Don’t worry, that’s only an issue with the shovel, which isn’t intended to be used as a melee weapon in this game. The other melees such as bayonets, pickaxes, maces, and knives have much quicker and more deliberate animations.
I own all of the series. They are great chill shooters. I play the offline bot matches mainly. Isonzo is the most eye pleasing one but unfortunately they made class progression gated by forced challenges instead of like the previous game where you got advancement based on general performance, weapon use, captures etc.... Because of that, I tend to favor Tannenberg,
I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The last 3 or 4 times I've gone to play there's one available server and it was bots. Literally couldn't play with real people. So it's either that dead or some server algorithm is screwed.
I really enjoy Isonzo, but it is more of a hop in when you're bored kinda game for me. There is not much getting me engaged long term with the title. One thing that is really annoying is that many of the servers seem to be filled with tons of bots, so that fools you into thinking the player base is active. Those games are just silly bot farming.

Picked this up again and had some awesome matches, they are definitely doing great things with the new maps. 10$ is a bargain for this game!

Yeah, some challenges are pretty hard and frustrating.
But can the Italian side unlock a Chef Boyardee outfit, thats what I wanna know.

Time can be an issue. If you're trying to play in the US during the morning, it can be tough, but at night/afternoon, I've had plenty of luck.
HLL has got crazy with all the new players from XBox. Problem is, they are bringing the COD toxic attitudes with them.

I hope they will change the guns sounds though... They're horrible and they sound all the same...
If you look at what they actually sounds like, as in UA-cam videos of people firing those guns, that's exactly what they all sound like
