Aren't you afraid if you put two of those in the YS640 you would restrict the air flow and cause a back burn into the hopper? I like my air flowing unrestricted through the flue pipe.
I add warm water as soon as I take the food out of the cast iron. It soaks while we eat, then it washes easily when we're finished eating. Heat up after rinsing and re-oil to get that season on it.
Thank you. Yeah that’s pretty much what I did but I did not soak it just ran some hot water over it with a brush. Then dried oiled and heated in the oven
Hey Joe! It's about time Yoder came out with this accessory! I did this Mod in my Traeger 2 years ago! One thing I would say about this set up...... the griddle may be too far away from the fire pot??? Maybe get an infrared thermometer to see if it's up to the the high temp you want first? None the less........I think this is an Awesome set up and more people will be doing this in the future! Metal On! \m/
Infrared thermometer is a must imo. I don't have this griddle yet, but I will. I know with the heat deflector my normal grill grates get damn near 1000°. So I don't think the distance from the fire will be an issue.
Definitely a nice addition to the cooker but there's no place for the grease to go if your doing a bunch of bacon or burgers. Awesome video and thx for sharing.
Didn't know they made that griddle to
Heavy duty looks 👌 nice great for fajitas
brilliant content Southern Coastal Cooking ™. I shattered that thumbs up on your video. Always keep up the great work.
You can use your grill grates to cover the other side
Yes you can

If you are doing something really greasy they suggest that you use the other side with the raised ridges
Are you still doing your low carb diet?
Yes sir that’s why I was saying we eat the fajita meat over rices cauliflower
SOLID
