@@ScoRpIO725 the issue with these killer is they are harder to buff without making them ridiculous, especially for freddy since any time freddy has been half decent he had like 90% kill rate at lower mmrs, billy is a highly technical killer, with the change you need don't need to be that good at him to be decent but you need to be very good to actually become extremely oppressive, killers with low skill ceiling are hard to make both strong and fun

@@Weskin_Time775 Because easier-to-play killers with low skill ceilings and less to learn and master don't need to be as powerful as the challenging ones. Otherwise mastering the challenging killers wouldn't feel as rewarding. Doesn't mean easier killers should be outright bad, but it's ok if a good Billy is visibly stronger than a good Freddy.

Honestly u played mad impressive and I mean every good dbd player can tell that you clearly had the upper hand in the first game, you could've camped close to the slug and the hook but u decided to go for more chase interaction and curves to really showcase how the buffed Billy looks and feels in experienced hands. And I think that's very respectable and was the genuinely one of the most fun comp like games I've seen in a long time ❤

@@wubzt3r thats how it goes in regular dbd, because you dont know who you are facing, you dont know if they are on comms, you dont know if they are going to effectively work together to win or if 2 players want to play immersive.
here he knows they are out for the win, they are highly effective and on comms, he knows they arent dicking around with leons flashbang perk or the rock of destiny

@@Echs_D33counter play is something that both the killer and survivor can work around. crouching under a chainsaw or demos lunge isn’t counter play because the killer can’t do anything to read that and make a different play. take spirit for example, she can phase and be invisible to the survivor but they can hear where she is, the killer can use that information and bait out things while in phase showing that both sides can do something mind trick each other. but when ur using ur chainsaw and trying to curve into a hit just to miss because of a crouch? makes no sense.

That's not a shadow buff that's just a straight buff. A shadow buff would be like if BHVR reduced collision for trees and things on ALL maps, thus buffing billy's ability to curve around them. SMH, come on.

Just like killers that have bugs that are good for them, like stop being so killer pilled and thinking just survivors use bugs to win, i am a blight main and i love hug tecching, but its a bug that makes the game more fun
Crouch tech is hard to pull off and doesn't always work. And it's not the only bug that is in use. Hug tech is a bug. Skinny bert is a bug. Oni flicks are a bug. Bugs don't necessarily mean that it's bad for the game, if you fixed every bug a lot of killers would lose their techs. Besides, it's either crouch tech or prethrow, those are the billy counters.
Crouch tech shouldnt be the only valid counter to a killer. Literally so many chainsaw hits were lost to a simple ctrl button its dumb

I'm sorry, i don´t wanna to offend anyone, but I can't believe these guys are trying to win the match (hillbilly and the survivor team), looks like they are playing blindfolded and drunk while fighting their demons 💀💀💀💀 (at least in the first match)
I could tell the first match that DMR only lost because he was messing around once he had the lead to try some fun curves. They probably wouldn’t have worked for the most part but man those curves looked fun to even try. As much as i hope this curve time buff stays because it so so fun to do now i can acknowledge how busted it is. Sometime you just get lost in the sauce with how fun billy is and this buff has me drowning.
Do you even know the definition of a shadow buff? Its a buff that isnt written anywhere, a hidden buff. So when I look at this video and it states exactly what the buffs were, then its plain and simple: HE JUST GOT A PLAIN OLD BUFF.

Billy was way too overtuned but he gets away with it because hes billy, since hes so loved they could make him so oppressive that he is way stronger than nurse or blight and no one would care. I liked old billy in 2016 as much as anyone else but hes never coming back and buffing the ever god out of a character that didnt need it wasnt a good choice. All they had to do was remove overheat and everyone would of been happy but hes just really uncontrollable in a lot of loops w just brown add ons and hes boring
Both of then played extremely well, dmr with those curves and team Elysium dodging it all like gods, those matches were gold.
Only issue with this is that's not what a shadow buff is. It's can't be a "shadow buff" when it's in plain text, in the patch notes; and it also can't be "hidden in the patch notes" when it's in plain text, in bullet point form, in said patch notes either.

Did dmr get any pop value? I swear he didnt kick a gen and in a fair number of cases pain res didnt have a good hit. I think he would've gotten more value out of something like dead lock or grim embrace and dead mans switch. My last little criticism, he overcommitted a good bit in the first (keso) and third game (xeno) and probably could've gotten better at predicting. Keso continuously crouched tech at several loops so maybe either back rev a little more or fake the chainsaw could've helped. Xeno I think once you first saw the corner manuevers, Xeno got use to the curves towards pallets so they could just hide in corners. Granted DMR is really good, but I think overcommitted to chases and playstyles and tried way too much on some curves instead of either trying to hold more patience against certain players or didnt try any fake outs and tuned up more on his perks.
That first match was one helluva come back and all I can think was, if shi-na was a random they've given up on first hook.
I know these guys are incredible players but I feel like there's something to be said about finishing the game rather than giving up on hook or hiding in a corner for the rest of the match.

