mom at my wedding shower. Each one of us was gifted a 12 piece place setting of Lenox China. Lenox was the China used by the White House. I think my children will want the china unless they buy their own. 🥰🎄🎅🏻. Linda did another beautiful job on her new home.

I just want to say I suffer from severe depression during the holidays and your show really helps me God bless you. And your family God Bless you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Little butter pats would be nice in the coasters too.
Beautiful and really shows Stewart's wonderful photography talent.
That silver and blue tree is stunning!
Of course, I am partial to the Christmas flashback, which will always be the Linda Vater and fairy tale house I fell in love with. Even your outfit is LV classic !! I know you are changing up most everything in the cottage on the hill.l Its ike LV 2.0. Trendy, and fashionable.... but the other house seemed more authentically you. Just my opinion. .
Agree, loved that home and all of its charm!
Linda, you and Stewart work so well together. What a wonderful team that brings the audience so much joy and inspiration. Thank you.
My mom always called it a silent cloth. She had one made of thick felt with a layer of plastic on top, cut to fit our big dining table. I just use old white towels underneath. Works fine!
Beautiful decor & excellent photography/lighting/editing! ❤️🎄❤️
The opening nighttime videography was oscar worthy!
I even place a table cloth that is liquid resistant with felt on the back under my pretty table cloth. This way if something sweats like a glass or is hot like a saucer etc it won’t allow the fluid to get to my antique table the I hold so dear as the table belonged to my dear mother in law. Just a thought
Oh gosh, everything is stunning! I do miss your old house. I really loved your warmer colors in that house, but I LOVE everything you do 🎄🎄🎄I love traditional and old fashioned!
I agree
Long time follower and I enjoyed the step back in time to your former dining room. I think it was one of my favorite rooms in that home.
All the beautiful vintage items Linda has can be purchased at yard sales church sales and in thrift stores. Etsy and eBay Facebook etc. Encourage the young ones to go to them to buy the sets. They can use them as every day china guilt free and don’t have to worry about breaking stemware they didn’t pay a lot for. It livens up everyday life. There are a lot of mugs and Christmas sets begging for a home. Most made in the USA and Europe. Have a coffee or tea or cocoa in their beautiful china and think about how it was made and when and enlighten your day! ! Linda has been a good teacher for this and now Leah shows us the way too! Thank you😊 ladies for your enlightening ways!!!🥰🥰
My mother in law used to use a new white sheet as a silencer for her table. It did the trick but everything like candles and wine glasses were still very sturdy and not wobbly.
Oh I would love to sit in the chairs by the fire.❤ soooo cozy. Thank you for sharing. Beautifully filmed Stewart. 😊 Love from Rosie O from Devon, England 🏴
Now we need a tour of the outside at night, looking in😁
I love the hurricane lamps on dining room table. I am not a table cloth person I prefer to see the beautiful wood. That tablecloth is beautiful though!😊
I have a very similar table cloth from my mom, circa 1950
Just beautiful. Stewart did a fantastic job Linda, you brought me back to life.thank you
This nighttime tour brought happy tears & goosebumps.
The filming , music plus the sparkles is spectacular. ❤😊 Merry Christmas to you & your staff.

