I did this on a GTI back in 2015 with a saltwater car. Washed the whole car with a vinegar solution in a pressure washer. Vw used parifin wax on the internal rails. Car is still in use today. No rust issues. Not sure if this is too late but I backed the body after a through wash and the for good measure sprayed it down with two cans of WD- 40 before storing it. When I pulled it out to ready it for paint several months later it was strayed with wax and grease remover, shot in color change it was fantastic.
Really wish you guys would have listened to alot of people and Rinsed/Washed/Waxed it properly to rid it of future rust from the inside out. Down the road i bet you will see signs of rust coming through. We all understand starting out as young guys and learning as you go, but yall have been doing this years now and gotta start stepping up with doing things properly! Still you guys are fkg amazing and love watching you two, just listen and keep learning as you go to get to that super quality level we know yall can do!!!
You guys really had progressed when you started LSR your paint skills. You're tear down and rebuilding along with your brother.Your pops is incredible. You guys have come a long way very impressed.Keep up the great work doesn't look like anything can stop you
God bless you guys, you definitely are on the right path. The clean and inspirational entertainment you bring to my life is priceless. Love the new GTR color by the way. It couldn’t be better.
After the whole thing is painted since it was soaking in salt water you must cavity wax the whole thing. Someone go under someone go on top and spray every hole the more the better. Try your best to get every piece of metal sprayed behind with cavity wax To avoid water getting to the little bit of salt left behind in the inside of the frame and panels.
Love to see Vtuned collaborating with you guys once again; keep that good friendship relation as long as you can. A very good friend is sometimes as good as a family member. Amasing job, great color choice, keep it going.
Love the awesome work guys!! Also one thing I can’t emphasize enough is please spray cavity wax on the inside of those frame rails so that any salt left behind can’t rust them from the inside out if water gets in there!
