I'll be 100% honest. Watching you swim out into that inky, dark water while it was raining with that music playing made me extremely uncomfortable. The developers did a great job designing this game. Hope this turns into a full series!

1. Theres a paddle in the raft so u can bring it to land
2. As scary as they are, the sharks dont attack yet they just swim around looking terrifying
3. I want u to find a sunken boat and explore it to find stuff
4. Wilson's in the game!
5. U can build a fire and hold raw food over it to cook it
6. U can change the screen on ur watch to see ur health, hunger, and thirst

Don't mind me, I'm here for the comments. but but its so much more fun to build your own raft right? I have to wonder if there is even a raft recipe or they expect ppl to be smart enough to keep the life raft. I mean after all that junk mark brought together, I assume there is no other raft at the moment
Siorn Actually, you can make your own raft by building a foundation and putting it in the water...but, that's not super intuitive, and I certainly wouldn't expect Mark to be capable of figuring that out on his own.
Siorn You can build your own raft, but the problem with it was that, you can't make a paddle, the paddle is in the life raft.

About the fear thing mark, agreed. To me though, my worst fear is being out in the open ocean and not being able to see the bottom, knowing that anything could swim up from the darkness below me and grab my leg or something. I went out in a freshwater lake with an Uncle and some cousins to go Tubing when I was little but I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to see the bottom if I fell off the tube. When I did, I pretty much had a panic attack (and I mean that literally, no hyperbole intended). Thankfully my cousin was also on the tube with me and when we fell off she was there to calm me down and help me back to the boat.

Shark attacks are actually quite rare in the real world, i'm actually happy to see that the creator of this game did their research and put it into consideration instead of having the shark just attack the character :D
Actually the sharks attacks haven't been programmed in yet, because it is version 0.01 Alpha, so sharks are completely harmless. I assume they will just beeline towards you and kill you when you even touch the water.
And realistically, the shark would have attacked him when he started whacking it.

sapanator123 The developer said that sharks WILL attack you but not always, mostly they just check you out and see what you're up to. Different sharks also are of different aggressiveness. Great Whites are likely to attack you on your raft and especially in open water, Tiger Sharks wont attack you while on your raft but do have a small chance of attacking while your in the water. Basically watch out for Great Whites, they are rare but way out between islands and near wrecks is where they lurk. More species will be added aswell.

I like that the shark doesn't immediately aggro when you get near it. Since Jaws, everyone seems to have this idea that all sharks want to do is nomnomnom on your fleshy bits. Sharks hardly ever bite people, which isnt to say that you shouldn't be careful. Sharks: Statistically unlikely to eat you.

In Mark's defense, at first, all he wanted was to let the shark eat him, and then he wanted the shark to be his friend, before he... decided he wanted to eat the shark. x_x
He tried to let the Shark eat him. It doesn't get nicer than that, but the Shark was being a little bitch. So Mark had to show him how it's done.
The end goal of this game's development is to be cruel and unforgiving. Right now the ai just sucks, but sharks are suppose to end up being extremely dangerous later on.
I kill sharks when I play it, they give a great amount of meat.
Sharks are a threat to you in the game, hence killing it serves the purpose of allowing you to swim around for a bit without the threat of death. On top of that, the sharks are basically the best source of food in the game, so killing them is basically essential at times.
They are not 'docile and chill' in this game; you can easily get wounded by just the tiger sharks.
The opening sequence reminded me heavily of BioShock.
