Man that is one of the best live performances of a glam rock band EVER. What a song, and what an awesome guitarist Richie Kotzen is. Severely unsung, should be a household name. Poison rocks.
Poison performing "Stand" on Arsenio Hall on March 26, 1993. Exactly today, it's been 30 years since this show was shown and here I am enjoying this spectacular sound (March 26, 2023)
I grew up listening to Poison. My favorite song of theirs is Talk Dirty To me from their album Lokk what the cat dragge in. I played that song to death back in the 80's and 90's and still do today.✌️🤘🎸🥁🎤
I love both albums. Both great but flesh and blood was and still is one of those "soundtrack of my life" albums. Native tongue a completely different thing than flesh and blood for the most part. Richie kotzen with poison definitely brought more out of the rest of them. Poison was a great band that always put on a great show. Saw em a bunch of times as the opening act for many highly rated bands and every time they were better than the headliner.
This is NOT Poison. It’s poison-esk. But CC is part of the equation that makes real poison. It’s the magic of those four guys… Bret, CC, Bobby, Ricky… that’s Poison.
Richie Kotzen es buen guitarrista, pero el sonido como la guitarra de C.C de Vill no hay otra para POISON es la llave original del grupo junto con Bret.🎸🎸🎸
@@dimebagsixx Sure, Michaels had the more commercial success back then and still probably the better marketeer. Richie's songwriting, singing and playing if you listen to his solo records, are on another level. Plus Kotzen still in the game today doing great stuff with Adrian Smith and the winery dogs. What has Brett been doing today? I heard he aged like milk.
@@MrSavage87ohh, I don’t know, Poison did go on the highly successful Stadium tour alongside Joan Jett, Motley Crue and Def Leppard. And a vast majority of people who attended claimed that Poison stole the show every night. Also ticket sales were around $173 million. So yeah, sounds like Bret’s still in the game too.
Please, commercial success doesn't make a great musician. Kotzen is a world class monster guitarist who happens to have a fantastic voice and songwriting skills. He als.plays the drums piano and bass guitar at a very high level. Brett while being a good guy is a mediocre singer who got lucky enough to be in a highly successful hair band when that style of music was very popular.
You think Kotzen looked better than Bret? LOL. Well sorry, I'm a woman and I definitely disagree with you. Back in the day, Bret had one of the most beautiful and symmetrical faces I've seen in a man. And even today, he looks good for his age, minus his current style which he should eventually change. Kotzen has always looked like a dork by comparison and that nose of his is....well.... I'll bet ya 10 bucks you're just another one of his jealous male haters. In fact, a guy who used to write similar comments to yours a few years ago recently admitted they only did so out of jealousy. How pathetic, maybe it's time to grow up...or just admit you're gay for Kotzen xD
You are in a multimillionaire band, recorded a great album that did quite well in spite of the circumstances and can get almost any piece of ass you want. But you don't want any piece of ass, you want your drummer's 😂😂😂😂

Written by Kotzen, as well as other good songs on the album.
@@lisellesloan3191 Just heard that in an interview. Richie said he wrote 7 of the songs on that album. It's incredible how much we learn years later.
@@sweetsally1313 Then he gets caught f'n around with the drummer's wife, which got him kicked out of the band.
From the album 'Native Tongue' 👅 😛
Native Tongue is a kick ass album. I’ve never understood how people can’t just recognize great music. I’ll always love this album
That album is all Kotzen
X2
Richie throwing back that mandolin was the best part
Richie Sambora ?
Holy crap! Is that a young Richie Kotzen on the mandolin?
Yes, Sir

Richie was 23-24 years old in this footage.
that gospel chorus take the performance to another level
I know there was a reason why I like Poison. Still listening in 2023. Love ya Brett Love and Light🙏❤️
I really love this song. Poison is one of the greatest rock bands from 80's. This live performance gives me chills!! Thanks for uploading! ✌️
Very Fitting song for what is going on in the great country of the USA!
Man, this performance is beyond amazing. A beautiful yet powerful song.

Poison gets lumped in as Glam but they were just simply a great Rock N Roll band!! Awesome performance with a southern Baptist choir
Richie kotzen the best!!!
IS!!
Not from Flesh and Blood. It’s from Native Tongue
so glad I'm not the only one who noticed
You caught that too? He was holding Native Tongue not Flesh and Bllod. 😅😅😅
That new CD was called “Native Tongue” and not “Flesh & Blood” btw.

Awesome version 🙌🏻❤️🎸
Love you Bret best vocalist of all the times
Me too❤
Excelente, saludos desde puerto montt chile, larga vida a poison!!
Greatest band of all time ❤
Que buena banda poison cuando el rock and roll era rock and roll
Damn this is killer
Chévere esa canción, me gusta.
Damn this is so good!
Ritchie was the best thing that happened to Poison. Native Tongue is the album that stands up.
The most boring album they ever done! Nothing can touch Flesh and Blood!
@@davidstewart4310F & B is their best, but Native is great too

Lindooooo
I love that album Flesh & Blood! lol
sube la segunda parte de este video, donde hablan ritchie, bobby y rikki🙏
Brett Michaels is such an underrated singer .....
Mega Frontman!!! 👌💥🎸🎤🤘
It helps when you’re singing a song written by an amazing singer.
Absolutely.

Very underrated album came out at the wrong time, wasn’t this the grunge era
I wish they would have corrected AH and told him the album was called NATIVE TONGUE and NOT Flesh & Blood
does anyone know if there was any more of the interview at the end???
Why didn't anyone correct him the album is Native Tongue?
Michaels voice suites the song better then richies and im a huge fan of richie but brett got that southern thing on it ,richie wrote it though:)
I like Richie's voice better, just an opinion. But Richie is twice the singer Bret could ever dream to be.
Michel in this moment was more experienced and mature
He knew how to take the stage
@@lucassimpson3961Shame Bret has more charisma.
When Richie shows up to audition, just send the others back home and consider yourself lucky to have him
Just don't let him get to meet your girlfriend or wife.
Ritchie was the best thing that ever happened to poison
Looks like Bret has on a wig.
Lies and money aren't just "white men's god". There are all kinds of idolators out there from every race, color, creed, tribe and nation.
Why does Bret speak so fast?
Oh my god he messed up the album name
Richie changed Poison's sound.

Now are you a boy???
I was 24
I was 20
We dont have these race issues in Australia .I can only imagine what you guys go through
lol Arsenio named the wrong album!
Arsenio botches intro. Album is Native Tongue dude, not Flesh & Blood. You’re holding it in your hand!
I thought these guys were out of a job in 93 thanks to grunge 😢
Richie was the real star. Sang played and looked better than Brett. lol

Rikki's.

Rikki's fiancee
It was his "ex" fiance and they hadn't been together for a while, its not like he was with her when she was still with him-facts
