    Found this video when I needed to replace the cv axles on my 2002 honda civic si. I don't know much about cars, however this videos made it 100% possible to replace the parts. I played this and paused when needed while working on it and and wabam I'm back in business

      @@Undeadek420 They were trying to rob him, It shouldnt be more than 2 hours of labor.. and maybe $200 in parts. so $400 or so.

      Thank you🙂..well that does make the people who do comment like and subscribe that much more meaningful..but yes there is a lot of work that goes into making a video and in the beginning i went through phases where i felt I would just stop making videos cause i wasnt gaining traction.

    I'd like to add- be careful not to pull on the axle too far next the brake hub. You will pull the axle joint apart inside the rubber boot closet to the transmission. Bring the brake hub to the axle and not vice/verse.

    Good, informative video. The only thing I would recommend however, is that if you're going to do any sort of pounding on that balljoint stud that you thread the castle-nut on with the flange facing outward, just about flush. It'll give you a little more surface area to pound on if need be.

Ironically, I just got done replacing the drivers' side CV axle on my 2002 - the procedure is a little less tedious than this thankfully lol. I'd like to thank you on behalf of the thousands of people who have watched this video and didn't bother taking the time to thank you for saving them boatloads of money.

    2010 civic 5spd, mint, low miles. Low humming noise but not wheel bearings. Could it possibly be the bearing on the drive shaft? I read about tranny bearings but, I’m not getting any issues / sounds/ vibes changing gears. Humming persists if I throw it in neutral when driving.

      What brand of cv axles did you use? Anything you recommend? I seen some on Amazon,but. It shure they will hold

      @@yandel11210 well my friend brought the part and he got it from autozone..i do like the local ones for the warranty..if u have an issue with it they have a limited lifetime so its free for a couple years then after that its just a small percentage of the price..so it works out great if u plan on keeping the car for a while

      @@backyardchevy328 oh ok,thank you,I will look into Autozone to see Wich ones they have.I think my cv axle on driver side went out,when I drive of it does cracking noise.

    What about the transmission seal on the transmission to the CV axle? Shouldn't you replace that since you are already there? You don't want to come back later and do it, do you?

    hi need help after i install the axle in honda civic 94 manual the car not running the axle little loosening almost half inch but the wheels didnt run look like is not fit perfect or axle shorter my honda is manual any solution thanks

      Yea if its not in completely on the transmission side it wont drive..so youll want to make sure its fully inserted on that end, sometimes it may be hard to get it completely in

      Ouch that must of been really tight? Did the nut have the indent from when they stake it, that may have kept it from loosening

      @@backyardchevy328 nope, i was going to take out the axles so I can take the engine and trans out but I just took the engine out disconnected the upper control arm and tie rod, then I disconnected the axles from the trans and removed the trans

      It doesn't wanna go fully in? They sometimes can be stubborn as long as u matched em up and they look similar it should go in just line it up and hold it up against the transmission and use the momentum of the rear part of axle to tap it in

      Yeah I recently did a stud replacement I had to pull the hub out I pressed the hub back in but now I can't get the axle back in be stuck for 3days lol

      @@benjaminperez6358 does it look damaged at all on the end that slides in? If it looks fine try a lil grease on the end...are u trying to get it into the transmission or back on the the wheel hub?

      No damage on it I put grease and nothing I'm trying to get it in the hub I line the teeth up and everything still seem to not get it in

      @@benjaminperez6358 hub isnt new though right? U just replaced the studs? Any chance the hub is damaged on the inner part of teeth? If its greased up, it should go in as long as its lined up..unless hub is new and doesnt match but seems its the same hub and axle so they shoulf go back together

      @@PinkDivaEmpress difference in steering knuckle and lower control arm..so the sway bar will attach differently..but they do vary based on if dx ex etc.

      Backyard Chevy the strut fork obviosly 01-05 only have 2 pinch bolt on the strut and u can remote the entire strut right away, as you can see hes removing the 2 bolts from the fork which will require time
