That my dear is the most beautiful granny square blanket I have ever seen. My grandmother taught me when I was five and I am almost sixty and I have to say you did an awesome job... I love the colors you chose. Just beautiful...
I'm not an expert, but I've seen blankets less well made win prizes at a country fair. Those colors are exquisite together and that is one beautiful blanket.
I have been crocheting now for about 55 years & never was fond of the grannie square pattern even though I have crocheted it once in awhile but sweet lady your work & color palette has inspired this senior lady.😉 Beautiful afghan❤
Fantastic job. It is a show stopper. The sage green border is a perfect choice. I would add another two rows, maybe doing a cross stitch pattern. But, it is beautiful like it is.
Hi, 🤗, There, You have to admit... Through All of your ordeal with sewing this Lovely Granny Square Blanket together....Your Lovely CAT is still by your side. 👍👍👍. He or She made me laugh, when it was running all under the Blanket & then pops up & out. Your expression was sooo funny, too. I wish I still had All my Cats with me. I Started with 10 then it went down to 8. And now it's 0. Cause, they All eventually went up to Heaven & are giving God & Jesus a lot of fun Laughs, now. So, Please, I know you dearly Love your Cat. But, it's just wanting a little attention at that moment. And you were busy at the time. "It's better to have 1 then....NONE". I DO MISS, All My Cats. Blessings to you & your Cat. 🙏. Sincerely, Elsa R. 64 yrs. young/old woman. From out in California. (I Crochet; Hand Knitting; Flatbed Knitting Machine; Embroidery; Sew by Hand; Plus, by Machine; & Needlepoint, too). So, I do my share of Crafts. That I Dearly Love, too. Take it easy when you have to put those square together. I know it's Time Consuming but in the end...Your blanket will be well, Loved & used. 🙄🤔👍👍👍👋. Stay Safe 😷. (Time: 6:13 am)....👋
Thank you so much 💕 your thoughtful comment means a lot! Unfortunately cats don’t get to live as long of lives as we’d hope but that just means we get to love so many different cats in our lifetime! My cats name is little duck and he definitely requires lot of belly pets and attention 😊
Bianca I crochet since I was 7, I am 50 now. I use my hands differently when crocheting, I never get blisters. Anyways, I adore your blanket, it’s gorgeous!!!! Thank you for the great video ❤
12:50 girl, I don’t know if the example you showed us here is the way you crochet 100% of the time, but if it is, that is the reason your hand cramps, every single time you finish a granny square. You can use one or more of your fingers on your working hand to stabilize the yarn that’s on your hook, so you don’t have to move your wrist around nearly as much in order to keep it there.
@Biancamakesit I learned to crochet from my grandma, so it's hard to explain. But from what I remember, Bella Coco had a video on her crochet channel about how to hold the hook and yarn ergonomically
I made a full size sunflower granny square blanket last year and got SO tired of making all the small squares! Next time I make something with granny squares I'm going with much larger squares which equals much less work joining them. I crocheted mine together instead of sewing them together but it wasn't any easier. I don't think there's really an easy way to do it...joining granny squares is a pain either way, especially trying to find a comfy position to do so. Your blanket turned out very pretty though! I'd say the discomfort was worth it 😘😀
Those colors are everything and have me excited for fall. I love watching true crime too. I follow Law and Crime you tube channel and watch live trials. I also enjoy watching Pretty Lies and Alibis. The Lawyer You Know is a great channel too. Happy crocheting. ❤
Thank you! I agree, I’ve also learned that I should readjust my hand position when I’m holding the hook… that’s probably why I kept getting blisters on my fingers 😁
I’m making a baby blanket w 25 granny squares and I literally hate myself now that it’s time to sew them 😝 I can’t imagine the patience this project took but omg it’s incredible !!!! 😍
I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been crocheting for 40 years and all I do is granny squares, usually 1 big granny square baby blankets with a ruffle border. But, your blanket is absolutely gorgeous and looks so beautiful on your bed. Great job!
I would like to thank you for showing me a method which I didn't think of with my laptop. I was always using it as a desktop, but now I will try to incorporate it in my daily activities so it will be fun!!!
Love your kitty. Love your afghan. It came out amazing. I started getting the rolled organic oats at Sprouts in the bulk section and it’s so much cheaper. Really enjoyed this video.
Absolutely beautiful! Kudos to you! Love your colour combination! I've crocheted a few blankets and know what it takes! You'll have lots of pleasure treasuring this!
Beautiful blanket. All that work I know your tired of crocheting that blanket but you should put another row on for border, it will give it a much cleaner and complete finished look:)
I love this color pallet so much!!! Also your content feels very understood and realized! I love your confidence and your editing skills are wonderful! Keep it up!!!
Hello I am new to yoir channel and I have tonsay I LOVE THIS BLANKET 😮❤ The colors go beautifully with each other and keeping the border simple will not take away from squares. I have been wanting to make one for years but haven't. Seeing your finished blanket has made me decide to finally do one. Do you have a pattern for the squares? Thank you for sharing ❤️
What a pretty color combo! Lovely blanket. For uh, youtube true crime I highly recommend The Casual Criminalist. He's got professional writers that do all the research and write the scripts and they cover all manner of crimes and its just very fun and informative.
I’ve just seen this video now. Have you tried ergonomic hooks - something with padding - it definitely helps with hand cramping. I taught myself to hold the hook like a knife rather than a pencil in order to use them. Made a big difference. Clover Amour are my favourites. Susan Bates has ergonomic ones too, or you might be able to buy a foam thingy to slip on the hook you already have. It’s a beautiful blanket!
