Which one do you recommend going to gas lamp quarter or little Italy ? Me and my family are still deciding since were all taking a flight to San Diego tomorrow in the afternoon
Hi Andy! If you’re there with family I would go to Little Italy. It’s also nice to walk along the embarcadero and into Seaport Village. I have videos on all these places on my channel as well in case you haven’t seen those. Hope this helps!
I stayed in a old hotel there can't remember the name and it is haunted, when I was taking a shower someone yelled in my ear HEY!!!!and another time music was being played so loud it was almost deafening then it would stop very scary in the old hotels there.
It depends when you go. On weekend nights they usually have a cover charge. You can get on the guest list on their website and then the cover charge is waived. Once you're inside there is no more cover charge for the different floors. On weekdays they might have floors closed off if it's not busy. When all floors are open, I've only seen them limit access to a specific floor if it's too crowded. They essentially do crowd control. Hope this helps.
"Become very bad"? When was it better than this video portrays? It was really bad in the early 80's...no glitzy restaurants, neon lights, etc. Just thugs, boarded up windows, litter.. This video shows a vastly improved area, for what it's worth
Great video!!!
Thanks so much Raphael! Glad you enjoyed it.
Very interesting! Love all those historical buildings. Thanks for the tour!
Great, glad you enjoyed the tour! Yeah the buildings are very impressive.

The Horton Grand Hotel is known to be haunted. So maybe it was that one.
Probably just one of the Crack heads
How do you get to the underground tunnels?! So cool

I've been there for lunch. I also remember when it was The Bitter End.
Can anyone go to the rooftop of the Marriott or is that for guest only . We coming to San Diego first time for my husband birthday so im curious 👀
Yes, anyone can go to the rooftop. Nice, I'm sure you'll enjoy San Diego. 🙂
@user-rr3fo6hy9q yeah the views are amazing indeed. It’s still called Altitude.
it has become a violent, unsafe place to go. Look up the news stories. so glad i left San Diego.
The Ghettolamp. I used to work at the 7-Eleven on 4th and G, and I've seen a lot of drunks and junkies.
Good thing you didn't see it in 1983.
This area in San Diego has become very bad. Too many weirdos doing criminal activities. Definitely NOT SAFE.
