Wow! You kind of transported me to an autumn English country side where the English woman is reading poetry, drinking tea, snacking on pies and Shepard’s pie, and later watching an old black and white film on some British romantic movie that takes place in WWII. And doing all this while it is raining. No offence, but CD is really better. After a while, the cracks and pops get worse and worse. Hey, I grew up with analogue so I know. I do listen to jazz sometimes when it is raining but it sounds so much better on CDs. I do read romantic novels every now and then but I am a bit eclectic in literature. I do sample poetry like the ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ and ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’. Anyway, I love you your your English accent. Like I told several British women, you sound like singing when you speak. What a breath of fresh air to hear. Now I am waiting to hear Vera Lynn singing ‘We'll Meet Again’ in the background while it is raining, reading my contemporary romance story by Debbie Macomber. Then it would be followed by reading ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’ by George Orwell while it is still raining.
I appreciate every lesson you teach us to improve our language and learn from your ideas and stories. I do love the way you all speak many accents, some of them are hard to understand but it worths to practice. Greetings from Chile miss Katherine. 🇨🇱 👋 🇬🇧
Hi Katharine. What a lovely video! It's just nostalgic. Oliver Twist, poetry, music in 50s, fountain pen and rain outside. You set the scene. And often you become some long forgotten characters in the British literature. Thanks a lot.
Hi my most charming and ravishing! There is something about your voice, about your tone, Katherine, that is absolutely insane and make my heart and soul capsize. I mean I literally melt like a poor and ridiculous icecube under a scorching sun when I hear you read poetry. This is a thing of unfathomable beauty to me. I just can't explain it, but that's what it is... Is this only me or have you already been told this? You should really release audio books or reading videos where you would read a novel or poetries! 🌹❤
For luck I have arrived to this channel. I am from Spain and I understand almost everything you say because of your excellent pronunciation. Thanks Katharine for encouraging me to continue learning English.
It seemed to me as I was journeying to my childhood while listening and watching this video. Thanks for introducing us the culture and customs of UK as to learn any language we need to know the culture of its people. Thanks.
Winter, spring, summer or fall...all we got to do is switch on our computer...and you will be there, Kat, teaching us your lovely language in a romantic voice with an outstanding beauty...God bless every step you take...you're unforgettable! 🥰
This video is so lovely and cosy! Just by watching the video, I started feeling cosy.. I found your channel randomly but now I'm in love with your videos❤. Especially the thumbnails! They are so good👍. I'll try to press flowers🌸 this weekend.
Good morning Kat . Amber weather warning today here in the Netherlands . The leaves have turned from green to yellow and red , and are massively falling off , blown away by the stormy weather .🍁🍁
"... I shall sing when night’s decay Ushers in a drearier day." That's just incredible and awesome! Thanks, Katharine, you made my day! This video is bloody cool!💥👋👋👋

I purchased fountain pen in 1957 & ink blots on my childhood showers all ware white.I enjoyed with you great teachings remembering my child hood. Thanku. My doh:- is sept 1950.
Dear Kat , I put in a lot of effort to set back the clock in a flash of nostalgia this week - I bought a printed copy of (the evergreen classic ?) " Jane Eyre " by Charlotte Bronte (Oliver Twist like..) at a bookstore , used a CD player and listened to the good old golden songs , and write with a " Parker " pen on paper as I make notes studying your video lesson , e.g. notes like.. - trug , trough are maybe related words , " kids wll be kids " meaning , a flea market , etc...
Katharine, your video is absolutely delightful! It truly transported me to England with all these charming and cosy activities. Apple crumble and a pot of earl grey tea sound like the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Thank you for sharing a slice of British culture with us. Your passion and dedication to teaching English shines through. Keep up the amazing work, and I can't wait for more videos like this! Cheers! 🍎☕📖
It's lovely!! Because of you, I will love British culture and autumn more. I really enjoy these ideas and stories.Thank you very much for such a interesting video .
Haha The Monty Pythons and the Holy Grail! Love it 👍 You remember that scene when King Arthur (Graham Chapman), King of the Britons, wants to cross that bridge guarded by the Black Knight (John Cleese). The Black knight refuses to pledge allegiance to the king and goes: 'none shall pass!' And a sword fight ensues between both where Arthur cuts off his left arm first, then his right arm but the black knight obstinately continues fighting with kicks and headbutts; so, Arthur has no choice but cut off his right leg and finally his left leg and at the end, the black knight is like: 'All right, let's call it a draw!' 😂😂 I refound the hilarious extract here: ua-cam.com/video/ZmInkxbvlCs/v-deo.html
