Simply the best guitar solo of all time. I was lucky enough to see George Clinton & The P Funk All Stars at the Brixton Academy around 89 at the time it was voted in the top 10 concerts of all time in Rolling Stone magazine
As i understand it, Eddie only played it this way once, in the studio for the album. All Eddie's subsequent performances of this song were improvised. Mike learned the studio version note for note and performed it live for the band from then on. Eddie was a brilliant artist. He was also a tortured soul and he had his vices. His vices were on the scale of his artistic ability, which unlike most of us, was legendary.

Along with Mr. Eddie Hazel’s version and the one included on the ep from the ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE album this is definitely one of the greatest performances of MAGGOT BRAIN on film or vinyl.

Because it's from a funk band it dosn't get the praise it deserves
