I almost drowned at age 11 in the Colorado River. My Father attempted to rescue me and went under and his body was found two weeks later. Myself and family speculated he may have had a heart attack. I still remember struggling and being terrified almost 50 years later.

I almost drowned in a creek cause I got lost in the woods in the winter at night. I used to go hang out in the woods near where I was living at the time. I would just walk around, climb trees or up on the old bridge above the creek and watch the ppl in canoes go by. Listening to my little cd music player w/ headphones. Almost 20 years ago. I stayed too long and it got dark. I thought I knew my way out but it got so dark I couldn't see. I started panicking cause I couldn't find my way out around the creek. I knew the one part of the creek faced the direction of where I lived. It was also the part of the creek where one water way spilled into the creek so I could hear the water rushing loudly. I was scared and freezing and just wanted to get out of there fast. I couldn't see anything! So I held my mini backpack over my head and started walking across. At first it went halfway up my chest. There were rocks under my feet and they were super slippery like they were covered in something. The rushing water was pushing me. It was FREEZING! This is late November in Ohio back when it was REALLY COLD in that month! As I got closer to the middle I took a step and my foot went down low. The water came up past my chin! I had to tilt my head back to not swallow the water. I started thinking at that point I'm going to get swept away and either drown or die by hypothermia. It was so hard to stay steady. I was crying and praying. I was already halfway and I couldn't turn back now cause I was soaked. I prayed so hard the rest of the way. I finally made it out and onto the other side. I had a good 20 minute walk home after that. And I never went back to the woods again. I damn near had a panick attack remembering that night to talk about it. But I couldn't imagine being a child and then having my own father drown trying to save me. That must have been terrifying and completely heart-wrenching. I'm so sorry.

Same with me in a river once. I was struggling in a terrible current and fatiguing to the point I knew it was over, but suddenly started feeling the bottom and began hopping toward the shore with what little I had left in me. I had nieces and nephews there and had just helped a nephew get his footing before I lost mine. I thought all were about to witness me actually die before their very eyes. Rough.

They waited 2 hours before radioing for help:
In the archive of forgotten facts, hidden truths, and concealed evidence about Natalie Wood, what is most shocking is Robert Wagner’s role in her drowning. The man that Natalie Wood married not once but twice, who would often say, with glass raised, “She takes my breath away,” refused to search for two and a half hours when Natalie went missing from their boat in the waters off Catalina Island.

    • @ingvarhallstrom2306
      @ingvarhallstrom2306 Рік тому +21

"refused to search for her" is quite a harsh conclusion. If they had been sitting in the cabin drinking and suddenly wondered where she had been gone and they found both her and the dingy missing it's plausible they thought she had gone into land. And it's also plausible they didn't start worrying about her until a couple of hours later when she never returned. It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

I was a senior in high school we had a 30 foot sailboat named prime time. We were there that weekend that Natalie Wood died. We were at Avalon. She was at the isthmus, which was at the northern end of the island. There’s only one restaurant there. The restaurant was called Doug’s place you can’t get to the isthmus without a boat from Avalon.
Sailing since I was nine years old, I can tell you that getting in a dinghy from the water is damn near impossible. You have to have a lot of upper body strength. I don’t see how any inebriated person also being a woman could get into a dinghy from the water it’s a lot more difficult than you would imagine.

I can personally attest to this! I had a situation where I had to get into a dinghy straight from the water. Being in the ocean compounds it. It's not as if you're in a calm relatively shallow lake or pond. I'm 127lbs 5'5 and pretty strong for a female. I'm not a fitness nut but I do work out. Pffft, for the life of me I could NOT get into the dinghy! Thankfully my friend was able to pull me up and into the boat. Even if it were a life/death situation, I don't think I could've gotten into it on my own volition.

I have a theory that RW and NW were arguing on the deck. It got physical and RW pushed her and she fell over the side. She called for help and he let her drown.
Natalie had a lifelong fear of water. Especially dark water. I think about the fear she felt about her nightmare coming true. My heart hurts for her.

I just saw an interview with the boat Captain and he said Wagner and Natalie were screaming at each
other. He went to the room and Wagner answered the door and told him things were ok and to leave.
Then a short time later he went to the room again because it was so quiet and Wagner opened the
door stood there and said Natalie's gone. The bedroom door was opened to the transom and dinghy area
so it looked suspicious. He also said Wagner was angry at Natalie and threw a wine bottle across the room
when they were all in the lounge. Walken went to his cabin, captain to his cabin and Natalie and Wagner to their cabin. He had been jealous of Natalie and Walken all night. The captain was a young kid...had worked for
them a long time and had many conversations with Natalie. The way he was talking didn't make Wagner
seem innocent. I saw the interview in UA-cam within the last 1 1/2 months.

