Things that weren't mentioned:
-The new cinematics were still beings advertised as being in the game even after Blizzard anounced that they were never coming.
-They cut down on the number of supported screen resolutions.
-Some game settings (like key bindings) need to be set in a text file.
-There were massive numbers of game crashes until they fixed it with a patch a week after release.
-There were massive numbers of game plays were people would automatically lose as soon as the game starts until they fixed it with a game patch a week after release.
-Any player on the forum that mentioned any kind of bug (or anything that made the game look bad) would get banned.
-Any player that would help anyone navigate the convoluted refund system would get banned.
-Some reviews mentioned that the new graphics system can make it hard to tell where the walkable ground ends on a few spots.
-Some of the new graphics improvements are only visible when you zoom in all the way, which is basically forfeiting when playing an RTS game.
Damn, that suck. What the hell happen to Blizzard this day.

Its a heavy burden to follow in the steps of the greatness that Mike Morhaime, Chris Metzen and David Brevik made possible, and then theres the current state of affairs: Activision's Blizslaved who just pays asian sweatshops to make bootleg art for their legacy titles, cuz they got no direction in art or gameflow, other than money.

to be honest, if blizzard really want money, if they do this reforged seriously, they will get a TON OF MONEY, and this game along with its genre will start shining and rising again to the 2000's child . but they seems like they dont want our MONEY, so yeah, they deserve those negativity comments. @@Healthy_Kawk It's the stupid 12 year olds, online gaming and casual MF's that ruin the industry...and asian mobile games... why should they spend millions to make a great game, when the average 12 year old MF just plays it 8 hours and then loses interest... or just wants the same reskinned run around and shoot each other in the face and get xp no matter how bad you are game his parents bought him the last 2 years...
Back in the 90's, an online game was really hard to make, due to the fast pace and humans beeing way faster then PC's, but since the mid 2000's these problems dissolved into thin air. Look at how most modern online games are, they are basically simpler versions of old SP games... but make a lot more money.

in the original game his death animation was just him exploding and turning into a bunch of bats before his soul leaves his body. good times
WoW retconned the lore like three times now. In the WC3 canon he died in that scene.
Technically Malganis's Soul was on frostmoune... then now is maybe free?

Demons being pretty much immortal, his soul managed to survive and returned to the distorded nether to be resurrected, allowing him to return in WoTLK.

At this point, I'm glad the 'The Lost Vikings' will continue to be "lost" so that Blizzard won't have the chance to corrupt them.
I'm also happy they're not constantly being adjusted in Heroes of the Storm.
But imagine if they would just do it right.
They're making them into a mobile game. Activision were asked this directly. They said they are looking into ways to expand all their IPs from games to shows, movies and mobile gaming, they added on that much of their beloved older franchises will return as well. I doubt that means we will get another great game and most likely we will see them in the mobile gaming. Why? Lost Vikings is really only remembered by older gamers like you and I. Same with games like Golden Axe. It was an awesome game and franchise but they wont remaster it cause noome really remembers it or is that into it anymore. So next best thing would be to do what sega did and port most of their older games like golden Axe, sonic, vector man, etc to mobile and then also compliment them with bad to ok to decent actual mobile games.
Also if you hadn't heard Activision years back was rumored to be in talks to make a CoD show animated or love action. Well recently it was leaked that netflix has a deal to make a CoD anime and Overwatch Cartoon. This is, imo, not that bad of an idea. Both are pretty cinematic from CoDs story and cutscenss to Overwatch in its lore and those animated shorts. So I really do think Netflix could pull it off. They do put out a bunch of just random shows and cancel them....however their cartoon and anime side dont see as many cancellations as others and see longer air time. Castlevania and Voltron are both really good and still going, expect voltron which is in its finale I think.

Yes and no. It was great, but not necessarily worth it in the long run. It was friends with people, that you knew and loved, all over the country, all over the world. Those are cherished memories.
I played for free for 14 days, but it still was not great.
I was a warrior from WotLK to BfA. Good memories.
But no king rules forever.
It had its moments. WotLK was good, MoP was entertaining, and Legion was a satisfying conclusion to the series.
I didn't really like original vanilla, but it was better than the competition.

