I'm a fan from Taiwan, I got my SIGMA fp and kit lens 45mm DN DG C for the first half year, and I'm very satisfied with its light weight and image quality. But at same time, I'm always wanted to buy another zoom lens for travelling. Today this lens just show up in time! I don't need to worry about if 24-70mm lens is too heavy or too huge to carry around, the new 28-70mm lens might be the best choice for me now! And thanks again for your awesome video review!

if you want light and portable lens than this 28-70 could be great choice for your fp - be aware that there is no lens stabilisation build in though.

In my opinion is here to compete with the tamron. The problem is that is not even out, and is a problem because there is no second hand market for this one as there is for the tamron. This one would cost 750 pounds and the tamron second hand you can find it for 600 even less. So if you are in a budget as I am and don’t mind a bit less of sharpens to save a good chunk the tamron.
