I went to San Diego last year and I love it . Best holiday ever as I’ve always wanted to go to the USA and what a holiday it was hot weather, everyone is nice and the accent just got to me love every min wish I could visit the USA again. From London 🙂
13:29 - I actually mispronounced it years ago at the place I was working. We had a new client from the area and I didn't match the name with the pronunciation. In a meeting with a co-worker, I called it La Jolla (almost like La Jolly but with an "a" sound at the end). lol. She cleared her throat and gave me the correct pronunciation. Funny how little incidents stick in the mind.
I lived in San Diego for three years. My favorite beach (just beyond La Jolla) was Tourmaline Surf Park where I learned to surf. This was a great informative video! Thoroughly enjoyed.
I’m so devastated that the dr.seuss tree is no longer there! What a tragedy.. You’re very blessed to have this memory of it, especially with this being filmed so close to its, fall. Really love & appreciate your videos tho! Here I come La Jolla, California!💓☀️🏝
you are the best ! thanks a lot to give us value information ! I don't speak English well but you make easy to understand I am right on the corner to travel to California and you helped me a lot thanks
Thanks for the video! I'm doing an Interior Design Project and had to choose a location for a small restaurant. La Jolla is the location I chose! I hope to one day visit this area. I'm from NJ. Again, great video!
La Jolla definitely looks like a gem! I really like the coastline especially with those sea lions! I'll have to make a stop there when I get a chance to visit San Diego!
WOW! What an awesome video! Looks like I'm going to plan a vacation to La Jolla. Without these informative, cost-saving videos from Yellow Productions, I never would've known about so many different, wonderful places to travel to.
Thanks for posting this Chris! Moved to San Diego from Laguna Niguel and this video helps to know where to go and what to look forward to. Awesome information. Thank you!
La Jolla Cove is my favorite spot in all of San Diego to take a walk and people watch. Love the pocket beaches, sunsets, and swaying palm trees. Truly the gem of San Diego.
this video is super educational and fun to watch. i chose to do a presentation about la jolla for school, since ive always loved this place, and youve helped me a lot. thank you so much dude!!
My wife casually pronounced this “La Johlah” and after laughing until I cried I pulled up this video to show her how it’s pronounced. Thank you for all your accurate La Jolla’s haha
I'm from Russia...I adore USA and Australia..I like your channel so much...hope to move out to San Diego someday...or meet ya personally..I'm biologist, I reckon it'll be fascinating for me to live in there
We hung out at Children's Pool several hours one evening and watched the sunset. It was gorgeous. It was very cool to see the seals/sea lions up close (though we kept our distance of course). La Jolla is a beautiful area! Did not know about the Dr. Seuss connection though.

@@YellowProductions Thank YOU. Also at 9:44 you say there's a Blacks Beach link in the description, but I didn't find one there nor searching the channel nor the SoCal beach playlist.
Its pup season for the Sea Lions. They were closer than ever this time. A big male Sea Lion chased all the people up the stairs near that lifeguard tower. He was NOT HAPPY. 🤣😂🤣😂 The lifeguards had to close the gate to secure the people. He stayed on the stairs for a good 5 minutes or more. asking away. There's a good gelato shop nearby and Balboa Candy has delicious taffy.
You totally forgot to include mention that UCSD's library, named after Theodore Geisel, AKA Dr. Seuss, houses original paintings, drawings, sketches, etc. HAND DRAWN versions of the Dr. Seuss characters including the Lorax, as mentioned in this video @ 2:42. Might be cool to do a video of the UCSD campus as a destination in itself! The library also inspired the final "battle" scene for the movie "Inception" CEO of GoPro attended as well.
The stairs in the shell shop do not take you to that cave they take you to a much smaller cave. and you forgot the Scripps Aquarium, and the glider port
In your opinion what are some of the best hotels there in La Jolla. I've heard of the La Jolla Cove. Anyone stayed there? We were thinking of going to La Jolla in October. Looking for a Hotel
The water is 58 degrees. And also could be a weekday when people are at work. Saturday afternoon in the summer will definitely be more packed no parking etc.
@@YellowProductions What's up my diggity dog? Lemme hit you with a great work on this video because you deserve it. BTW, I'm looking to travel to LA with a friend this summer and wanted to hit up Rodeo Drive. Do you have any recommendations on places to visit for two college freshman looking to chill out around the LA and Irvine Area my guy?
Yes, come on down to the "gem" AKA La Jolla. Where you can be part of the homeless brigade who leave human excrement for you to step into. Just a small taste of what awaits you within the boundary of San Diego. La Jolla also has it's share of beggars so you don't have to experience any loneliness. Be sure to bring lots of $$$$. High priced stores, beggars, homeless, to meet all your needs.
Smelliest or smallest? Either way... yes... La Jolla Cove is small... and smelly from the animals... Have you been to Black's beach? It's quite big and not smelly :)
What does the name La Jolla mean in English? Absolutely nothing; it's total gibberish. Up in Canada they still think it's pronounced "La Jawla," which makes me laugh. Canadians in general make me laugh.

I like Spice and Rice kitchen for Thai food
What is the deal with turning your tires into the curb? What does that accomplish? Thank you.
If your brakes fail then your car will roll in to the curb and stop instead of rolling down the hill
About to visit san diego this weekend. Where should i rent my hotel in? Mission Valley or La Jolla?
If it's the same price then La Jolla is quite nice. But Mission Valley is usually more economical and centrally located.
