BISON CHARGES SNOWMOBILERS IN YELLOWSTONE: Video Credit: Eric P Thank you for sending us this video of bison charging snowmobilers in Yellowstone National Park.
It is an exaggeration to say that he attacked, but he certainly did bluff a whole bunch of times. A warning! These people were very lucky. They should have all turned around and gone the other way. Stressing the animal.
@@marcialussier2467 I didn't mean playing around literally.....I meant had he been serious and intentional he would've killed them. Thanks for your comment tho
I love how it looked away before the second pair of riders made past him, acting like "I don't see you" then waited till they moved away from and started "chasing" them.
He realizes he's outnumbered? He weighs 2,000 lb. Where do you people get these ideas that these animals think this way? And a little scared? They were upsetting this animal. You are not supposed to stress wild animals. They should have all turned around and gone the other way for a little while.
lol, yeah. Oh man. I can tell you first hand that these animals are so much bigger when youre sitting alone on your snowmobile! I encountered a similar situation in Yellowstone years ago. At a distance and from a vehicle, Buffalo may not seem so big but when you are alone and seated on a machine 30 inches above the ground, believe me, you get a whole new respect! 😄 This guy was annoyed by them but if he were truly charging, there would have been serious injury’s.
May not seem so big? 2000 lb? Yeah, they seem big. The problem is people think that they're big and lumbering and clumsy. They're not. They are very agile. And they can get up to 35 mph in no time.
So here I was, minding my own business, when this biker gang drove up to me and revved their engines. But I stood my ground and managed to chase them off. Go after the cocky ones first, the rest will scatter.
Actually the bison was kind enough to control vehicle traffic; it is a voluntary work in such a cold winter. It wasn't really serious of attacking the passersby. It was just stirring excitement. It's a way to greet, "Merry Christmas!" 😃
That’s not attacking, that’s playful, he running along them, was jumping around and stopping short, he could have got those riders they’re much faster sprinters than he was showing and pulled off the riders at the end.
@@LESLASLESLAS - your comment is quite accurate. I lost a very dear friend on a motorcycle when I was a teen. She flew off and skidded 50’ on her face. She died, without any face left. I cannot get passed that. That’s why I don’t like motorcycles.
@@mchapman132 sucks about your friend. But it seems silly to hate motorcycles because of it. It wasn’t the motorcycles fault. Sounds like a lack of proper gear and inexperienced riding. Maybe you should seek therapy instead of looking for it in UA-cam comment sections.
I'm an expert on neither Bison, or snowmobiles. But I really do know that you don't just stop when one looks like it's going to charge you from 6ft away.
Bison wants to go for a ride! Seriously though, saw this in the parks: people - including tour companies and rangers in winter - ignoring the rules of distance.
That is a male bison defending his territory. The snowmobiles are simply agitating the bison to the point of defense. He feels empowered and scared because there’s a bunch of 2 strokes revving and creating noise in his happy place. There-for he feels threatened and like he has to defend his territory just like he did almost 200 years ago when horses were the death sound to most bison and Buffalo. They evolve to sounds and machinery just like we do, silly humans; I’m part bison, and can translate.
It's sad to see the bison's home filled with impatient humans who are willing to put themselves (and the animal) in harms way all to get somewhere 2 minutes sooner. A bison/human impact would have ruined everyone's day and probably much longer than that.
The Bison was like an NBA player. All tough when the snowmobiles were past him. Charging into an empty area. But once a snowmobile was directly in it's path, it backed off and couldn't figure out what to do.
Wow. So you know how wild bison think huh? Where the heck are you coming up with this? Clearly, your imagination.. My son was a ranger in Yellowstone and he saw a bison flick a motorcycle in the air with just a small twist of his head. He knows exactly what he's doing and why and when. They were just plain lucky. He was warning them. And they were stressing him and they should have turned around and gone the other way
The bison is in cahoots with the rangers. If you goose your throttle over 35 for ANY reason, ticket. Either take the speeding ticket or take one for harassing wildlife.
2022 - end of May up to nearly the end of June - 3 people gored by bison in Yellowstone Park in less than 30 days. Respect the beasts. Don’t be an idiot!
He didn't look like he was trying very hard.
That bison has a great sense of humour 😂
Click bait, for all those that didn't grow up in the mountains. He's just flexing there was no attack. He just wants to be left alone
Exactly, People are everywhere with their noisy cars, snowmobilers, airplanes, motorbikes etc.
Bet they still shit their pants lol! And the fancy snow mobiles
It is an exaggeration to say that he attacked, but he certainly did bluff a whole bunch of times. A warning! These people were very lucky. They should have all turned around and gone the other way. Stressing the animal.

"Look at the wittle bison wagging his wittle tail...you're a cute wittle bison yes you are yes you are"

"you shall not pass... damn those things are fast"
He does not attack, just fooling around.
true he was just having fun with them !
Yes, he was letting them know that he needed a hug.
You're the type of person who dies at Yellow Stone for wanting to pet the 1 ton fluffy cows 🐮

Famous last words.
Bison: let’s play
Human: The deadly threat of bison
When their tail is raised they ain’t playin. It would be my guess he was a youngster. An older seasoned bull would have has snowmobile for lunch
Legend has it they're still waiting to cross
Should be “Curious Bison approaches snowmobilers “. No attack here
Chases... but yeah, no actual attacks.
He’s just asking for some snacks.
Poor baby!!! I love him
That was him wanting to play and have fun! So cute.
🤣

That buff used a lot of precious energy.
C'mon Man... he's just doing "Buffalo Stuff"!
That's a bison's way of hitchhiking.
He's asking them if they've seen his baseball...

He is very smart he tell them i won't touch you just get out of here
Nowhere near fast enough. You guys are lucky that the unpacked snow is slowing this wild untamed bison down.

Bison are NOT playful. You may want to read up on them before making such an idiotic statement.
@@cathyvanasse4886 The Bovinae family are very playful creates. Most in the wild are mean and aggressive to humans, that one wasn’t.

What attack? It’s a Bison playing tag
I don't blame the bison, there are times I have wanted to do the same. LOL
