This is one of the first gun channels I started watching years ago. The first time I heard him say “your responsibility to be ready for the fight, never ends” I got chills down my spine, and I was hooked on his videos. I learned so much just from watching James. We lost one of the good ones, that did good things for the gun community. Rest in heaven James.

First time I heard "Your responsibility to be ready for the fight never ends", I took it to heart. Not only do I remember it for myself, I've started to teach it (with proper credit). I'm a civilian and law enforcement instructor and I tell people to take that advice, think about it while we're training, then give me their interpretation. Then I give mine.

I remember in an old video James mentioned that a .40 does not hit harder than the 9mm ENOUGH to be worth the loss in rounds and gain in recoil. That’s cleared it all up for me.

My EDC is a 380. But I do own a 40 that is a 15+1. Plenty of rounds. It's the caliber my family sticks ammo for so I followed suit.

    • @Dunkleosteusenjoyer

@Blake You will always be better at doing the slightly easier thing because it's the exact same skill. If you train to be better at .40 you have become better with 9mm which is almost identical but has more ammo in it and cost less to train with.

Well, UA-cam did it again, deciding to bring me here. Weirdly relevant, though; I'm a some-time, two-gun carrier. I justify the second carry by the terrain I'll be traveling, and the sort of natives I'll likely encounter. Believe it or not, it is relatively easy to carry a .45 and a 9mm together - concealed. Normally, my EDC is a deep-concealed IWB 9mm; however, some days, I like to carry the .45, also IWB - but occasionally, OWB - which is still under cover, like a shirt or jacket, but much more accessible than an IWB. I'm not a fan of complete open carry, 'cause I'm not too fond of being targeted with unwanted attention. I learned every one of these rules many, many years ago - and they are still relevant.

Ballistics matter. Honestly speaking the bullet development is more important than the caliber... He's obviously a gun enthusiast but I prefer specific stats/research that's verifiable over putting someone down verbally (stupid). Lastly nothing beats Shot placement...

Papa D you should definitely go check out lightning bolt ranch for their .380 force on force class. Clump Jones shreds it. Best to carry 3 guns. One chambered in .40, one in 357 Sig and one in .380. 👊🏼👊🏿👊👊🏽👊🏾👊🏻😷😷😷😷😷😷

My philosophy: if you’re stealing my stuff you can have it, i own nothing worth a life no matter how low a scum they are. If you enter my home and depending on the circumstances, if you turn around and leave you just have to worry about the cops. If I see a robbery in progress, i hide and call, not my job to stop a robbery unless human life is in danger, mainly me and mine but others as well. If I see someone being assaulted I will give the creep some options, nuff said. A school teacher in my hometown in Montana was murdered a few years ago. Our first murder in many years. It was committed by two dirtbags from Colorado up here to score drugs for the oil boom workers. After they were caught we found out that the assault and kidnapping occurred on a road I had driven that very morning and I probably missed this attack by just a few minutes before or after. I wish my timing had been better.

I wish more people were like you. I know people have a right to protect their property but have some understanding and mercy, if you se someone burglarizing you’re vehicle stealing stuff or if someone’s (unarmed) breaks into your house or you catch him walking away with something, by all means point the gun at him and let him know what’s up, but come one, don’t kill someone over stealing something from you no matter who he is. That is a life, at the end of the day it really could be he’s going through hard times and he’s hungry. It’s not always drugs or alcohol. Now if your family is in danger by all means empty the whole magazine I could care less.
Just saying, just because you can legally, does not mean you should.

🤡 The “moral” thing is to work hard for what you’ve got. If someone wants to victimize me or mine IN MY HOME I’m sending them into the afterlife. I’ll sleep better for it.

Camping in Alaska we carry a 2.5” Ruger Super Redhawk in .480 Ruger. If a griz visits your tent they work pretty well. We don’t use them for CC though. They’re just for real close bear encounters. Handy bird hunting in Montana as well.

OK well here goes my two cents of useless information. Lol.
I’ll keep it to two cals. 9mm/40s&w
It’s my opinion that the argument that you can only have one caliber is kinda negated these days because of the great advancements in the manufacturing end of things.
I learned this when I decided I wanted to Nantes to make my own bullets. I learned what most know that you can crank up a normally docile 115 gr. fmj to a BAD ASS ! KILLIN TRASH 124 gr. Peace maker.
Conversely you can take a high pressure round like the180 grn. 40 S&W and dial back the weight to anywhere from 165 down to 135 grain. With very nice handling.
I found I prefer the 165 , s but CORBON POWER BALL makes a 135 that was just so light it was silly. Really just felt like it was a 9 mm !
Anyway that’s all I have thanks for making this video Mr Yeager always interesting if not controversial. Lol. See ya man.

Michael John Less rounds. Bulkier. No significant terminal improvements. .40 is not worth it, and this is coming from someone who has to carry .40 for work. I’d rather have more 9mm than a separate stash of .40

In New Mexico we can only conceal carry 1 gun. It’s illegal to have two, but we are a backass state so it makes sense.
