How could they NOT???😂
He was HILARIOUS!!!
I couldn't have wished for a better reaction...LOVE that song! Lol from Spain😊
My next door neighbor called the cops because I was playing this song too loud. The police showed up 10 minutes later and arrested my neighbor.
I feel like Shaq could be famous someday because of his personality. I would love a show where he interviews rap (and other) artists like “That Metal Show” did for metal. That would be tuff!!!
"When you react to Tool, it's not a reaction. It's a moment."
That right there is tough.
It was nice of Danny to let the boys jump on and contribute to his song. Danny Carey is no longer competing with anyone else, he’s competing with his previous work with TOOL.
🐐 🥁
*tuff
ozabobododo Ain’t That the truth. He’s become an actual god of his instrument
I was reading this comment while he said that lol
def an experience..took the words out of my mouth
Dipping your foot into the waters of Tool, you realize it isn’t a lake but an ocean.
It reminds me of that line in John Wick when Winston says you dip so much as a toe into this pond and you might find something that reaches you and pulls you into it's depths. Absolutely true!
It's like going to splash in a puddle and fucking disappearing beneath the concrete
omg you referenced alan wake and you love tool... you like my favourite person ever... :d
Learn to swim
But then you jump into the ocean and suddenly you're floating through space.
Tool is definitely alien music . Man such great musicians .
Only the best
Said for a long time that they are one of the most musically talented bands. Not rock bands. Bands period. Just amazing.
Attuned with the Mechanical Elves of the DMT realms. lol
Triad needs to be playin durin the a51 raid
EASTER EGG: If you divide the song in half at 5:11 MJK says Mitosis..which is splitting a cell in half! Genius!
SprayPaintDude _ i’m ready to see all the hidden things in the new album
Are u for real? Is this true??
@Nec Ro Coincidence? This is the band that made a whole fucking song around the Fibonacci Sequence.
@Nec Ro there are no coincidences with Tool.
@@rtiq270 a whole album. If you play the songs in order of the Fibonacci sequence they actually gel together and combine into one complete track on Lateralus. That's why it takes so long for them to come out with an album, it's a work of art and a masterpiece of thought.
Whole album is an absolute masterpiece front to back.
I've only listened to this album ever since it came out. Literally no other songs. Only the ones from fear inoculum.
Agree! I put my headphones on and closed my eyes and didn't finish until the album was done the day this masterpiece dropped
This is the kind of song that you hear something new every time you listen to it.
Facts, ive listend to it 15 times already and pick up something new each time
For me it gets better every time.i have listened to it 30 times.
for real i heard it on 3 different sound systems. most recently my phone. and ive never enjoyed the track more lol every time i listen it gets better and i notice subtlety.
Absolutely. I've listened to this a dozen times and I'm still wrapping my head around everything.
Good pair of headphones in concert hall mode. Jesus Christ!
The Drummer is Danny. Yes, he is one of the best living drummers.
Shit after this on top of what we've already heard...maybe best ever
@@Awoodward7899 I've heard their entire discography except maybe for a few very unknown songs. Danny is at least top 3 for living drummers. Top 10 for all time drummers. He is my favorite
Well he's definitely your favorite drummers favorite drummer.
Danny is goddamn amazing and he's so.....eclectic. I don't know how else to say it. He's very technical but he's so.......different. Top 3 for sure. I can't in good conscience put him before Zepplin's Bonham or Rush's Peart but since one has passed and the other is officially retired ........can't name anyone I'd put before Danny on a list of active bangers.
Not even close.
I could go on for a year+ on Drummers that put him to shame.
The Drummer is Danny Carey. One of the best drummers in music today.
Tool is metal with a groove.
Carey and Keenan’s time signatures are terrifying.
Metal with groove and soul
Keenan? He contributes nothing to the time signatures.. thats all adam and justin, danny then writes to fit the riffs.
J R Thats actually not true, at all. Tool are very unorthodox. The layering process is very abnormal. Very often, Maynard lays the vocals down right after the drums.
“It sounds like their sneaking up on you” 😂💀
The best way to explain it.
Yeah...they were giving us all a heads up on this virus. Shit! Lol
Maynard James Keenan - Vocals
Adam Jones - Guitar
Justin Chancellor - Bass
Danny Carey - Drum GOD
Im willing to say Bass GOD as well for Chancellor
Agreed. Carey is GOD level
Hands down one of the best if not the best drummer out there right now!
howlingmine there is no better way of describing him, nicely done
I think they're all gods. Maybe it seems simple but they have lots of technical knowledge, they always play in a way that highlights each other so that they all sound great and unique.
It doesn't matter what song, just please react to more TOOL Coach!
well said
You're right it doesn't matter which song 👍
Prison Sex
•SkyeHiJedi• agreed. Can pretty much react to anything. It’s all good.