@@Ephemeral2023With all due respect to your comment, many times alcohol can lower your inhibitions and say "eff it." Meaning, I agree with you. Natalie may have been drunk enough and upset/angry enough to have said "Screw this, I'm going back to land."
About 20 years ago I was on vacation with my now ex-fiance. This is back when I used to drink heavily and one particular night I was pretty ripped. My (then) fianceé and I had gotten into an argument. We were staying in a rented beachfront condo. It was around midnight and I was pretty pissed off from arguing and decided to go for a walk on the beach to calm down and burn off some anger. I don't know what possessed my stupid ass but I ended up walking out a pier, jumped into the ocean and swam back to the beach. Pitch darkness in choppy waves and I'm really not the greatest swimmer. To make things worse, I started to get pulled further out by a rip-tide. Thankfully I had enough cognitive use of my brain to remember to swim horizontally to the shore if caught in a rip-tide. I definitely had a guardian angel looking out for me that night. I ended up being in the water for 15-20 minutes. Like I said, I'm not the best swimmer. I thank my lucky stars/guardian angel/God/the Universe...whatever kept me from drowning that night. Honestly, I probably should've died given the circumstances.
The sea, being drunk and pissed off fighting with your significant other is never a good combo .

This is an excellent posting, Scott. I think the skipper of a boat should not be allowed to be intoxicated when his boat is in use, be it anchored or in motion. A clear-headed captain would have done something to ascertain where Natalie was. Did Natalie Wood know how to swim? Natalie's younger sister, actress Lana Wood, reportedly suspected Robert Wagner of being responsible for her sister's death. I never felt that Christopher Walken nor Robert Wagner were very forthcoming in their statements. The whole thing is strange---three grown men with one small lady who happens to be world famous, on a small boat together, and she drowns just feet from where they are at. And one of the men is her husband. Supposedly it was known to him that his wife was terrified of "deep, dark water." Hmmm..........

Gail here ! Robert has appeared in a movie about Prince Vallent ( misspelled ) back in the '50's . Could be the reason it was named that . The boat was named for the movie that Natalie made with Warren Beatty that resulted in the affair that broke up their first marriage . Always wondered about that ! She was my favorite movie star when I was a kid . Always played I was her when we played dressup. She was one of the few brunette stars . I didn't want to be a blonde . My friend was Sandra Dee .

There was no affair. That was the public story.
The truth is that Ms. Wood cdn't find Wagner in the middle of the night.
She caught him with the butler. She ran screaming from the house, filed for divorce the next day, had a nervous breakdown, and didn't work for a year.
Read "Natasha: The Story of Natalie Wood" by Suzanne Finstad.

I met Natalie Woods when she came to Grey Advertising in NY to get some photos for a movie made for TV. My ex husband was the art director there for the shoot. She came in and locked herself in the dressing room and wouldn’t come out. Everyone was upset as time is money.. I ran downstairs to the lobby store and bought 5 little knitted animal finger puppets. I told my ex to show them to her and she loved them and put them on, he’s got the photo of her with them. She seemed to be terribly anxious and this calmed her so hair and makeup was done and I will never forget her beautiful but sad face…

What does not make sense. Long history of the dingy getting too much slack in the line and banging against hull of yacht. Many friends that had been on the boat spoke on it. She turned in early in front cabin and could not sleep because of banging . Got up, went to the deck to tighten line ,slipped when pulling dingy close because she was a little tipsy and we know the end. Completely explains why dingy was not prepared for operation,it was in off position and oars were rigged. The current pulled her away from yacht with dingy and slight rash from her trying to get into it. When they stated her down jacket weighed 40lbs because it was soaked that is the clincher. Maybe if she had been less under the influence she might have tried taken the coat off but who knows. When family and friends that were close talk about this which is rare now,not one ,except her disturbed sister ,still trying to ride her coattails ,speak ill of RJ, or give any of this conspiracy any Creedence at all.Just a really tragic accident. The captain literally had to change his story before the publisher agreed to the book deal. Reeks of money motivation.Their marriage was good with no prior history of violence.

So by RJ’s own admittance, he went back to the restaurant to look for her and also called the restaurant at 1:30. That’s kinda contradictory and conveniently his friend is parked right next to him in their yacht, not to mention that they were also on a first name basis.
I just also find it very convenient that his cohost S. Lost her longtime boyfriend, William Holden, within two weeks of Natalie’s death I believe it was before Natalie died.

I think Holden was very upset that Stefanie was in Hawaii filming and he couldn't get a hold of her.
He got very drunk and hit his head. He tried to clean up the mess but he didn't survive it.
RJ went over to comfort Stefanie a number of times and then just weeks later Natalie drown.
I think he was having an affair with Stefanie. She looked so mad when they were on a parade with RJ and Natalie and the girls.
This is just my personal opinion from watching many different videos.

Petichia are small pinpoint broken blood vessels that are sometimes seen in the eyes that indicate lack of oxygen...this is sometimes a finding in strangulation and part of the investigative process...

As you described the bruises on her legs the first thing I pictured in my mind was Natalie being forcefully picked up by her legs & thrown over the railing. She could not have fallen over the railing by herself because the railing was too high. I will never believe it was an accident it was murder!

When my daughter died, I was asked if I wanted the toxicology pieces back. My child had already been cremated by then. I told them to dispose of them for me.

My late neighbor and friend Margaret ‘Peggy’ Stout lived next door to the Wagner’s on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills for many years. She and her husband longtime CBS News journalist Bill Stout were friends with the Wagner’s for years. Peggy told me she absolutely adored Natalie and when I casually asked her one evening over dinner if she thought RJ Wagner had anything to do with the drowning. Her opinion was he had nothing to do with the incident and she said he deeply loved his wife. Peggy said Natalie was a wonderful person and I asked her what about Wagner’s current wife Jill St. John-Peggy shot back ‘not so much’ with a laugh. She remained friends with RJ Wagner until her death a few years ago.
