Hey Chris, thanks for sharing this review. What a Beautiful watch! Disappointed that it was sold out before I could order one. hope they release a white color dial version. I will definitely buy one. By the way Mike France, the CEO, on one of the interviews, he said that the case is grade 5 titanium.
For anyone watching, the case is grade 5 titanium whereas the strap is grade 2 titanium

When I first saw this (yesterday) on Watchfinder, I immediately thought that the chime mechanism on the dial-side looks like a stylised bird, with the red accent as the beak. I love it and it’s very creative.

Ordered a black one. I love Christopher Ward watches and own the Sandhurst 1 which is Smiths W10 homage. High quality, super accurate at an affordable price.
It's very, very stylish. It also reminds me of a pinball machine, in a good way. Glad they thought of using lume. I wouldn't mind colored metal hands to make reading the watch even easier.

That is a very interesting and good looking watch.
I am surprised they didn't put any type of hard coatings on the titanium. Also some kind of second indicator would have been nice. Maybe a small skeletonized section to see the balance wheel might have worked too.
they already made the Bell Hora for MeisterSinger so not a huge stretch...this version lets you see whats going on...never the less its gorgeous and I ordered the green...

Hi Chris, although the bracelet is made with grade 2 titanium, the watch case is made from grade 5 titanium.
I thought the same. Since CW advertised it (the case) as grade 5, there was no reason they are not telling the truth. So the bracelet could be a grade 2 as opposed to a grade 5 on the watch case.
@@hotsauz I should have mentioned that Christopher Ward's website confirms this. Under 'Features' if you click on "more" it reveals that the case is grade 5 and the bracelet is grade 2.
i wish for a second version release that adds the following : sweeping seconds , date, sufficient contrast to read time fast, reduced thickness.

Yep I can confirm from the CW website that the all important case case is Grade 5 Titanium, whilst the bracelet is Grade 2 Titanium. Which I think is fine🌹

This watch made me take CW as a serious watch brand, not just a microbrand.
I want to make a couple of corrections. You are correct in that the bracelet is Grade 2 Titanium, however, the case is Grade 5. Also, the water resistance is rated at only 30M (3 ATM).
By the way, the brand you are referring to is mb&f

Nice review and nice watch indeed. I however much prefer it on a leather strap, the steel bracelet doesn't suit a watch of this style in my opinion.

WatchChris, Chris hi, wh does that red arrow look as if the tip is broken off (at 6:01)? I looked at some pic online and it seems that the tip should be pointy. However, in this video not only does it look like it is missing a tip, it actually looks like somebody took a saw to it and didnt round off the edges after the tip fell off.
I don’t know if you are interested, but they did a little article about the watch in their magazine. It is of course free for the asking.
Congrats! Meistersinger has the same complication but CW did a better job on the dial design. I would pick CW if I want such complication. Nice review 👍.
FYI, the Meistersinger is actually made by CW.
Really cool watch. Just wish they could have put in a seconds hand so you have more of an idea on accuracy.
Hi, it is supposed to be grade 5 titanium and not grade 2 (that is what is indicated on CW website)

After seeing it in the flesh; which would you choose from the new color scheme between the viola or nero??? I have one on order but still deciding.
FWIW, I haven't held one, but I ordered in viola, because it matches the jewel color, and due to the red beak.
I will buy a used one for half price.

Well I love the moment and the novality of it, but for me the case and bracelet doesn't really balance the quality of the movement, and I just don't want a watch on my wrist dinging away every hour that difficult to read the time it's just not my kind of watch. Function over design for me is the priority.
It should be Grade5 titatium, thats what they listed as
If it's polished, it's grade 5.

Its one chime. Price aside its one chime. How is that worth the money.
It's an awesome watch, but I don't think it looks good on the bracelet. They should have made the case stainless steel and offered it exclusively on a nice leather strap.
I'm sure they'll do that eventually, I might be a buyer then.

Depending on how many they make, these could be the exception.
I don't like it, chime sounds cheap and its not very aesthetically pleasing. Looks like modern art. I think I'm the one of the first few to say it but I'll pass. Good review nonetheless Chris!

Not sure he has a clue. Bet he has a Rolex collection. Being mugged of by one of the lazy big watch sellers. When was the last time Rolex could be bothered to try and push the boundaries. And if they could be bothered it would cost the earth.
