My favorite of the CW Bel Canto are the Dark blue and green dials which were the very first releases. Tony, being English appreciate your positive words about England although I’ve lived in US for 40+ years🤔
Thank you man! Although you live in the states now, you will always be a brit. Can’t take that away. I love England and still have many friends there that I have known for 35+ years. Thanks for your comment. 🤙🤙
Tony that is a Cool looking watch. I honestly don't know How long I could stand hearing a chime every hour . lol Hope the back is doing better . !! Enjoy the weekend
I picked up the blue dial Bel Canto...it's an amazing watch. I have their Concept with their in-house movement watch from last year too. They just launched a 50 piece run between Fears and CW with their in-house jump hour. I couldn't pick this one up, but I really wanted it! The finishing of the movement in the Concept and Bel Canto is done by the same co as MBF's finishing. CW seems to have a significant release every year.
@Frank Frank If it's shipped to the US, the VAT is removed. However, it will be subject to import duties on value above $2k. For a $4-5k with, the duty will run around $200. For some reason, I got lucky and they didn't charge me for this one!
As an expat in Ohio…love your enthusiasm for watches, Aston Martin’s and the Sex Pistols. Keep up the great work Tony…your candor and humor are what I come back for.
Correct my friend, deposit is it in. And the same my man, nothing in their catalog ever jumped out at me that would make me look twice at them until the Canto rolled out. Thanks for all the info. BTW, how’s the back dude? You looked a lot more comfortable and relaxed physically today so hopefully the shots are working!!! Color wise I went with the blue but was torn between that brownish one! Thanks for this episode (btw I loved and worked in London for a year as well around 10 years ago) I’ve heard good things about fears and want to check them out one day as well. Cheers brother!
Thanks man! And congrats on getting on that! The blue is really nice! My back was better, but I feel it acting up a bit. I hope it doesn’t go out again. I’m going to most likely have to get surgery this year. Ugh. Thanks for asking though!! 🤙🤙
You'll love it...BTW, if you watch Nico's channel, you'll see him wearing his Bel Canto blue dial. If Nico is getting Bel Canto wrist time...well, it's a pretty good endorsement!
Not factually right Tony . Cward own their own facility in Switzerland . They have created in house movements and source these out to Swiss manufacturers.. The Bel canto is a phenomenal piece for the price and highlights the ridiculously inflated prices from the Swiss Cartel . They may well become a real market disruptor because whatever the produce they give phenomenal value . Even the bread and butter stuff is absolutely superb quality for the price . My collection is Rolex heavy and do love the brand but happily wear Cw as just produce such a great quality value ratio and really appreciate companies who are not trying to scalp the consumer at every turn as is so common in Switzerland ..
All good, I wasn’t stating it as factual, it was a “most likely “ scenario, since that is what is most likely. Having said that , I agree that the Bel Canto is an amazing watch and I give them props for what they are doing. More power to them for actually owning their own facility. They are definitely on point with their pricing, I don’t think they will disrupt the market though. Either way, I appreciate your insight and comment. 🤙🤙
Hey good for them for making what is usually a very expensive and limited complication. Some people will look down on it and say it’s cheap others will aspireaspire to own it and call it magnificent. I say it would be cool if chiming watches became more popular.
CW bought a manufacturer relatively recently. They've also developed their own movement although it isn't in this particular watch. But yeah, the rest of their line up is pretty nondescript (the compressor is ok I suppose). They are not a brand I've ever been interested in, just not my scene. But I have ordered one of these, I think you would be right to call it a masterpiece. It really is.
Hi Tony Please add this question to the WB when available: -Nomos club sport neomatik 42 date black Or -Engineer iii Marvelight chronometer - caring edition (40mm) Watch for everyday travelling
This is probably the most interesting watch anywhere near this price bracket. Not sure if it would suit me or where I'd wear it, but it is pretty cool.
The bel canto is badass. I agree, when I first saw it, I couldn’t believe CW came out with THAT. Totally different than any other of their offerings.
🤙🤙

I ordered the purple dial on bracelet. Wonder if this release sold out yet?
Tony that is a Cool looking watch.

Hey man, lol, you can disengage the function so you don’t have to hear it. And thanks for asking about my back! 🤙🤙
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Oh I honestly didn't know you could turn off the chime ! That makes the Cool factor much higher !! Thanks Tony !! 🤙

Very cool! Congrats on yours. I’m going to keep an eye on them. Who knows, maybe I’ll pick one up! 🤙🤙
How much VAT did you have to pay? Strap or bracelet?

He’s such a cute little squeaky devil 😈!
