I have a sister who is INTJ in fact. Now could it be said possibly, that he is actively doing things to feel more while we INFJs are actively doing things to try to feel less?? Yeah basically like you further addressed near the end with you wanting to bring in more logic to your world for more balance. I know am trying to learn ways to feel less and be more logical. Great video.
@@ambrosearts it’s the exact same way for me, my best friend is an intj and we have been best friend for 9 years and our relationship it’s basically perfect… don’t know how to explain it
INTJ are very smart. I have an ex however we recently reconnected. I realized she only dates men who are abusive. I wasnt abusive so we ended early. Talking to her 5 years later we talk and shes still talking about dating a NEW abusive guy. I told her as victims of abuse we can either uplift abusers or not and to chose a side. She deems to repeat the same things over and over. I am starting to believe she cant be INTJ because no Intj can have this stupidly low NI. Its honestly suprising. Anyway that was my rant. Stay safe and warm and happy.
I think that if caring people (whether family, friends or romantic) want to connect and get along, most of the time it can be done. But knowing these cognitive functions and how they work can help a great deal. (I appreciate your sharing how well this is worked with your brother - it's a good example). It does take some effort and a willingness to think outside of our own functions, but the effort is worth it.
My mother is an INTJ and I so lucky to have her as my mother, she is so supportive and she understands me so much and I connect with her a lot. And I agree with what you said about us noticing their Fi and them seeing our Ti, that's so true😇🌈❤️
I noticed that the INTJ in my life has picked up a couple of things from me. She now uses a toothbrush cover, and puts plastic wrap over the top of her soda cans. I do that w/ my cans, because I don't want to attract ants into our house. Anyhow, I think it's interesting that she does this. Being around her, I think it helped me develop stronger boundaries. As for Fi, she definitely likes to help people, but doesn't go out of the way to do it. She's a massage therapist and has 2 INFJ friends from the school she went to. For me, it's interesting to have another Ni dom in my life, even if she filters her Ni perspectives through Te-Fi.
As an INTJ, I would have to say that it is the Fi (as a child function) is usually developed before the Te function. It is just not apparent to most people because it is an introverted function. However, if you were to ask most mature INTJs, they will tell you that they are painfully aware of how they feel about their core values as well as issues even if they don't 'generally' understand how others may feel. But with that stated, it is possible for INTJs to emulate some resemblance of Fe by having a collection of experiences attributed to Fi if that makes sense. Speaking for myself, I rely on the Te function to make sense of other people's thinking for the mere fact that I can more readily understand people's thinking as well as their motivations for thinking a certain way when it comes to a situation. Could I use Fi? Yes. However, Fi is pretty subjective because everyone does not have the same emotional response to situations, let alone the same moral compass. For me, this was an issue as a younger INTJ. The cognitive function Te is far more objective and allows one to think outside of one's self. As for Ni/Se, I definitely see how both INFJs and INTJs can connect given that attribute (there's a theory that both functions are on a cognitive axis). I think both types usually have an objective or vision and strive to bring it into the Se realm, or reality. The only difference is that INFJs are more affiliative and INTJs are more systematic.
Although i know my profile (INFJ) now for 22 years… i have no clue what this Se or Fi or… these additional letters and ‘functions’ mean. Where did you learn that? I hear Wenzes mention these additional letters too. I ‘m missing something here… 😊
I really found this video interesting. I took the MBTI and don't know where to start with socionics but this series is eye-opening. I'm 19 & I think age does play a crucial factor in how we interact with the world. Identifying as an INFJ, I've been able to learn more about myself but that's because this style just seems to suit me. But if I had the opportunity I think I would become an INTJ without a doubt. The idea of tuning into the senses in order to seek energy from the world is really fascinating. Growing up I never had the chance to actually "be myself" and if I were to remove all of the variables that restricted me; I would be a completely different person.
I try to be as considerate as I can in the experience I provide to people around me, above all those who I care about the most. That’s why I get so frustrated and could even feel hurt when I am perceived as insensitive, cold and overly systematic. I used to think I was an INFJ, I guess aside the obvious two functions the two types share. And that’s why your approach on video about the door-slam resonated so much with me yesterday. Thank you.
Loved this so much! Really helps me! This is me (infj) and my boyfriend (intj) out for a night with friends: I'm emoting and getting good vibes from everyone but really I am thinking about everything as a system of logical inputs and outputs. While my boyfriend is happily talking about pizza ratios and cost effectiveness with our friends, looks around, realizes that maybe this wasn't the best topic to continue talking about for 5 minutes, and thinking how do I get everyone laughing again so that we are enjoying ourselves? I might have ruined him socially though, I really like listening to him talk about pizza ratios lol. Unfortunately he doesn't like me talking about other people's feelings. He thinks I'm making it up, like how do you know they feel like that... well because it says so on their face. Got in a big argument over the last star wars movie because of it. He believes the girl is a hardcore villain, I think she had to do it to protect the people she loves the most. At least that is what I saw in her face. He thought that i just wanted to contradict him because that was obviously not the case. (I think he felt a connection to the character, or his idea of who she was, but then again maybe I did too?) Lol sorry for the long post.
just as a note: The INTJ will eventually pick up on the behavioral patterns on people to talk to you about it, but just don`t push it too much, after a few minutes it sounds like gossip to the INTJ and will shut down.
Thanks for your video , I'm.a intJ . it's funny one of my favorite movies is the 5th element. I just recently discovered the personality types. Now I have a new playtoy to explore and research. I think it will help to learn more and gain al better understanding of other people.
What's that mysterious ticking noise ... :) I don't have much experience with INTJs. Female INTJs have some mystery about them that attracts me. "Internally, they're emotional beings", that was interesting point about INTJs creating atmosphere for them.
Hi Wenzes, ‘logical people want to go more into their emotional side’. True for me, I’m a Ti-rational but Fe seeking. Positive and loving Fe is very energizing to me. :) Wondering now what Se-Fe movie would be a good example...
Not sure if I can sit out a Fe-dom movie... lol That would probably be a musical. I liked the Transporter (all three of them): plenty of Se action, Ti gadgets and thinking and tertiary Fe (Jason Statham takes good care of the girl). An INFJ movie would probably be in the middle. Any suggestions?
I personally need more softness / love though than I’ve found with intjs. They do work as a good friend that I can help out with more social skills 😹and they can help me explore ni more. I may be biased as I had a long friendship with an intj and they just ghosted me because they were in love with me and couldn’t trust be friends, then bounced back then ghosted me again. For the time we were friends I did feel an intimacy in relating that I haven’t gotten with others mbti. However I tend more towards Isfjs for romantic involvement, or someone more comfortable in their senses
Thanks guys for watching! Share your experiences so we can all help each other!
