In this video, our Love Birds make their evening visit before calling it a night. Shadow comes in first, then Jackie joins him for some bonding time and to work the nesting materials a bit.
These two always become so clumsy trying to work in the same spot. They bump each other, cross necks and beaks, stepping on each other on other occasions, losing their balance and even accidentally wing bonking each other, which Shadow does in this clip. Then Jackie slowly looks up towards the camera. 😐 But it didn't hurt our tough lady. She doesn't even give him grief for it. Then they show each other some affection with cute beaky-kisses between them. 💘
Then it happens. Shadow gets a wonky feather as the wind flips it up. It's quite distracting for both Eagles and provides quite the entertainment as it's also distracting me. Jackie tries to get it a few times, and Shadow can't help but see it standing up from the corner of his eye, but he tries his best to ignore it. Both continue working. Once in a while, it catches Jackie's attention. 🪶🧐
It gets darker and the infrared night vision switches over. This can only be seen through the camera and is not visible whatsoever to the animals. As they lose daylight, the eagles must pick their roosting spot before it gets too dark. Jackie heads out of the back porch and Shadow watches where she goes. He then heads out and the camera operators zoom and pan once again for us. He ends up following her to the same "Roost Tree" but after a short time, one of them leaves and the other watches and then follows to roost together.

These two are pure gold. So much beauty and strength. They simply keep going. Focused on the future. Working together and for each other. I'm excited to see what today brings. 💖
