I saw the Steve Miller Band in 2019. Fantastic performance! After all these years, they still have it. I first heard them in 1976. I'd recommend the albums Book of Dreams or Fly Like An Eagle. Or both. On one of the albums there are two songs which should go together- Electrolux Imbroglio/ They have such a diverse collection of songs, ranging from blues, to psychedelic, a little bit of country, rock 'n roll, psychedelic-blues-rock. Who knows, they might even have a jazzy song. I don't know.

Such a timeless song

this song is undoubtedly Loverboy's greatest musical achievement, and the ironic part is that the members have said the song as you hear it was never truly finished, and that what you're hearing is basically a "shined up" demo that they had for the album (Get Lucky) that they just decided to sort of give up on and just include it on the album as is/was. The other thing is that a lot of people run their mouth about the 80's all the time, well - as a musician who attended and graduated from Musicians Institute I can tell you that (generally speaking) the musicians in the 80's were FAR more talented than the musicians from the GRUNGE era 90's. I can't imagine a Grunge band trying to cover this song, let alone coming up with it in the first place. If you listen to all the moving parts of this song, and how layered it is, then add in Reno's thunderous vocals and Dean's impeccable guitar playing, not to mention the synths and a great drummer in Matt Frenette, you start to realize that (in comparison to songs and bands like this) the 90's scene was where musicianship essentially DIED in rock. I should know , I remember very well living through the 80's and then watching what happened in the 90's. It was as if the 90's Grunge bands were proud of the fact that they weren't technically all that talented, or like they were openly proud of the fact that they basically all sounded like garage bands/musicians. Sorry, but In my book that's nothing to be proud of. This song is 80's through and through, and it's F'ING BRILLIANT.

😍Omgggggggg ! Loverboy !😍 The person wearing the red leather pants on the Get Lucky album image was (at the time) a 13-year-old GIRL named Tymara Kennedy. She is the daughter of the photographer commissioned to create the album cover. It's a long weird story about a small pair of leather pants purchased for the photo , but nobody could fit into them except for one teenage girl(and she tried them on just for curiosity). Then the guys hand with crossed fingers was added to the image. Wild and weird , I researched this knowlege about 15yrs ago because I lost a high stakes trivia match because of this goofy album cover !...Loverboy Get Lucky Wiki can fill you in on more detail if interested Anyways .. I was glad to hear your take on this. This song hit me so deep when I first heard it a few weeks ago. It shines a different light on many of our experiences as young girls and women. We are not just shamed when we report abuse. We are shamed for identifying or empathizing with this song, for our genuine concern for our own safety, for answering honestly if we'd choose the bear. Like many, I continue deprogramming from this nonsense, but I know that I don't deserve to feel shame for any of the above. Those who have a problem with this song ARE part of the problem.
