- This might just be the best Patch that Dead by Daylight has ever seen,
The developers have announced that 3 genning is a thing of the past, limiting the number of damage events per generator to 8, I feel personally attacked.
The Fov slider WILL be added this patch, shadowborn basekit
aaand Onryo is getting ANOTHER rework
her condemn will NOT spread mapwide anymore and when survivors get hooked their condemn locks in and can not be lowered anymore
Hillbilly is getting a MASSIVE rework
Overheat gets replaced with overdrive
His base stats get an increase and his addons get an entire rework
Blight is finally getting his addons tuned with some insanely fun alternatively that allow him to rush infinitely
Ormond is getting a partial rework
and some other massive perk changes
Save the best getting a huge nerf
Grim embrace being the new meta killer perk that everyone will run, especially together with pain resonance,

something that isn't getting much attention is the fact that they added scores for curving which in my mind is great because it shows the devs acknowledging that curving is a key part of the power that they can balance around for the future.
And yet the created an add-on that makes curving impossible… just cause

@@kingol4801 It's really useful for a baby billy, specially on console, I've seen a bunch of billies that curve right next to a survivor because the survivor is swerving and the billy is trying to imitate the movement
Billy coming back into the meta is amazing, seeing billy roll off some corners and snow piles now on ormond is amazing

STBFL seems very weird now. Now the survivors can punish you for using the perk if they use FTP. And if they use plot twist half of your stacks are gone already
Even when Pig isn't even mentioned by the changelog, Pig gets nerfed.
GOOD! Save brain rot is a serious problem for a lot of people who play killer, so much so that they'd rather their chases take longer to M1 survivors instead of using their stronger M2. Case in Point: Demogorgan. Shredding is insane, and crippling that power by going for M1's is just brainless.
save is a perk that was intended to have counterplay for the survivors. its just now significantly harder for the killers who use save effectively to circumvent the counterplay. its a fine change.

Imo with the base sprint speed increase the engravings arent neccessary anymore

Blights addons are still ridiculous, especially iri tag. Imagine Spirit with unlimited phasing until she gets a hit? its just stupid
how?, high level blight players play are capable of getting hits in 5 rushes, iri tag would only nerf them because add ons dont stack to 5 rushes only 3, and there cooldown to rush again would b longer

I think the Play menu should be expanded by default. What's the point of everyone having to do one unnecessary extra click just to actually play the game? It's not that there isn't enough space on the screen to have this stuff visible at all times…

Blight tag + Clanker thorn
You rush until you find someone you purposefully miss or go fatigue with clanker you recover much quicker, then you m1 chase them with your chase build and after one hit you can rush or chase them normally

Hens you should play blight with double iri addons, if you rush for a long time and for longer rushes your turn rate eventually allows you to turn perfectly as if you weren’t rushing and do a 360 mid rush if you combo both of his iri addons
So Artist now has the two top gen delay perks in the game. As an Artist main, I see this as an absolute win!
Edit: Yes, 2, not 3. Even diehard Pentimento fans (which I did not know there were many of, but my replies section proves otherwise) cannot argue that it's anywhere near Corrupt, Pop, Deadlock, DMS, or Surge/Jolt.

Nah man, penti is also broken as hell, -30% is fuckin massive and has saved me quite a few games. I’m thinking about changing my normal build from Pain Res/Deadlock/Penti/Plaything to Pain Res/Grim Embrace/Penti/Plaything or maybe even Grim Embrace/Deadlock/Penti/Plaything. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of Grim Embrace/Deadlock/Pain Res/Pop now though, as the gen slowdown you get from that is pretty unmatched.
@@VienerSchnitzel69 Penti's a noobstomper perk. It only works when you choose worse perks to go with it *and* the survivors aren't good. There are few games where it will win you a game you wouldn't have otherwise. If the survivors are bad, penti gets value but you'd probably have won anyway. If the survivors are good, penti gets little/no value. It only turns wins into blowouts, not losses into wins.

Blight is already the most used killer, if the players wants to tunnel there is nothing that can stop him to do it, add ons doesn’t change that, he can have no add ons and people would tunnel just as much.
That blight add-on is funny be pretty nutty

The Onryo and some of the perk changes are my main concern. Like Onryo feels like she'll be weak again and a lot of the perks now just seem weird or still do nothing (with the exception of grim embrace).
It's a bad problem behavior has they take a perk that's already kinda mid and either nerf it to where it's unusable or make it completely broken there's no inbetween.
She will be complete garbage now. Some dev just really hates being moried by condemn so he decided to delete this playstyle completely.

He gets unlimited power, but at the cost of higher CD on his power after landing that one hit.
Then he becomes useless M1 killer for quite a while.
So, if he uses his infinite power for traversal, he will land 1st hit and will have to chase injured survivor as 115% powerless killer.
And if he uses it to secure downs, he does not really NEED infinite power for that in 4/5 situations.
So, higher CD for a questionable benefit. Only ever useful on massive maps.

I only ever used save on m1 killers as with other killers it didnt feel necessary so the only part of that really mattered is the cooldown reduction
I think that an addonless billy will now be more powerful than an addonless blight if billy is as powerful as he is in the ptb.

I still bitch about how much I hate mmr because I don't like to tryhard every game session but I won't care with this version of Hillbilly. I used to main him before they added overheat to his chainsaw. Now he really looks strong and curves will be easier than before, unless in overdrive. Never felt so hyped in my almost 5 years of dbd playtime
"Curve" and "Curve Hit" are scoring events now and I think that's pretty cool

Not many people are seeing that the Doom Engravings (Iridescent Engravings) charge time actually got reduced by 2%. Used to be 14% charge time penalty, doesn't sound like a major buff to the add on but it looks pretty noticeable.
Blight doesn’t need addons to destroy. I for one am quite happy to see what type of spice will be achievable with an addon that allows for the birth of tornado blight
With the new Alan wake perk light born will be in every one of my perk sets but Billy not being dead seems nice
Idk if this was intentional or not, but as a billy enjoyer for years i find it awesome how we have the blue chainsaw overheat now. Back when people were modding skins in the game and old billy animations into the game, people were making overheat blue. I remember seeing billy clips with modded blue overheat and being jealous cause it looked clean. Probably just a coincidence but i like to think BHVR is just that cool to take inspiration from it.
We really kept saying to buff all these things at once like bump cooldown and engraving basekit, but nobody believed theyd actually do it and we just said 'at least an engraving basekit'. But we actually fuckin got it. Im with you, im not going back to live until I am kicked out of it, just like an amusement park as a kid. Im gonna cry if they nerf his speed and overdrive a significant amount. Cant believe people on reddit and twitter saying 'billy gonna be least favorite killer to go against even moreso than nurse, im calling it' posts. So sad. Had so many fun chases and crouch techs on me today. Yet these shitters are gonna cry when gtvel is able to run them over everygame

@ 3:29 is a shader compilation stutter. Dbd is a UE4 game that *does* *not* pre-compile its shaders. Since there's no pre-compile step anytime a new effect appears on screen, like Billy's new Overdrive chainsaw, the game will stutter as it suddenly needs to compile a new shader. The stutter should only occur for the first time an effect is rendered since as soon as the shader is compiled it will be cached for future uses. However, updating your GPU drivers will purge your shader cache resulting in you experiencing shader related stutters all over again. If BHVR added a shader pre-compilation step to dbd these types of stutters would be completely eliminated.

@@pando126 its right there in the patch notes. when she teleports, the TV she teleports too and ALL powered TVs inflict 1 stack of Condemned if a survivor is within 16m (18m with an add on) and it ignores line of sight.
