LPF and Pepetools introduce the engraving adapter for hammer flex shaft hammer hand piece. This product was originally developed by Head Lion Puncher, Blacksmith, Jeweler, Lapidary, and Janitor Christopher Anderson. originally designed for carving dies and engraving silver for jewelry. After a few design changes and upgrades it was quickly one of the most popular videos LPF Uploaded to UA-cam . Professional engraving setups are expensive and not always within reach to small scale jewelers, carvers and hobbyists. The partnership between LPF and Pepetools was forged to offer another lower cost alternative that allows artists to try power engraving using an adapter for a tool a lot of metalsmiths may already have- a hammer hand piece this adapter uses commercially available 1/8 diameter round shank gravers. Foredom and others
Was hoping to see a finish item to see the quality guess I’ll have to try it.
Just bought one mine is gold ? And had to buy the right tip because it comes with the flat not happy ! thank you for the info !
Correct the recent model is titanium nitrate coated (gold) I use a selection of handmade and store bought gravers - the flat is great for background removal

So impressed, I purchased. I have a question, though. Seems no matter what I do, the graver loosens after a few seconds. Is there a trick?
Are you using the Allen wrench to snug the set screw down?

Congratulations! I have it attached to my hand piece now and have a few questions...How far do you insert the graver? At what speed should you run the hammer? What am I doing wrong causing the adapter get loose when you I run it?
Most of the time the graver has been coming loose because the graver is not inserted all the way. Try backing out the set screw until you cannot see any of it in the barrel - the graver should slide all
The way into the back of the adapter - after it is all The way inserted tighten the screw onto a flat surface of the square graver. Use the Allen wrench to snug it up- when the graver comes loose it’s a sign the graver was not placed far enough in and the screw is tightened to the back of the graver- not the back- I plan on making a video now that I am back in town

Where and when will this awesome tool be available? Does it effect the stroke of the handpiece? It looks like a very smooth stroke.

T Sue the next batch will be starting production at the end of this month Pepetools will be putting them out to their distributors. What type of graver are you using here? Thanks in advance
The tip I think was ground to a V shape- or are you referring to the tool itself ?
is it compatible with the H.MH-110 Hammer Handpiece ( micromotor )?
Ryan Struk I am waiting for confirmation of this but at the moment I know the threads on both hand pieces are the same and accept the same anvils sold by foredom for them. I have not had any testing using this on a micro-motor though
Where do you get the little gravers you put in it?
The 1/8 inch diameter round shank gravers are available at most tool dealers that sell engraving tools. I have also made my own using High speed tool steel blanks and a grinder
