The summer in India is boiling. The temperature shoots to 42 in the month of June. But it's soothing in hills. We've so many hill stations here. So it's very pleasant to visit there. We have lush green rolling hills with some natural flowers grown over there in this season similiar as in UK. 15:47 15:47

Tokyo is boiling today that you can't imagine. Lots of Japanese women use sunshade parasol as the sunlight is extremely strong. It is an essential summer item for us. But once pop in anywhere, we can cool down as the air conditioning is used for all of the places, 100%.

This ABBA signature Summer Blonde female singer with Swedish accent
is able to strike a sensitive chord in each and everyone' s soul in the audience and worldwide.
Her sensitive and generous soul , (qualities I also see in you ) , makes her enable
to convey ardent feelings of passion , and maybe sometimes
" A Damsel in distress" feelings of fragility , I believe no female singer
has ever done before . Combined with the extraordinary lyrics it s no wonder the pop group were , and still are , so successful .
Humanity needs Diva singers and artists like her - like you , if you allow me to say so.
May you and your beloved video channel grow in our hearts forever. ❤

Thank you so much for this inspiring video❤❤❤ I love all the seasons))) Each one is unique. In my country Ukraine summer is beautiful, mild and sunny 🌻🌻☀️🌻🌻 Summer months in Ukrainian language have some special meanings. June (Червень) - a lot of red 🍒♥️🍒 colours (flowers and fruits 🌹🌺🌹 red roses, poppies, peonies, cherries) I've heard that pictured in full bloom, the peony symbolises peace))) July (Липень) - Lime trees in bloom. Lime tea, in addition to useful properties, has a beautiful golden colour and a very pleasant flavour)))
August (Серпень) - it means the sickle that my ancestors used to cut the harvest)))

Thank you Katharine for this lovely video ! I have been surprised by the diversity of words . Sizzling , pear ( pronunciation) , peony , shade new meaning ( # 50 shades of gray) , sun-kissed , to put on factor 50 , Tan ,
In Morocco , in my city , we are sizzling under a temperature of 41-42 degres C . We have AC inside , but outside we have to walk under the shide of buildings . To fresh down we have to travel to the beach , 60 km Far . Like you I don’t like to lay down on the beach for hours . Protection is necessary by putting on a sun cream . I ´m slightly sun-kissed . The first day I had akes in my shoulders because they was burnt by the sun .
    Have a good day !❤

Ah the Seasons!, Ah ... dear Seasons!
    I never get enough
    Of dreaming their odours
    Of living their colours
    And finding their reasons...
Ah the seasons! Ah ... dear seasons!
You will be Summer on my lips
I will be Autumn at your feet
    Blue-fingered Winter over sheets
    We will be Springly lunatics
Ah the Seasons!, Ah ... dear Seasons!
    I go without a sigh
    Watching for their rumours
    Stealing their whole ardours
    Living them, you nearby...
Ah the seasons! Ah ... the seasons!
    Seeing one Winter starving you
    Blazing you, yet another Spring
One more Summer blooming in you
One single Fall to laugh at it
Ah the Seasons!, O ... dear Seasons!
    Seems I will never cease
    To distill your flowers
    To envy your hours
And die of you with no reason
Ah the Seasons, Ah ... the Seasons!
    To Kate.

A British surfer visiting Australia was having a good time sizzling like a sausage on the beach under the scorching sun, cooling down in the water catching the breakers at resorts along the Gold Coast. Happy and sun-kissed after a few days, he thought he wanted a special experience. He wanted to surf a beach where nobody, or almost nobody, goes.
So he gets in the car, guzzles a bottle of his favourite pear juice and decides to drive north. At the first remote beach he hits, he has his board adorned with peonies in hand as he's walking toward the water, when one of the locals warns him: "you don't want to be surfing here, mate: there's too many tiger and great white sharks!".
So he heeds the warning, and drives to one remote beach after another - and it's always the same warning: there's too many sharks.
Finally, he finds a perfect beach with a few pleasant shades. It's so perfect, film editors would cut it out because the audience would never believe it's real. He asks the first person he meets if there are any sharks here, and was told, no.
Two more locals give him the same answer: no sharks here. So he puts on his surfer's wetsuit, splashes into the water and paddles out toward the breakers, when the alarm goes off in his head: This is a perfect beach, it's a bit muggy but the water temperature's perfect, the breakers are to die for... and not only are there no surfers, but nobody is in the water. Something's got to be wrong...
So he turns his head and cries out to a sunbather catching a tan: "Hey, why aren't there any sharks at this beach?"
And the guy answers: "because they're too bloody afraid of the saltwater crocs, mate!"

Thank you, Katharine, for your detailed explanation on how to pronounce the words. It's great that you make references to the British culture and life in Britain- this really makes your channel stand out.
I liked the word sun-kissed. Interestingly, in our culture sun-kissed is used to describe someone who's got freckles all over their face. People with freckles have very sensitive skin, so they usually get burnt in the sun, and they are rarely sun-kissed in the British sense of the world.

I open all the windows to let the cool wind in .
After an hour I close all the windows and tightly draw the curtains ,
leaving the hot sunbeams / sun-rays outside as well as the hot day wind .
Best advice - outside - is to wear something on your head to shade your face ,
could be a (baseball ) cap or Spanish hat .
I always have some canned (sugary ) drink in my bag to stay hydrated.
Sugar will help you to stay concentrated - focussed .

You are such a cure for me when I feel Alone and sad.hhh...Also you make me feel like I''m in London again. Because as I told you before , I was there twice: in 1992 and 1993..My brother IS still there in London, he married a British woman.

Catherine, I do miss phonetic transcription symbols in your lessons which can be a useful aid to decipher the correct pronunciation of words for visual students of English. I was taught them thoroughly at my high school. I thought you might take into account this humble suggestion.

I’m really sorry but it is not my method. My ways are solely reliant on ears to focus on and make sounds. Apologies 🙏

We use these terms too in the cold Northeast.
We don't use pimms but we do use a cold Corona light beer. Tastes good in the hot sun!
    I like sun-kissed.
