Best Poison record, ever. I'm usually the guy who hates when a metal band loses their edge, but this record was and is so good, that it didn't matter that it was on the soft side, much like Queensryche's Empire record. This record came at a time in my life, when I had just lost love and was deeply hurt, and at the same time, I was trying to find my feet as a young adult, doing the daily grind at work, attempting to smile through the pain and get my job done. The good Lord and good music truly saved my life. Hard to believe that so many years have passed, since this record was released. It seems like only yesterday, and brings back memories.
I love the distinct sound that this band has. I would recognize their music anywhere. Bret has vocals that are so his own. I never ever tire of hearing the music from Poison.

This was an amazing song! I really think Kotzen and Poison was one of the best jam out of the 80's box. It was fresh and it still stands the test of time! Poison always had the vision.. Kotzen, Saraceno after Deville did add an amazing punch to the band next album!
Always admired how these 3 embraced Kotzen's triple threat with no egos, just recognition of his sheer talent. Shame Richie took liberties and prevented us from having at least one more album.

Going through the tuffest recovery was just total hell,I seen the flames,the hands reaching for me as rocks and roses hit me non stop,flames all around me.I needed something To Believe In.Needed something so,so bad.Lucky for me I found this wonderful song,like a few others it helped me to go on with my life,even after going to hell and back.Thank you Poison for giving me the something To Believe In,thank you so much.
they were ridiculed when they first came out, this album was the game changer for them. ritchie kotzen brought the golden touch,thank god. outstanding track.

One of their best albums to date. I put it right up there with Flesh & Blood, which is the band's best album with the classic lineup. I have both albums on vinyl, and they both sound amazing!

you know its funny. i remember hearing this song on the radio when it 1st came out. this and stand. lot of poeple questioned what kind of record poison had made. well as we now know, they made a RK influenced record. RK was a virtual unknown at the time to the mainstream. then cobain blew everything up. well imo the perfect trio has come together. now all circle of music fans will know who Richie Kotzen is. RK is the entire package....
This album with Kotzen, in my opinion, it's Poison's best album to date. In all fairness unfortunately, there were strong reasons as why Ritchie left the band. Can't wait to see The Winery Dogs. Peace all..

songwriting with RK was completly different...native tongue is so damn perfect. so smooth sweet and so damn rock in few songs. poison never had this poetry in themselves. thumbs up for one of my favourite album ever.
This album was Poison's best...but ironically, it will be the last for which they are remembered. Like Brett said, "Poison will always be Bobbi, Ricki, CC, Bret"
richie's influence is all over this album. and he gives Brett credit and thanks for letting him be him. unfortunately kurt cobain was about to piss in everyones garden. but honestly the rock world wasn't ready for richie yet. he has fused every style of music into 1. and did so brilliantly

Like Steve Cooney and many people on this thread, I think we're saying the same thing. Kotzen is an overall far better guitarist than CC, but the sound/style of CC was conducive to what the world remembers as Poison and ultimately, Kotzen was something different.
