I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume we ain't living this one- I'm 3 minutes in, and our character has a death card, a ticket for the Hindenburg, and we're playing a game called TITANIC- That's more death flags in the first 3 minutes than a character from Disc World literally having the Reaper show up and go "Can we wrap this up before lunch?"
Has a kid the way they moved creeped me out but still think it's an interesting game thanks for playing it minx and kwism, you're both super nom 😅 . Kwism will never forget done 😂😂
Apparently it was indeed made with bad steel. "A microstructural analysis of the Titanic steel also showed the plausibility of brittle fracture of the hull steel. The test showed high levels of both oxygen and sulphur, which implies that the steel was semi-kilned low carbon steel, made using the open-hearth process. High oxygen content leads to an increased ductile-to-brittle transition temperature, which was determined as 25 to 35°C for the Titanic steel. Most modern steels would need to be chilled below -60°C before they exhibited similar behavior. High sulphur content increases the brittleness of steel by disrupting the grain structure The sulphur combines with magnesium in the steel to form stringers of magnesium sulphide, which act as "highways" for crack propagation. Although most of the steel used for shipbuilding in the early 1900s had a relatively high sulphur content, the Titanic's steel was high even for the times [Hill, 1996]."
There's something about this particular time period and this style of talking head graphics for character interactions. The first fallout, jagged alliance, mission critical. To name a few
The way the characters were animated during the conversations is really impressive Edit: Yes, Krism was right, Titanic really did break in half. I thought it was just in the movie, but that actually happened.
1:33:00 Minx-moo having a hissy fit. Reminds of the time, you guys wasted tons of energy obtaining the rocket launcher in the playthrough, The Ring: Terror's Realm, and realizing you can't even use the damn thing for the final boss. x)
I think that this may be one of my favorite Titanic-focused games. The story was actually really intriguing and despite the frustrations at times, it looked nom!
don't forget that alot of older games can't handle being ran at high fps on modern pc's. sometimes they need to be capped at a certain fps. Otherwise, the game will chuck a fit. Maybe that's why the movement and the fencing part seem like they are sped up🤔 regardless, though keep up the good work 👍
Comment for the old days, using Lightwave, or maybe even 3DStudio, to create those gripping cutscenes. Engagement is zooming about like your bum is on fire, and only the cold waters of the northern Atlantic will cool the bum properly.
hey, there this old game that took place on the orient express that had a time limit like this. had to do with murder and spying and intrigue as well. if I remember correctly it was animated. perhaps you could find it and play it?
I feel like I've seen this game before, but I know for a fact I never played it. IMO, cruise ships are overrated. There's too many negatives for me to consider blowing that much money. IIRC, about 1500 people did die on the Titanic, and the headline in your ending said about 1250 sank with it. Although, you are correct that, if WWI hadn't taken place, literal millions of people would have lived, especially since the Treaty of Versailles basically guaranteed WWII would happen, as it went hard on the Germans (and poverty and anger rarely turn to positive outcomes). So, yeah, this end meant no WWI (no trench warfare or need for a Geneva convention), no WWII (no Holocaust) , no Soviet Union (no gulags, Holodomor, Chernobyl, or KGB). Unsure if it'd meant the atrocities in Asia as a result of Imperialist Japan would've still happened, though.
yeah same with me too. also have had random strangers tell me of random weird stuff they have done. so sometimes people be weird. or strangers have asked me for medical advice, which is... idk why. sometimes i wonder, do i look like a cop/dr/therapist?
Old games be breaking fourth walls with their tutorials like it's an episode of Loony Tunes
lol

