I have the key fob and my phone key enabled. I still had trouble getting the door open yesterday. Had to pull the fob out and tap the lock button to get it open. New battery too.
Double click once to open driver door. Repeat to also open passenger door. Triple click will open ALL the doors. Single click will close all open doors. Trunk can be auto open/closed. I might be getting the patterns slightly incorrect; point is the fob is more versatile than most realize. You can buy covers for them (ebay for nice ones) so it can be put on a keychain. Much more convenient than wrestling the phone out of pocket, unlocking it and trying to open an app to do the same stuff imo! You can program a bunch of personalized settings to the fobs so that you and a second driver can retain your individual configurations. I highly recommend the fob and really only use the phone to check in on the car's status and do some of the more advanced stuff like summon, etc.
Hi there. I actually found your video to be helpful. I have a Model Y and although I have not ran into issues with accessing the vehicle I think that it is bound to happen. I will definitely pick up the fab! Cheers
It's true - happens with my Model Y Performance at the worst times and makes me look like an idiot in public. Not to mention my kids making fun of me when it happens. lol

Perhaps you can allow the Tesla app to see your location at all times if you haven't

You need to give the Tesla app all location always permissions. It always works for me.
