Late Jimmy wrote this song, former drummer of avenged sevenfold the backbone of the band,he tested himself the limitation of song writing skill how much he can be able to create a deferent type of music genre at one time so he put together all the genre in this particular song.miss you rev.
If you pay attention to the lyrics, her rejecting him was in his head, so he acted. "Before the possibilities came true, I took all possibility from you." And this is what happens when the rev was given full creative control. May he rest in peace.
The way I always perceived the song was that it was about how even if a couple goes through a hard time, they can still work it out. It could become very toxic, where the couple are metaphorically ripping each other’s heart out and screwing each other over. But if there is a real love there they can come back from it. Forgive and forget and move on into a stronger relationship. For example, my parents went through a couple of years in their marriage where they were very toxic toward each other. But they finally showed some humility and apologized for everything they did to each other and moved into a new chapter of their relationship, and that relationship became stronger than ever. The main thing that almost proves this is the correct interpretation is the line in the song “And a word to the wise, when the fire dies, you think it’s over but it’s just begun…”. Add that to the overall narrative of the two killing each other and then forgiving each other and living happily ever after, and that is why I think that is the way this song was meant to be interpreted.
I purposely search for reaction videos to this song for entertainment. This is probably in the top 3, if not the best reaction to this song I have seen. Thank you
You really need to watch the making of little piece of heaven documentary. It will really give you some insight into this song and how it came about. Will also showcase these guy's song writing, music and production talent.
You should do a reaction to the making of this song, Jimmy 'The Rev' created this masterpiece, and they used an orchestra and a choir, really big process, but The Rev had a vision and well here it is, R.I.P The Rev ❤️👌👍🤘
the song is incredible and morbid in all the right ways and is almost like an anti love song because if you look into the lyrics and learn what they truly mean, the narrator and lyrics are basically saying that the relationship is better dead than alive but also put into a physical representation of that "better" version of the relationship
The carnival sound came from the band members from oingo boingo which is Danny Elfman's band, which is the dude who wrote a good portion of the music for Tim Burton's movies.
Jimmy's masterpiece before he passed! This will always remind me of their shows at chain reaction in Anaheim OC. Waaayyy before they broke through to the mainstream, which i totally respect, i remember seeing them before they even released sounding the seventh trumpet!
My son was only 5 when he first watched this music video. He absolutely loved it and even showed it to his grandfather 🤣 wasn't that popular with his grandfather. We are from Norway so lucky my kid didn't understand the lyrics 😅
Watch the making of this song… it’s amazing and you can see things that you never knew was going on!! The making the AMAZING!!! Please please please watch it…the drummer wrote it before he passed!! Love you Rev!!!
I highly recommend watching on youtube the video making of a little piece of heaven, its almost 30 minutes or so but its so entertaining and you see the genius of it, and some really hilarious parts too
You guys should watch the making of this particular song, the “behind the scenes”. The band explains how everything came to be musically and lyrically.
You guys got to do a reaction to how they came about the song and made it with all the producers and everybody in the group and the people doing the instruments that you were talking about. The drummer had like this Epiphany and decided to go up into the cabin that they all are part of our own together something along those lines and came back and they finish the song with the instruments and everything else. But it's the making of A Little piece of heaven by avenged sevenfold it's amazing what you seen what they did to put this together.
When this Album/song came out my now late wife and I were obsessed with these guys.. We were lucky to see the original band once.. the video for making of this song is great!
About this song: the song was done by late Drummer of the band "The Rev", where the initial concept of this song was to do an Hallowen EP with a couple of other songs. But when the label heard the music, they liked so much that they convinced the band to scrap the EP and put the song alltogether on the coming 4th album. Also fun fact, the start of the song is not about a rejection of proposal. The start was the male imagination thinking that his GF would reject her if he proposed to her; so in fear of rejection, he decided the kill her. The homicide was because of fear of rejection, not for obsesion. That's why in the final they reconcile, because the guy was regretfull about his action and the GF understanded him.
Ok. I absolutely love reactions to this song! It´s so funny, if I see all of shocking faces 🤣🤣🤣 It´s just perfect😆 Much love from Czech Republic🖤 EAT THAT! 😂🤪
When you listen closely to the lyrics, he never actually proposed. His nerves got the better of him. "Before the possibilities came true" In his head he saw it and went insane. This is why she came back and in the end they had an undead marriage. She would have said yes.
The funny thing is, is that if you listen to the lyrics, she never said no he took the choice away from her by killing her before she could say no or yes
I've watched you guys reaction a dozen times now lol everytime I watch that but where you guys are like with that intro how bad could it possibly be? I laugh so hard I'm like buckle up guys lol
The funnier part is when the priest shows the middle finger, and they censor it. That's after showing murder, cannibalism and necrophilia. A clever touch, haha.
I cant believe youre a metal band and you havent heard this. This is like a super classic. I have like a hundred friends who dont listent to metal who know this by heart. xD Its just that uniqe, odd and just grotesque enough to catch everyones attention. Kinda like the whole "watching a train crash" idea. Its horrific but you cant look away. Its also a friggin masterpeice from a musical perspective, very vell composed.
"How bad could it be?" Famous last words 😂

It was styled in the other band that Syn and himself were in at the time. Pinkly Smooth was the name if I remember.
@@CliffArmijo You are correct
@@nightrunning5870 I remember watching their documentary on the making of their self titled album when I was a kid and they mentioned it.
The heater showing up with the chorus line is my favorite part of this video, always makes me chuckle.
Yes! That and the "bye bye" skeleton 🤣🤣
The "bye, bye" part alwasys gets me
Has any reactor specifically mentioned or talked about the "that's why I got a heater for her thighs" line?
@@primemover1416 Probably
@@primemover1416 iam not native english can u please explain the meaning behind the lines" Thats why i got a heater for her thighs"?
The Rev's singing on this track was always my favorite of his backup vocals. An amazing artist gone too soon

My entire family not native language english speakers lintening to the song without watching the video: "Such a happy song, just lovely" xD
I'm so glad I pre-warned Travis about the content of the video. And amused that he never let on to Suzi about the dark, dark nature of the video!
Miss u Jimmy ♥️ miss your voice 🥺♥️
Last time i saw them live, they played this, and its amazing to hear in a live setting