That was a hell of ending. Didn't even know this existed.
Id heard of it but never played it!
Minx going through the controls tutorial? Bless the almighty!!
Always!
Ooooo this is how I'm spending my evening
Thats awesome
Those accents are *amazing*!
lol
Minx... just saved the world from WWI & WWII WTF
I DID
Has a kid the way they moved creeped me out but still think it's an interesting game thanks for playing it minx and kwism, you're both super nom 😅 . Kwism will never forget done 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Welp. If you guys sink then you can crash on my couch for a couple days. I'm sure Gary wouldn't mind.
So nom!
At least this game doesn’t make you run the length of the ship a million times, Rule of Rose-style
That is true
God I remember owning this game in the 90's! I didn't get that far into it but was always impressed!
It was a lot of fun
One of the wild things about the titanic size, is that it’s actually pretty small when compared to some modern day cruise ships
Thats pretty crazy
Been waiting for this one for a while! 😀
Janky old adventure games are such a treat. 🥰
Hope you enjoyed it!

Thats really interesting
TLDR they used steel that would’ve been fine south of the Arctic (but still not great imo) but absolutely shit in below freezing temperatures
@@ladygrey4113 Makes me think that even a much smaller iceberg could have taken them out too.
@@Silverizael I haven’t read up on the titanic’s hull since college but it wouldn’t shock me if that was true
Very fun 😊
Thank you 🤗

Its a little creepy
Oh this craze gem of an old adventure game.
So nom
I could use an adventure. It's hard being an endangered snack cake.
Don't worry. I heard a rumor that a chosen one is coming to save us. ❤
Thats such a tragic exsistence
I was very lost playing this game as a kid. but I was also in love because its the titanic.
A walkthrough is required to do almost anything here
I will NEVER forget Krism's "doan" moment. That's peak Krinx right there.
The way the characters were animated during the conversations is really impressive
Edit: Yes, Krism was right, Titanic really did break in half. I thought it was just in the movie, but that actually happened.

I always do!
My new job no longer allows me to be in the first few minutes club................. But hopefully it will let me upgrade to the PATREON CLUB!!!!!🤩
SO NOM!
Own this game but have yet to play it I am sure I will get to it eventually
Its worth a play
I think that this may be one of my favorite Titanic-focused games. The story was actually really intriguing and despite the frustrations at times, it looked nom!
The Titanic game was fun to watch with Minx & Krism. Thank you for this playthrough.
My dad used to play this game all the time!
Its a classic
I don't know why but I found that tutorial kind of charming! Must have been the guy's amazing eyebrow.
It was!
That opening is burned into my memory because I played it so much. I never finished the game as a child because I was far too smooth brain.
Its incredibly complicated
Thanks again so much for playing this, glad it didn't make you rage too much haha.
I've really been enjoying watching all these older games you've been playing on the channel recently. This game is older than I am, crazy to imagine 😳
i really love old adventure games like this lol theyre something special
This is so charming in such a janky way, I love it.
Always a good time revisiting old games. Honestly surprised how well this one holds up.
That boiler puzzle is insane
You didn't have to be rich to be on the titanic, the poor were down below and had a different menu.
And died horribly
There is moe Archer? I stopped a bit after Aberjean was born as well...
I didnt even know that happened
Ty for making content Mama
A classic.
💙
2:00:05 for anyone who wants to replay this line
I liked this one
Glad you liked
Wow! I'm amazed you read the whole briefing--good stuff, though most folks would stop short cuz of the length.😂
Yay sponsor
So nom
Huh. Minx and Krism just stopped Cthulhu from causing WW1.
I wonder if this game came out around the time of the movie Titanic? The cgi opening of the cruise ship looks good.

Not a game for me but I liked your commentary.
hey, there this old game that took place on the orient express that had a time limit like this. had to do with murder and spying and intrigue as well. if I remember correctly it was animated. perhaps you could find it and play it?
Yeah, The Last Express. I considered also getting that for a custom playthrough, but even with a walkthrough it seems pretty difficult.
Some of the characters you interact with almost looks fmv, but with some pixel images animated? Classic.
I feel like I've seen this game before, but I know for a fact I never played it.

idk random men have trauma dumped to me before irl, so that seems accurate lol