THATS how you remaster a game, AND for those who don’t like the changes anyway, they have a separate client! It’s like that company did everything blizzard didn’t when they renewed AOE lol
Plus, if you make your own map/campaign in editor, they wont just "legaly Yoink!" it. Creative fans are welcomed in arms of AoE, while ripped apart by Warcraft: Reforged claws
Typhon hmm, I’ve not had the same experience, hence the above comment. It’s not buggy at all for me and doesn’t lag, especially compared to WC Reforged. Sorry you haven’t had a good experience.
@Typhon both Def. Editions run perfectly on my £700 budget rig. You sure we're the idiots?
@Typhon it works so smooth even on Linux. No issues.
Aoe2 DE is by all means far from a bugfree game but compared to wc3 reforged every game looks good.
Aoe2 DE has horrible pathfinding (trebuchets are the worst), units glitching over unpassable terrain in several campaigns (e.g.4th mission of the berbers campaign), units forgetting targeted attackorders after 1-2 secs or ignoring them completely, workers blocking each others movement when carring resources back (especially lumberjacks), horrible targetpriorities (closer targets have a higher prio than a castle or a tower when giving the moveattackorder) and those are just some of the reoccuring problems i've seen throught my games
Now after this I would like to see Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.

I doubt Xi have anything to do with it, but many American companies lives on Chinese investors to survive now :) or they decided to partner with Chinese companies. Even big name brands are doing it now or they are trying to work with Chinese companies to make their product legal like Amazon, Apple, Google, UA-cam, Facebook and so on. The problem is not China, the problem is your own people who got greedy and wanted more business, so they want more revenue by trying to open their market in China. The population in China generate more revenue for them than the USA multply by 3 times.
Greed is the real problem.
I actually really like the art design behind reforged.
Now i can't relive my nostalgic and awesome memories of me going home from school and just chill and enjoy some custom campaigns from warcraft 3's reign of chaos and the frozen throne. I miss those days and now i can't even get those memories back :")

Blizzard tried to reinvent the wheel for the Warcraft 3 Reforged title.
The meaning of the word "Reforged," is the opposite of the meaning of the worth "reinvented".

I still remember when Project Revolution (the Starcraft community mod for WC3) was close to being finished, then POOF, it was lawyered out of existence, and POOF, by some crazy form of Cash Grab magic, SC2 was on the way.

What they should have done was come up with Warcraft 4. In it increase the pop cap to at least 200 and ad the Naga and the Blood Elfs as playing factions. Also they can link the story to WOW but in an RTS fashion.

This video should have been 1 whole minute of talking about the importance of shoulder armor. Seriously, not even the building have been spared, everyone gets the shoulder treatment (tree buildings, light infantry, rangers, ghosts, cement crypts) --- some units may not be as equal as others in terms of class or mobility, and some units may not be units at all, but buildings, but hogfajadam we gon'give everyone shum nice shoulders.

The best thing acti-blizz could possibly do right now is separate. Then blizz needs to make a heart felt public apology, tear up the new ULA, restore the old game client, issue refunds for every single purchase of WC3R and re-release it the way it was supposed to be in the first place. If they did this, they would be the most beloved and revered game creator the world has ever seen. It would not only completely fix their PR, but they’d see the best sales numbers they’ve ever seen.. by 2021, 2020 is pretty much unrecoverable.

I think the worst thing about Warcraft III Reforged is that you literally cannot play the old version anymore now. It forces you to "upgrade" to Reforged when you launch it

Time for a metacritic update.
Its February 20. In a week, Warcraft 3 deforged will have been out for about a month.
In that time, it's accumulated a 0.5 user score out of just over 29k user reviews.
Fallout 76 currently has a 2.7 out of about 6k users reviews, just to give you a sense of scale on how horrible this launch was.
The part where he said "jump online and get massacred by people who have been playing 18 years straight" lmao that's me. I'm the 18 year guy
I mean... I like WC3 Reforged. The graphics look good, almost nobody bothered with automated tournaments anyway, and other features are on the way. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but the outcry is extremely overblown and this honest trailer is just trying to ride the hate wave.
I agree...but I doubt Blizzard could blink without people starting a hate bandwagon.

I'm so happy I found my old jewel case in a box when I was clearing out old stuff from a back room. I installed my old copy the same week reforged came out. The only annoying part is that I have to use their launcher now.
