So...Bonny Lee Bakley's family didn't want to be present at her funeral for "moral reasons", but had no problem being paid to do a commentary on the live-cast. Then they sued the father of her child, who had custody, for millions. The lawsuit derailed Blake's custody, and guardianship of Rose was won by her half-sister, Delinah, Blake's daughter from his first marriage. Rose suffered from anxiety and depression and required therapy for her family issues, but was reconciled with Robert Blake when she was 18. It is always the innocents who suffer. I'm happy she got her life on track. She deserves to be happy.

Blake is a gifted actor who has a lot of baggage from his experiences as a child star, many that stemmed from his own family. No doubt he approaches life differently from many of us. Some things about the crime are questionable. But considering the history of Bonnie behavior it is not surprising that her life ended violently.

My dogs are not happy about her singing. She wanted to get her hands on the celebrity men and got pregnant so she would have claim to the money. Women have to understand that the pregnancy will not keep a man. If they pay child support for the child then the child is supposed to be the one who benefits from the support not the mother. Marriage will not work to get money from the husband. She might benefit financially when married but, nothing if divorce happens. Especially when the marriage is over in months.

I think he hired someone to kill her. He brought her to dinner, deliberately left a gun, of all things, at the restaurant, which served as the excuse to leave her alone for a moment and to make it look like he did not use his own gun. As she sat in the car his hired gunman shot her and ran off.
There is a chilling recording you can find on YT of him talking to her on the phone when she told him she was pregnant..she said she couldn't get pregnant or something like that-then of course she deliberately set out to get pregnant. His seething anger at her deception is very evident on the recording.

I remember hearing the tape recording of that phone call on news program not long after her murder, and it was very disturbing. She was crying and begging for him to forgive her for lying about taking birth control, and he was having none of it. Obviously any man would be angry if he was scammed like that, but his response was chilling. He wasn’t screaming or crying, he was ice cold and just kept telling her: “But you lieeeeed....you lieeeed”, and you could just tell that he wanted her to be exterminated. At the same time it was hard to feel sorry for her once the information came out about her life of scams and crimes. No one deserves to be murdered, but it was clear that her life would end badly. She had to have been a sociopath without a conscience to do the things she did, and it was her unlucky fate to get involved with a dangerous man.

In 1993 Robert Blake starred in the excellent television movie “Judgement Day: The John List Story”. He played John List, a man who killed his mother, wife, and kids in 1971 and evaded justice for decades until the tv show “America’s Most Wanted” did a show about him. It’s one of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen, but what stands out in my mind is that I watched it in 1993 and was freaked out by how well Robert Blake played a such a cold blooded killer, it was like he wasn’t even acting. You can see that movie for free on youtube.

John List was more creepy than Norman Bates: a middle aged, very uptight and religious accountant living in a huge mansion in a very wealthy area of New Jersey who just kills his entire family. The way they were killed and how he arranged their bodies was unbelievably creepy. The way Robert Blake became him, and even looked like him, was so flawless it was scary.

I'll go out on a limb with this. Blake started out as a child actor in the 30s. Today, we all know that many child actors are, taken advantage of, and it messes them up for life. Bonny Lee was just another person in Blakes life that wanted something from him and used him. I think he snapped. I don't think he did it himself, but had someone else do it. The man had had enough, she was a grifter and all he really had was a run down ranch and was pretty frugal with his money. As I recall, she wasnt even living with him in the ranch, she was living in a guest house behind the ranch. Her gig was up and he couldnt get rid of her with a divorce, she was threatening him and the relationship was very volatile. Wikipedia also states that he was physically and sexually abused by both of his parents. Great Actor with a lot of bad things that happened to him

The reason I believe that he probably did it, is because NOBODY else would throw the murder weapon right there in the dumpster. If you are a criminal, a thief, a jilted lover, a serial killer, random murderer, juvenile thug, etc., you are going to take your weapon with you. You may get rid of it later, but you are not going to leave it at the scene!! Blake had to dump it there really quickly, as he could not leave the scene. He was trapped there. So, anything else does not make sense!! I know some criminals are not the brightest, but nobody is going to leave the murder weapon there, plus they wiped it clean of fingerprints, first. Nobody else could afford to take that extra time. They would run off with the weapon, and clean it away from the scene, and get rid of it. Very suspicious!! Points to guilt on Blake.

In a criminal case, the burden of proof, as you say, is beyond a reasonable doubt. This is a much more difficult standard than preponderance of the evidence. That's why someone can be found liable in a civil trial and not guilty in a criminal trial for the same act. Now you never have to wonder again.

I remember the biggest issue the prosecution had was the timeline and lack to GSR and blood residue. I can't remember the details, but from the time on his CC receipt, to the time he came back in and asked them to call police, it was a very short window of time and given all the things he was known to have done during that time, there wasn't any time for him to have cleaned up. It's entirely possible he had someone else kill her. He hung out with some shady guys who might have been willing to do it, but there really wasn't any evidence for it. Unfortunately she lived a life of criminality & it caught up with her . The ex seemed to be right about her demise . And yes its obvious Blake was the killer .

Years ago I heard Blake had a place in Pinedale, Wyoming where he threatened some hunters fir inadvertently crossing his property. Appears he was a very troubled and disturbed man and dangerous as well.

Heres the thing though when Blake went and got help and went back to the car his wife was still alive, they said she was breathing if he shot her she would know he did, im saying i dont think he would leave her alive that would be really dumb, so i think he was innocent. And she had so many other enemies idk 🤷‍♂️

Bonnie had many people who wanted her dead, could have been any one of them. If Blake did it he did it to protect his daughter from a vile grifter and scum who was her mother.
