I've been a Mellancamp fan for 50 yrs and he is considered the most important roots rocker of a generation. Loved your reaction and there's a lot more Mellancamp to explore.
I love this one from John Mellencamp, it’s got country vibes with the fiddle, banjo and dobro. John is a local boy, from Seymour, Indiana about 50 miles north of us in Louisville!
My favorite from John because it wasn’t ruined by being played to death on the radio. He sounds a bit like Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits, not a bad thing. Loved your reaction Tasha.
Tasha, loved your reaction and your analogy of this song lyrics. This is one of my favorite Mellencamp songs and videos. John is totally against racism as am I. I love the diversity in his band and in his video. The song sends out a great message. Congratulations on your channel and much success to you!❤
I had a couple dreams go up in smoke when I was a kid. I was in little league baseball, and I dreamed of being a pro with the Milwaukee Brewers. But, I got messed up with the wrong crowd, and missed a lot of games. They had a little league all star game and I was voted in! But they wouldn't let me play because I missed too many games. Then in my teens I started playing drums in a band and dreamed of being a rock star! We got hooked up with a "manager" and got the opportunity to record in a studio in Chicago! But that was a flop, and the owner of the studio was a severe alcoholic and had to go into rehab. 2 dreams...poof! Paper in Fire! Lol!
John Mellencamp - Paper in fire. (Number 9 Billboard 1987) For me one of Top 5 songs 1987. 🎸 Another Top songs from 1987. You needs reacts to is (Madonna - La Isla Bonita. 👍 and (Ferry Aid - Let it be 1987). Amazing version of Beatles - Let it be. 👍
Great tune. John and his band are super talented musicians. Always liked watching this video because of the fiddle player and the two back up singers. Nice looking ladies Imo
