With all due respect, I’m a Funkateer from the early 70’s this is the best live version of Maggot Brain that I’ve ever heard, Chester Stand Up 🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾
This one is amazing with more added drums(whoever is playing those drums is killn it) but the original with Eddie Hazel just puts me on a WHOLE different level!!
1993 live in Japan, just a few months after Eddie passed. This is a tribute to Eddie. Michael played some of the licks a little closer to the way Eddie played it as a commemoration to his fallen brother. You can hear the RIP Eddie all over this rendition, especially as it builds up towards the end. Yes a damn good version, but that's the reason why this one is so special. Thanks for posting this.
An extremely beautiful version of a truly Magical piece of music. Continues to effect people on very profound levels. I have such a memorable story from my first experience getting Maggot Brain'd 🙏
Daydreaming! Smooth Sailing! My entire life flashed before me! I see my mother and all of my other deceased relatives and friends! This is a narcotic! A narcotic trip and a crack cocaine blast! A free base high! A microdot! Ecstasy! Some very good Reefer! The Holy Ghost! Awesome as hell and damn sho enjoyable! Good to your earhole!!!! Boom Shaka Laka
I am interested in acquiring any bootlegs you have. I am building... a collection of sorts. No one young enough to care is archiving this shit and anyone old enough to care is probably content with having seen it. So would be much appreciated.