The video was incredibly fascinating to watch.
The spectator camera is still so buggy and the jittery camera-shake that occurred when spectating the killer wasn't very pleasant. Please BHVR make this game more fun to watch.

Really hate what Hillbilly has become after his rework especially considering how close he was to being a healthy, fair and functional killer.
Overdrive + base kit buffs + new curving has made him into a mobile Chucky with instadown capabilities. Utterly miserable to deal with at loops.
Because they are 4 PRO Survs vs a PRO Billy...but that didnt happend at SoloQ xDDDDDDDDD

The biggest factor is that me as a console Billy can now finally properly curve loops that pc players could normally do. As a console main I’m really happy with the changes
Not impressed with new billie! The problem i see is survivors keep getting caught out of position. If you see billy plan ahead and play smart!
Honestly it's scary how strong billy is now. He has so many more options in chase and if these weren't some of the best survivors or there was 1 weak link then I don't see him losing. And honestly one of the things that made him lose a lot of the games in this video was crouch teching on top of the obviously insane plays from the survivors. But the crouch tech existing cost him more downs then I could count and would have changed the game significantly. I wonder if they will ever patch that and then we return to the era of billy being top 3 like the old days
It feels better to play him but he is not much stronger. He's still gets outplayed by the same tactics just like the old Billy.

Billy's buffs just made him good against average players or catching decent players off-guard with cross map sprints. In order for him to be good at chase against good players he needs to stack perks like bamboozle, spirt fury, etc... but then he loses out on needed gen defense. He's still not crazy strong

Trust me, I learned the INSANE buffed curving on Eyrie of Crows and did a FULL 180 on one of the 360 guard rails and downed them in Overdrive. It's absolute insanity 😂 But I'm glad to see the insanely talented Billy players use this as well!

Im sorry but watching pro billys makes me so mad. They go for stuff that they don't need to and waste so much time just for a cool chainsaw. In all the matches of billy playing good survivors i see them waste so many potential downs not take use of their perks correctly

All killers need cooldowns yet killers keep getting the freedom to not have any cool downs and added speed's boost ontop of haveing bloodlust and other cheap perks that block are pellets and windows and being able to find survivors easy with cheap perks shows how much they hate survivors and only care to make killers stronger well we keep getting nerfed
But yeah the game is survivor-sided*20th buff in the year for killer*😂

People are going to think I'm insane for saying this, but this buff is literally so good that he's viable even on indoor maps. Hawking is still trash for how tight it is (unfortunately), but Lery's has millions of 90 deg. turns that this new buff slaps in, RPD literally isn't even scary anymore for skilled Bills, and with the other silent buff of reducing his hitboxes, you'd be surprised just how far you can chainsaw in the Nostromo wreckage. I mained Billy even during the orange-overheat, but now he's not even the same anymore since day one of DBD and I freakin love it. He's never been more comp-viable and (here comes the hottest take ever) might actually be stronger than Blight when played by a top 10 main.
Edit: Tell me to calm tf down, but I still stand by this.

That overdrive flame is kinda obnoxious. It's literally a LoS blocker right in front of your face. I wouldn't be shocked if megamind survivors find a way to use it.
hot take: Billy is more obnoxious to face over nurse. Nurse actually has a cooldown plus shes 4.4 Instead u have a no cooldown, 2 second charge up, basically unlimited overcharge and all while being 4.6
This is a very busted take because nurse has a cooldown yes, but it's already very short by basekit, pair it with addons or the mini coup add-on and u don't last long. If u last long against a nurse it's because she made mistakes, u can't last against a good nurse more than 15-25 seconds quite literally, Billy has more than enough counter play
Nurse is slower than 4.4
I am super happy BHVR fixed this. I literally stopped being a billy main for a while because you couldnt curve tight enough, hence curving was ruined

You don’t need to be the best Billy in the world to take advantage of this buff. It’s not so much a shadow buff - everyone knows it’s a huge buff. But if you’ve got to be one of the best survivors in the world to go against mid Billy’s, then maybe there is something wrong.
billy is overtuned now, i've seen billys do something like ~160 degrees turns and it's crazy. the first match looks off to me, it should've been 4k, what the hell happened there is a mystery