you don't LISTEN to TOOL......you EXPERIENCE TOOL. 🤘
I eat, breathe, and poop TOOL.
I don’t have my headphones on but I can already tell that with phones on, this song is an entirely different experience.
Yeah it is, I've listened to it with and without my headphones on and in my car (500 watt amp through 2 10" subs) without headphones I almost can't hear Justin at all when Adam comes in, even when it's just Justin and Danny the bass sounds really compressed. Headphones make a world of difference.
Every Tool song is like that. They have songs with this weird sound that sounds like it's a squiggly line rolling through your head when you listen to it with phones on.
@@samurai215 binaural beats
I hear something new every time I listen to this song ,especially when I put headphones on.
To answer your last question, it was worth the wait. It's Tool, and as a Tool fan, that's all I can ask for. They haven't diluted themselves.
God yes!!! Been a fan for years and years!!! I'm excited. I am definitely willing to pay almost 50$ for the album!!
I’ve been a fan since high school when Undertow was released. Own every album they have released 🤘🏾.

You should react to Lateralus. The whole song is based around the Fibonacci sequence. 🔥🔥🔥
And acid
Best thing about Tool is their ability to write and play in extremely fucked up time signatures and still sound smooth as an ocean. Not to mention they're usually all playing in a different time signature and just meeting back at the 16th or 32nd.
Tool is just that band that makes your brain go "Pooof"
You are absolutely correct and that is why Carey stands out. People don't do this in popular music because either they can't do it or can't make it sound good, but Tool does both. Even studio guys that get paid big bucks can't do these odd time signatures this flawlessly.
It's a nood to classic orchestra. It's crazy how a "quartet" playing on differnt time signatures meeting back In a fibonacci sequence can rock like they do. Getting everyone from simple listeners to the most advanced. Truly outrageous to melt it all together. Thank you tool.
Not only are the time signatures odd but different members of the band are playing in different groupings/meters at the same time. And it still sounds smooth af - that’s art
“Bro, how is they doing this?” Thats freaking awesome man. It’s cool to see ppl expand there music interests and your take on metal and emotion is spot on. Love it homie. 🤘🏽It was worth the wait
Very humble of you; "Im learning right now." Keep up the good stuff coach🤘😎

As a black rocker/metalhead, you got my subscription. Tool is one of my favorites 🤘🏾. Just seen them in concert a few months ago. Finally a new album from them ❤️
I know this is an old comment, but where did you see them? I saw them on the Fear Inoculum tour in Memphis, TN on my 28th birthday. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Danny needs a Grammy for what we’re about to experience in this album! 🤘🔥

I love Tool's music for a meditative trance kind of vibe. Hard to find that anywhere else.
Between the Buried and Me, listen to the instrumental versions of their songs, fuckin amazing.
As a lifetime TOOL fan I am so happy to see these types of eye-opening reactions
The drums and bass are the soul of TOOL and the guitar and lyrics are the cherries in top.
Great reaction
Please do a reaction video to "Sober" by TOOL the live version.
I've been emailing him trying to get him to do this. It's gotta be the 1993 Reading Festival performance. That is one of the most emotional musical performances ever caught on film.
Yes! Reading Festival live performance of Sober! Maynard was most definitely *not* sober though. 🙃
@@ashleysmith3562 ...Yes he was. Diminishing his deeply passionate, artistic expression to a mere drug high is incredibly insulting to his ability as a performer. He was sober. You don't need drugs to be a genius performance artist.
Look, how about your favorite artist doesn't drop a damn thing in 13 years and let's see how calm and collected you act 😂

Aenima is one of the greatest albums of all time... He could spend a few weeks on that masterpiece...

