If you're trying to record night flight I'd highly recommend the Insta 360 1 inch edition. By far best the best low light action cam! I recently posted one of my night flights if you wanna see how it performs.
Now that's the exact same setup i want while flying & the 360 deg. view is great. Along wit the 3D views i've seen from Sir Swayne Martin's channel. #salute!!!! my gud brotha!!!!!!
What an advertisement for 3M. Greetings Mike I recently discovered your channel and I am starting to work my way through your videos. Take care and stay healthy.
@MojoGrip - are you still using the GoPro or have you completely transitioned to the DJI. I’ve made the switch to DJI Action 3 and just added a Action 4 and I record all of my in-cockpit shots via DJI as well as capture the audio. I wish Garmin had not made the audio connection to the VIRB inclusive to Garmin products. Bluetooth audio capture would have been great as a universal option. Great content - love the channel! Thanks
Would like to know your audio set up with the Verb. Is it plugged into intercom directly? When I’ve used GoPros for this with their adapter it’s been hit or miss. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks Mike, so does the Garman camera get the audio via Bluetooth directly form the Garman radio? I have a gopro 9 which seems to drain a battery in 15 minutes and I haven't wanted to spend another $90 on the audio adapter if it keeps me from powering the camera.
What do you do with a gopro if it suddenly stops recording? I tried plugging in an external battery pack to keep it filming. However, it sometimes stops recoding before the battery dies. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I have it setup to record in 4k 30fps. Great video!
Neat. If you put something on the tail, make sure to think through any scenario so it can't jam the rudder. Even though you have a chute, if you are over an icy lake in alaska, it's a shitty situation :) The cameras should be aerodynamic. Particularly the belly one might take a knot or two off your speed. You could get a 3D printed teardrop cowling made for the one on the wing. And looking at your plane, so many rivets and how long it took to make, maybe work with the wild south africans on a single piece compositive with small turbofan jets. Come to think of it, I believe their last plane is a pure composite so it's not that big a step. Imagine a 4 seater pressurized with twin jets, same size, same price as yours or even cheaper. 600km/h, fly above the weather in perfect calm, take it across the atlantic on a whim. Atlanta to LA in 5 hours.
Love your videos, but I do have a small nit... Your wing camera(s) are mounted aft on a sloped part of the wing's top camber, so they show your aircraft in a nose-down attitude [1:12] when you are really cruising level - it always gives me a cognitive jolt :-) If you ever replace them, consider moving them forward several inches to the "horizontal" part of the wing.
Mike, you won't regret getting a 360 camera. It shoots everything and then you can pick your best shots/pans in editing. I love mine.
If cgh
which 360 camera do you use? also how is the battery life?
Your setup really is the dream
I need this form my food channel I love your channel !
Thank you !
You have a sweet machine!

Very interesting. Thank you
Cool set up. And makes for great videos.
Dji Osmo cameras are great, I use 2 and am super impressed with them!
Good info
Hey Mike, fyi, the 3m gopro mount in my plane came loose and fell after a couple of years of usage. So check before each flight.
Copy that
"It holds, I promise you it holds."
Camera goes WOOOSSSHHH,...
Viper Jet in the background..do a video...please.
How about the Instra 360
Thanks Mike, always wondered the camera setup! Refreshing to see Raf's L39 in the hangar behind you :)
Let’s see a L39 walk-around

Agree, Gopro's are buggy and stop recording for no reason. I land and looking forward to my video and lots of time, I have nothing.
hi mike !!
Now we know I do have one question how do you turn them on and off?
Love the setup. Just be careful if you put a camera in the rudder balance.

The Garmin Virb connects wireless to the G3X radios via Bluetooth

What about when you show from the bottom of the plane? What camera you use?

Too bad they discontinued the DJI Osmo Action . Haven’t heard a lot of good things about the Action 2 (especially the form factor change)
What are your thoughts on the Sony rxo 2

I merely assumed Superman was holding the cameras.
Sshhhhh! Don't give away Mike's secret identity! 😉
How do you do the mic set up to get your voice and ATC?
What size memory cards do you use?
👍👍

Dji pocket pls
I lost a camera like that. It’s better I think to go with a metal brace.
Very Nice Bro! Get Good people!
Ok I saw you use to show the belly of the plane.
Just me I’m not big fan of 3D cams….. just saying……
