    I'd like to throw in there along with the .22 lr a .22 cal air rifle is an awesome addition for the survival aspect. While not a replacement for the .22 lr, it's super quiet, you can carry an awesome amount of ammo, and it's still plenty powerful enough for small game.

      It's so refreshing. I'm tired of hearing "Glock, Daniel Defense, Remington, Mossberg, if none of those then you're wrong." I love Glocks but the price on a Canik can't be beat for what you get, and frankly, I grew up on M&Ps and I love almost everything about them more than I do Glocks, and better yet, the few things I love more about Glocks are mostly because of aftermarket parts and not at all due to the factory making it a certain way. I've never had a jam with a Glock, M&P, Springfield, Walther, Beretta or Sig, and damnit is it refreshing to see someone not creating artificial problems that happened ONE time because one dude never bothered to remotely consider that cleaning the inch thick buildup of black goo in the chamber was a good idea.

    The AR can double as your intermediate cartridge fighting rifle and .22 hunting rifle with a conversion bolt. I'd also suggest owing at least one rifle bayonet capable, with corresponding bayonet. Firearms run out of ammo, fixed blades do not.

    WOW, Mr. Yeager, I Have Heard some people say you are Controversial and Some say You may not know what you are talking about, But as Far as I'm concerned You are Intelligent, Articulate and able to Give your Opinions and Back them them up with Good sound Reasoning and Facts.
    1st I could Not agree more about the Sidearm, Its imperative that you own, Carry and Practice with a Good Quality Handgun. For Me that is The Springfield XDM 10mm 4.5, Reasoning is that many of the places I Love to Practice Extreme Survival are LOADED WITH BLACK BEAR. I Chose this particular gun due to Magazine Capacity, Lethality of the Round and the XDM is the Best shooting Handgun I have ever owned.
    2nd I Have an S&W M&P15 , its Proven Accurate, Has a NATO round and one Most Police Department's use so there are Parts and Ammo everywhere.
    3rd I have the Thompson TCR22. I owned NOTHING But 10/22's for as Long as I can remember , But I got a Good Deal and Recommendation from a Gunsmith on this one, And without Question it is the Most Accurate. 22 Rifle I have ever Fired in my Life.
    I'm currently in the market for a Remington 700 in either .30.06 or .308
    And Lastly I have a Heritage. 22/22MAG. and if the Feces ever Hit the Fan Blades I will carry the AR15 and 10mm on Me and My wife will carry the pair of .22's. I Love your Opinions and you have Earned a Subscriber, God Bless Mr. Yeager.

    Nobody ever mentions the drop in .22LR conversions for the AR-15. They're obviously not as accurate when you start to stretch out to ~40 yards. 20 yards or less is plenty adequate. They take up little space or weight.

    • @TacticalResponseCrew
      @TacticalResponseCrew  5 років тому

      I do not recommend them.

    • @spade2you
      @spade2you 5 років тому

      @@TacticalResponseCrew Respectfully, a brief review below....
      My neighborhood range doesn't allow FMJ, which can get expensive with .223/5.56. I picked up a CMMG conversion kit. I previously had the conversion kit by Cenier, which never worked for crap.
      I have about 4,000 rounds through the CMMG. They take about 50 rounds to break in, then they run very reliably. The improved mag holds the bolt open after the last round to prevent dry firing. Inside of 40 rounds, accuracy is good enough. The zero shifts, which also happens with some suppressors. It gets the rifle as dirty as shooting with a can. Mine was a little picky with ammo. Federal wouldn't cycle reliably and had horrible accuracy. It loves Blazer, which is usually abundant.
      I broke the conversion chamber at about the 3,500 round mark. CMMG sent me a new one free of charge. This was a known weak point and they have since redesigned the chamber adapter. It looks more robust and should be able to handle at least 2x the round count.
      I'd rate it as good enough as long as I'm not needing to take out ground squirrels at 40+ yards.

    • @TacticalResponseCrew
      @TacticalResponseCrew  5 років тому

      Changes nothing.

    • @spade2you
      @spade2you 5 років тому

      Clearly there's some use, utility, or need or CMMG probably wouldn't have refined the original design. It allows to practice various AR drills on a range that doesn't allow FMJ. That can be an issue for us city slickers.
      Could also be useful if there's another ammo shortage and/or if Washington makes it more difficult to obtain/store adequate amounts. Yes, I recall a time or two when .22lr was on shortage, of all things.
      ...which reminds me, I need to buy a thousand rounds or two and your link shows me a nice deal on Fiochi. ;)

    Wouldn’t a 5.56 be a good battle rifle caliber?

    • @legaleagle123
      @legaleagle123 5 років тому

      I believe the concept of "battle rifle" is more of the intermediate to long range. A 5.56 is good for a couple hundred yards with practice [and for some further] but it loses power. A .308 or .30-06 has a bullet that is at least 3x the weight [assuming standard 147/150grain], and with some good training is easily a 300-500 yard firearm and further. No expert by any means, but I believe that is his point.

      Three. There’s the math.

    What do you think about a pellett gun? I bought 500 pellets for like 5 bucks I've been shooting it and it shoots like 900-1000 fps. The gun was about $75. Thoughts?

      @@TacticalResponseCrew ok i watched it again. You did mention the .22 Which i guess is pretty similar so that's probably my answer. I was just asking because it's an air rifle and kind of a different category than rimfire so i was curious if you thought it was a smart underated economic buy or if a pellett gun is too weak and a waste of time.

    For goodness sakes, listen to the beginning. The man is doing a "four guns video", as in, a video styled in this fashion. If you watch any other four guns videos, nearly all of them throw in a 5th, or even more, for good measure. Don't count your damn guns. Keep buying until the threat is neutralized... :-)