Danny Carey is one of the best drummers of all time. This song is amazing. I've seen tool live since 1995. Can't wait to the album.
After this I think hes probably best ever..fucking amazing

LOVED this song, and love your reaction as always.
Agreed
Eulogy is possibly my favorite Tool song.
“You said that this time you would die for me, why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy”
Tool albums are intricate clusters of songs to experience as a whole, but fortunately songs are absolutely amazing to enjoy when you don’t have 80+ minutes available to take a journey.
That's what I'm talking about! TOOL🤘🤘
Vocals: Maynard James Keenan
Guitar: Adam Jones
Bass: Justin Chancellor
Drums: Danny Carey
Maynard's vocals ARE an instrument
Adam Jones is pound for pound the best guitarist around
Justin looks and plays like what I assume Jesus would play like (if hes still rockin the long hair)
Danny, well he is without a doubt the drummer to beat.
I do feel sorry for the old bassist. Yeah, that guy that no one remembers. After Justin usurped his position, the band became whole.
Sad note, probably their last album. Seeing how Maynard is doing so many other things in music and with his vineyard.
Phil Bert Paul D’Amour was the first bassist for Tool, and definitely not a scrub that nobody remembers lol. He’s done music with bands like Ministry, and Lusk. And a phenomenal bass player. Just saying lol
Also, he left because he wanted to play guitar, rather than bass. Just thought I’d add that part in there lol.
@@eldiabloblanco3167 yeah Danny never coming off throne after this shit on top of everything else...amazing
All Hail the Reverend and crew. Tool will blow your mind.
I love that you love this shit, bro. For real. Any time I catch you peepin' metal, it makes my day!
This one goes out to all the tool fans who passed before this new album dropped
Reason why they are receiving so much attention is their last album released 13 years ago, they also just released all their music to streaming platforms, the band is pretty reclusive, and they remain to this day, one of the deepest, most spiritual experiences in metal music.
Must do AENIMA. Please coach do this song. You'll love it!! Sober, the pot, 46 & 2. So many its ridiculous!! Just go on a worm hole and enjoy!

Dude, fellow kiwi here, did you get to see them live last month?
Holy shit they were phenomenal!
Well worth the wait. That song is everything I’ve always loved about Tool put into one song.
Also, I heard Maynard talking on Joe Rogan about how he never write lyrics before the music. He always writes the lyrics TO the music. So your comment about the music vs lyrics actually makes sense with Tool. But don’t ignore the lyrics. Maynard’s are always extremely deep and cryptic.
You are HILARIOUS!!!! And your reaction gave me the chills. Love that you loved it and appreciate the genius behind this man. And band. This was worth 13 years waiting. I’d wait another 50 for them. Tool fans are tight! And I don’t know many personally so I feel like a freak 😂. I literally lost my breath when this ended (first time I heard it) and tears flowed down my cheeks uninvited. The ending to Vicarious....Danny Carey is not human...
Tool has all the reason to take time making an album. Everytime they release something... it's an out of body experience. Hypnotic in every way. It's like they put spells in every song. The science, the spiritual, and the physical aspects of nature..

If I have to wait until the next life for a new Tool song, it wouldn't be too long.
One way to make that sound is to hammer on a note and then turning the volume pot of the guitar up, then down. Makes that sound like a cello.

Volume swells.
Is that the same technique from My Dying Bride's 'She is the Dark' where they Play a note, turn the volume all the way off, then hammer on a different note before turning it up again?
