- I decided to do a speedrun of Elden Ring where I am not allowed to trigger any loading screens. Here's how it went!

One thing you might consider is recording your mic separately from your game audio, if you don't already. It makes it way easier to edit stories and whatever in/out.

Elden Ring if it was made by a Bethesda from alternative reality:
i remember when i was a kid i really wanted to play all spider man games. and one day i saw spider man friend or foe disk in store with my dad. we got it buuut... the disk was corrupted i guess. the game would crash whenever certain characters or enemies or animations had appeared on the screen. so what i did, is i tried to kill enemies off the screen or kill them fast enough hoping they won't do the animation that crashes the game.
it was terrible. i didn't beat it because one of scenes just spawned lots of enemies on the screen and it was when my challenge run was over

Yes, you need to speak with Enia and the 2 fingers otherwise the gate to Leyndell wont open. its a weird requirement i encountered myself in a similar run

@@Yojosherino not sure if it would even be helpful for the run, but does the round-table hold requirement also apply to the leyndell tp at fias champs? not sure if coffin and the tp itself are load screens though, and also killing radahn sets your spawn location to his arena and theres no way i know to escape without load screen :(

I'd say that when you see a nice loading screen with tips and all its more like *reload* screen, i.e. except when you open the game it is usually on fast travel, death, teleport or when they need to update the area(for gaols for example) while the more minimalistic screen is just for "we hit a technical limitation and put a transition between area A and area B here as you just explore, in some places it is seamless(many dungeons have elevators at the start, just like New Londo did in DS1!) but sometimes they just need it and can't have an in-world workaround.

Honestly I was thinking just the other night about how many loading screens are in this game. Died right next to the grace you'll revive at? Loading screen. Yeah, the game has to reset the enemies, but it's excessive after a while.

Majora's mask is an underrated game in my opinion. It wasn't a traditional Zelda game and it experimented with the world. Rather than the standard "hero saves the princess" format Zelda is known for. I get why people didn't like it. Because of how physically small it is. But it has the most thought out world environment that you don't see often in games. Dark Souls and Elden ring also have fantastic world building and environment. But you have to pay attention to descriptions of the items you get. And what every character has to say. To get a full grasp on the story. I'm still in the process of beating Elden Ring.

It’s from the death jumping off the cliff in the Grafted Scion arena at the start of the game. If you die before the boss HP bar spawns you leave runes on the ground.

I'm kinda new to Elden Ring, why do you have to go to Roundtable Hold to beat the game?
If you haven’t been to Roundtable Hold, you can’t progress into Leyndell. There’s a golden gate there that says “you cannot proceed without more great runes” and it won’t disappear until you’ve been to Roundtable Hold.

Fun softlock tip: If you skip to Leyndell by using the Tower of Return transporter, you can use a wrong warp to set yourself at the entrance of the city, or do the ruptured tear elevator skip and enter the city through the Fortified Manor.
By resting at a grace in the city (not Divine Bridge/Fortified Manor), you can get Melina to automatically leave you before you even visit Roundtree. Once you beat Morgott this way, you're unable to visit the Hold ever! This means you can't upgrade your weapons beyond +3 standard, you can't get the final Talisman Pouch, and if you choose not to enter NG+ at the Stone Platform, you're stuck in basic NG forever!
Sure, it's not a complete softlock as you can reach the credits, but the amount of content you can access is severely hampered without Roundtree, and you can't ever fix that if you don't enter NG+ at the first opportunity. Sequence breaking is fun!

This is false. You cannot enter Leyndell without visiting Roundtable Hold first.

am i missing something? he could've skipped Rykard, couldn't he? Radahn or Renalla would at most have a single loading screen.
Rennala has at least 3 mandatory loading screens (one to enter the academy, one at the end of the fight, and one to exit the academy). Rykard added 0 additional loading screens to the run, because Roundtable Hold is a mandatory progression flag for entering Leyndell anyways. Rykard and Radahn both require 1 loading screen for exiting the arenas, so they are equivalent choices. I chose Rykard because he gives substantially more runes, and comes with a very OP weapon.