Reminds me of how my grandmother set her Christmas table - very traditional.
Stunning!!!!
So pretty! 🎄🌺💚
Wonderful! Thank you!
Love your tree!! I am doing that next year since I started adding blue into m y white when you did. Great minds think alike!!😊 Texas 9
Hi, Linda. Thank you for your video. ❤ 🎉.
Stunningly beautiful!
So very elegant!!!
So beautiful and relaxing to watch!
Love your table setting. Dinning rooms are the best to decorate
Thanks for sharing this night time viewing of your cottage!! So lovely!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! May you be blessed with true peace and meaning of Christmas!!
Simply beautiful!
Actually we call it a "silence cloth". Lovely.
Just so lovely!!
Merry Christmas to you all too --- both christmas styles are beautiful.
Outstanding!!
I purchased a new non slip rug gripper pad years ago that I then sized to my table. It not only acts as a silencer but also holds the tablecloth securely in place. Happy Holidays to you & yours! 🎄
Your holiday house looks so happy and charming. So much fun!
So pretty, thank you
✨ 🎄🎁 Excellent photography Stewert ✌️
Linda, thank you for sharing your beautiful nighttime Holiday inspired home. Stewart, the videography, music and editing are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Merry Christmas to both of you and your families.
More fabulous ideas! Simply gorgeous and so inviting. Thanks again Linds. I just love watching you.❤
Magical photography on a stunning video. Thank you
Aww, Linda, we are so missing the grandeur and elegance of your Crown Heights home, especially the "morning room", the living room, the dining room, and the breakfast/sitting room with the fireplace and spectacular garden view. Yes, we know we can't live in the glorious past, we can only capture it fond memories.
I agree
Beautiful Linda! The nighttime tour really shows off the lovely Christmas decorations. Thank you Stewart.
Such a great video today. So sweet. I have the same wrapping paper and last week ordered a similar little Christmas tree in the frame. You really inspire me to seek out beauty wherever it may be. I'm feeling nostalgic too and I was prompted to bake some Italian pannetone today...it was very gloomy out but I was warm inside. I believe you are right about the vintage tablecloth.
Outstanding!
Beautiful!!
This is quite a spectacular holiday decor that ❤ beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎉 It feels so warm, cozy and inviting. Thanks so much, Linda, and much love and best wishes to your family from ours in Trinidad.❤ 💕

Love this table!!! Need to know about the glass cylinders on the tapers. They’re beautiful and I NEED them! Can you let me know where to get them?
Very Beautiful ❤
I love the gold J initial on the stocking I was wondering 💭 where you got it? Merry Christmas Linda 🎄
Beautiful work, Stewart. Link for tune please?
Yes ,50s
Beautiful!!! Where do you find those candle hurricanes on the table?
❤❤
Hi Linda, first of all I would like to tell you how much I enjoy your You Tubs and would like to know what is the brand name of your silver. I love the silver with gold tips they are so beautiful.
Please tell me about the glass chimneys on your brass candlesticks. I’m sure there was a link a while ago but can’t find it. Thank you!
♥️🙏🏼💚🎄💚🙏🏼♥️
My own personal opinion is everyone who either sends you or any other U-tuber a message should be kind enough to at least respond to the sender a thumbs up, a simple heart , a meaningful one word answer, or a Simple “Thank You “ including their first name if it was given! As you say several times a video 🎉/. OH THAT WOULD BE SO FUN ❣️ I wonder many times why was that message so much more meaningful than the one previous or following answer. If you read each & everyone why not even an emoji answer to make someone know they were heard😮! I’ll fall off the sofa. If this message is ever acknowledge. Rosalie
Rosalie, I’m sorry if you don’t feel heard or seen, and I appreciate your empathizing with others that you feel aren’t seen and heard as well. All I can say is that I am human, and there is only so much time in a day to acknowledge all of the kind souls out there. I get literally hundreds and hundreds of messages a day, not just on UA-cam, but other platforms as well…and to acknowledge every single one of them is almost impossible. Just ask my husband who thinks I spend too much time, acknowledging people online, and not enough time with him. 😉Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Linda, I picked myself off the floor and now back on the sofa. I so appreciated your lovely, gracious explanation….it made since and I fully understand. Especially Hubs mentioning your time you need to reply to so many.I cannot believe how gracious you were to me. I too wish you a Merry Christmas 🎄 & a Healthy Happy New Year. You’ll never how good you made me feel by explaining the way you did. And I can’t get enough of your videos, I have taken your advice on furnishings, flowers, entertaining and fashion.,& Thrifting ! God bless you & your Family.❣️
Do they have Spode salt and pepper shakers would be nice gal.
Beautiful but too much clutter on the table gal. I like to have room to put food on the table like turkey and fixings. Just saying
Beautiful
