With normal use, the caffeine in a Pre Workout will not cause palpitations or heart rhythm disturbances. This can occur when athletes take a dose that is much too high or have underlying heart problems. That is why you should always use a Pre Workout with common sense. If you have an allergy to something, go to your doctor first or look carefully at the label.

Pre workout for whatever you want to call it is a drug. A stimulant to be clearer. A mix of stimulants to be even more clear. People are going to want more and more to chase the high. Until they can't get it and move on to steroids. Basically a gateway drug for the gym
With normal use (i.e 1 serving per workout) you will be %100 fine. Just don't go overboard, and if the caffeine doesn't hit the same after a while, take a break from it for a bit, and don't take more than the recommended serving.
There is truth to what she said, caffeine is obviously bad for you (the unnatural amount in these drinks and supplements) it can cause people including myself, to have panic attacks, and people who are not affected like that, will slowly build up a tolerance and end up consuming more than they should, if you take the recommended amount and take weeks with no caffeine, it is completely normal, and as of “long term effects” there is nothing that you can eat or drink that DOESN’T have long term effects. Don’t skip leg day

There are thousands of different preworkouts with different ingredients and dosages. To come out and say ALL preworkouts are bad for you AND they decrease strength AND performance is simply outrageous. She could go over ingredients and dosages and make claims while observing clinical studies but she’s not. She’s just another social media doctor that hasn’t got a clue what she’s talking about (or is just reeeeeeally bad at explaining what she’s talking about)

Cute studies that caffeine before a workout “decreases” those areas you mentioned. I am standing by with studies that conclude the opposite.
I used to take pre work out every other day when working out for 3 years. I was all about it, until one night I felt my heart skip a beat and felt a sharp pain. Threw away all my pre work outs the next day.
Having preworkout is better for you than drinking any kind of energy drink. Everything in moderation

It literally happened to me once, when I felt so intense pain in my chest, and had to stop working out, that's why I prefer pump pre workout more over stim ones...but can u tell me is it bad to take pre workout in Angina or is it normal?
Use 3-5 times per week. Weigh 69.5kg-72kg. Squat 159kg, deadlift 159kg, bench 103-113 (depending on level of bulk). When used in moderation, is no more dangerous than strong coffee. Key is to use as early in the day as possible (60-90 minutes after waking but ideally before noon and never in the evening/night.

Running on the treadmill or jumping for 10 secounds, doesn't require caffine...
Deadlifts 400kgs
Benching 200kgs
Squating 300kgs require caffine...
Soo unless you lift these, well you're a women soo let's just say 100kg bench, if u don't lift this then u have no right to tell us what to do unless there genuine scientific proof..

I don’t drink coffee and I use a pre workout called Ibiza Juice that has 250mg in one scoop. I don’t exceed that dosage and I take pre-workout twice a week. Every time I finish a tub of pre-workout I don’t take it for at least three to six weeks am I safe or should I just stop period? I’m happy to stop once I finish this tub, I’ve never taken pre workout before and I’ve always had good numbers in the gym before it too.
I think your safe I take optimum nutrition pre workout with 175mg I only go to the gym twice a week and take it each time I definitely would not take it everyday or every other day.
what shes talking abt rn just seems like having caffeine in high doses frequently is bad. i dont think its actually the other things in pre workout. as long as under 400mg of caffeine a day can keep u caffeinated id say what ur doing is perfectly fine! esp since u only do it twice a week. 2.5 cups of coffee is around 250mg of caffeine and that is very normal.

I take woke af and it works really good for me. If i drink a cup of coffee, I'll take half a scoop. Don't over do it and listen to body. Don't take a full dose of pre if you didnt sleep good the night before.
I personally think she's correct I'm continuously using pre workout for 1 year and at first it was really really amazing I became a beast and continuously set pr but after 6 months now I'm addicted to it and it doesn't give that much kick at all. Maybe just 3-4% improvement at Max

Solution: only take 1 or 2 times a week, all problems solved, including tolerance.
Yeah I take it when I train which is two or three times a week.. and I find stim free is ok. The stim one makes me dehydrate really bad

If you’re seeing downsides to pre workout i advise you to take a few extra scoops

Yeah, if you take 4 times the recommended dose. It also depends which pre workout you take, like Ghost which really only has caffeine, compared to Bucked Up which has caffeine and deer antler velvet that contains grown hormones

300 mg caffeine is a PROBLEM!?! Does NOT work with me. 2000 mg(2 grams Taurine),6000 mg(6 grams Citrulline malate),3 grams Beta Alanine + Fenugreek capsules(3 grams),B vitamins & creatine (5 grams) ONLY on days I work out (3 days,rest on day 4,workout days 5 & 6,rest on day 7). STILL trying to get garter snake veins in forearms(attempting farmer & suit case carry,wrist curls for blood flow) for (attempt) 200 lb bench press 1 set MAX(10-12 reps or UNTIL forearms give OUT.)& dumbbell lower chest decline press 2 set MAX(10-12 reps per set at 70 lbs per arm RIGHT AFTER barbell bench press!).
I take a celcius during my workout. When im done with my workout and i have not finished it, i throw the remaining away. I dont drink coffee on my workout days. But on my rest day, i have a cafe con leche 😊

Unfortunately I had heart palpitations and had to go to the emergency department.
I use pre workout almost every day. I take a single serving of 250mg caffeine, and have cut out all other forms. I don’t drink coffee anymore. I think I’ll be fine. I never exceed 400mg on the rare occasion that I have a coke or something like that with a meal
I just had 600mg of Preworkout (first time ever trying it) and i feel terrible. In my 20 years of life ive never felt this bad

Ive been taking preworkouts on and off for years and I still have loads of strength, the thing is the body gets immune to it quickly and you gotta up your dosages so i suggest micro dosing at 1st the more immune you get the less the preworkout has an effect so then you take a break for 3weeks to a month don't be on it for more than 3 months straight then it becomes bad and also drink atleast 2litres more water than you do to flush it out as well as it enhances it

It ruined my heart it the long run. I used it before the gym daily for many, many years. Got addicted so bad I used it even outside of the gym. Had a heart attack and still have heart issues to this day.

I started off with Hyde 250mg, pretty high stim for starters. Dropped down to 200mg (Abe) for a while, but then it kinda stopped working from me, moved on to pump focused muscle core for a while 300mg caffene, now I use high stim mostly, like Phsycotic hellboy, 300mg, might take yeah buddy next 450mg
