Sheesh🌀... If you enjoy what I do and want to continue to see MUSIC reactions on this channel consider supporting. 70% of my videos are not monetized. Between setting up the studio every day, filming, editing, thumbnails, and research which all take away from my family you guys keep me motivated. Consider buying me a coffee here

That's actually not Maynard. It's Henry Rollins. Another legend in his own right. One of if not the only time I can think of where someone was on a Track with Tool rather than the other way around. Love your reacts.

The spoken word part was done by Henry Rollins, frontman of Black Flag and the Rollins Band. He is a legend in his own right. While not being as musically talented as the guys in Tool, he's earned his fame as an iconic rock poet. He was already famous before Tool got going, so he actually helped them a bit.

From the older generation(GenX) it's a pure joy to me seeing people get blown away by our music for the first time🤘

There was a time when I thought the idea of a reaction channel was redundant. Why would I wanna watch a stranger watch a movie? But reaction videos have probably become my most watched videos as of late. The songs you are listening to for the first time are songs that have been part of my life for years. I know every lyric and every rhythm by heart and half of them I know how to play on guitar also. I love these songs completely but I can never replicate the feeling of listening to these songs for the very first time again. Reaction videos offer you that experience vicariously. Seeing you discover a piece of art that I know and love well is entertaining regardless of your opinion on the piece. That’s why I watch…

For the longest time I have looked at Tool’s music as the flower of life blooming. Opiate is the soil, Undertow is the seed, Aenima is the pod forming, Lateralus is the blooming, 10,000 Days is the petal blowing away into the wind, and Fear Inoculum is the pollen spreading and recreating itself endlessly. ⚡️

The spoken word part is Henry Rollins, who is an underappreciated Icon that I recommend highly. Henry Rollins Band, spoken word shows, books, articles, and even his talk show are worth experiencing. Since you mentioned folk and bands that someone loves every album all the way through I recommend Mazzy Star. Have a good one!

I honestly can't remember if I've brought it up before, but the O'Keefe Music Foundation does a cover of 46&2 that is stellar. I would love to see you react to that! It's done by kids.

It’s tough putting yourself out there. Most of us aren’t doing it. We love your perspective.

Saw this live in 1992 in seattle when Tool opened for Henry before the album came out. Mind blowing and I bought the ep from Adam and still have the ticket stub!

My favorite day is when Polo reacts to a new tool song. So sorry that happened to you, But still grateful to see your thoughts, and reaction, even if it's your second time hearing it, sometimes you get more out of it the second time than the first time.

I have about six reactors I watch regularly, and you, Polo, have moved yourself up to my favorite. At least the reactor who I look forward to the most. (Though Im also a huge Tool fan so there is that.) I enjoy your authenticy. Some reactors it can at times feel like you are watching them "work", but with you, its like watching a video and/or listening to a song with a good friend. Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing with us.

as someone who has been a Tool fan since I was 12 or 13, it's nice being able to watch someone else's first time hearing Tool that brings back the endorphins. I also like hearing your takes on what impresses you about the music as a laymen, that the "pro" reactors don't offer. Glad to see your channel and want to see you grow with it. Glad that you're feeling better!

Thank you for being one of the REALEST people on UA-cam seriously from the bottom of my heart. I caught one of videos because I'm an aspiring guitar enthusiast and dabble in Tool, one of my all time favorite bands. Something about your reactions being so similar to mine is connecting in way that is hard to describe. Much love brother keep it going!!

This song and Crawl Away are top dogs for releasing anger. The whole Undertow album is an emotional cleansing, I love it.

This is one of 3 tracks on this album that hooked me on the band back in '93/'94. Sober, Bottom and the bizarre outro Disgustipated. That outro blew my mind as a 10yo, and instantly opened my mind to what was possible in music. Tool have subsequently fed into musical path, including my time as a drummer, vocalist, and now producer. Undertow is my fav album. Also, big up yourself Polo, I respect your integrity and your enthusiasm. Chur bro 👊👊
