Two different ideas: living vs. visiting. Living in LJ is prohibitive unless you are quite wealthy. Visiting LJ would be part of a vacation in the greater San Diego area. You probably would want to stay in conveniently located digs -- not LJ. Mission Bay or Mission Valley would be better. The seals are centered in the Children's Pool, not the Cove. My experience says that traffic is terrible year around -- not just summer (although summer weekends... forget it.) And BTW, The Robb Report lists zip code 92037 (La Jolla) as the 91st wealthiest area in the USA -- after Del Mar and Coronado in SD county.

Las Vegas has a higher murder rate, violent crime rate and property crime rate then San Diego. Of the top 10 cities San Diego along with San Jose California have the LOWEST crime rates. You have been conned by right wing propaganda. Maga man once again gets it wrong.
Hope you didn't move to Las Vegas! Vegas has a way higher crime rate than San Diego! You are really angry because you couldn't afford California. Loser!
