Very true!! I can’t count the amount of times I’ve listened to black market from that live album. Favorite version of the song, his drumming is fantastic!

IT'S A SPECIAL EXTRA TALENT DIMENTION INCORPORATING ALL ASPECTS OF WHAT'S INVOLVED WITH LEARNING TO PLAYING THE DRUMS, CO-ORDINATION AND TECHNIQUE IS JUST A GIVEN NECESSARY TO HACK IT ALONG WITH READING ABILITY WITH TASTE. 5:01, is that Benny Greb and Anika Niles?? 0_o Man Peter is just disgusting on drums. A lot of drummers forget that dynamics and finesse are wayyy more impressive than how fast you can play or what chops you can incorporate in odd times.
You can play paradiddles all you want if you cant read piano on sheet music you're a lost cause.

It's funny , I heard pools the a original version, then Steve Smith, didn't like it, that's props with Erskine .
Steve did not seem to understand the Groove in Pools.
I totally don’t get his grip,,, he’s holding the sticks way far back-- I’ve seen that before but don’t really understand how that works....
His stick is long taper, balance is different than a 5A for example. Which is strange is his stick is like the 5B in thickness, which is very odd for a Jazz player, he has is own technic and approach sure thing.
