And if you want to make it more like an actual Big Mac, get the Double Quarter Pounder with Big Mac sauce added. Or if you really care about the club slice, then just get a Big Mac and ask for the QP patties on it.
I know the exact McDonald's you visited. I live in the same town and work for another business you visited there. Will not be revealing further for privacy reasons but it was an honor to meet you good sir.
I worked at McD's decades ago. After I started working there, I figured out you could always order something different than standard for your sandwich, and it would be made fresh. Back then, all the sandwiches were made ahead of time and kept in a warming area for up to 10 min. They were thrown out if not sold within 10 min. McD's would not allow microwave ovens in their stores for many years after microwaves came out. Now they have microwaves and cook te meat ahead of time. When you order a sandwich, they heat the meat in a microwave while putting the rest of the sandwich together. That's why the sandwich quality is degraded so much from where they used to be.
This is completely incorrect! Food is kept in warming trays for a total of 10 minutes only & thrown away after that time. As stated by someone else, only the burritos are microwaved.

In-N-Out is great in that they haven't really raised prices like other fast food places, but the lines have gotten even longer. My lunch break is almost over by the time I'm getting my burger. It's worth it if you have the time. I always go in and order, never drive thru.

When I worked for McDonald's in the late 70s early 80s McDonald's wouldn't do that, but when I made my shift meal I WOULD 😂 its nice to know they will do that now.
I worked at Mcdonalds briefly in the late 90s and I'd get a cheese burger with mayo and no mustard for my break and they'd look at me like I was nuts every time and now you can get burgers all over the place with mayo on them! It amused me every time to see the expressions when id ask for that.😂😂

@@MichaelRei99 I'm just a conservative trying to live in a liberal world. You know they have to pay everyone $18 an hour. Maybe we can invent a pizza making robot.
As someone who worked at mcdonalds as a teenager. The meat for any burger is cooked and threw in a warmer that keeps it hot for up to 30 minutes. This is per the manual. However many establishments that do not care will have meat for well past that 30 minute freshness
Yeah but like you said you worked at McDonald's as a teenager. Some things do change over time. M The quarter pounders aren't frozen anymore and you can tell the difference between that any any other burgers.
@BB-rm3xi we had fresh QP patties when i worked there. They're cooked and thrown in a warmer the same as the others. The only way to get a truly fresh patty is to ask for it with no salt. Then they have to cook one to put on your burger that minute, so its unseasoned.
I currently work at McDonald’s and the quarter meat is now cooked only when ordered and never frozen so when someone orders a quarter pounder it will always be fresh. As for the smaller patties, they are kept in a warming cabinet and wasted after 10 minutes
Former mcds employee here: The patty used for the big Mac is the same patty used for all other burgers. Because it's used in pretty much the whole menu, they cook it several patties at a time and store it in a warming tray. The lesser used meats are cooked when ordered, because they can only sit in the warming tray for so long before we have to toss it. If you're in a small town, chances are the quarter pounder isn't sold that often, therefore they don't cook the patty till its ordered. But this tip is not gonna work in a larger town 😅
They changed the rules, and the quarter pounder now is only cooked when ordered. It's also a different type of pattie then the others, the others are as you said stored, which is why they are dry and gross.
I have done this for years. No matter what burger I get, I have them leave off the ketchup and mustard and put the Mac sauce on it. Some restaurants charge for the sauce.
I'm in the UK and they don't put salt on their fries at all, you really realise how poisonous mcdonalds is when you don't have the salt and sauce to mask it
So that is why they always make me wait. It is because they are making the Quarter Pound patties fresh. I will be in a drive thru line and have to wait for Minivans and SUV's, then they get to me a single person that ordered a McDonald's hamburger (Quarter Pounder w/cheese) a fry and a drink and they ask me to wait in a parking space. It was always frustrating. Now I know why. Thanks for the tip and the extra information. Cheers.
At any fast food place you just ask can you please drop it fresh and they'll make whatever your asking fresh you just wait a few minutes but it's well worth it!
You can just order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese & Say,, Make it like a "Mac" & they will..The Quarter Pounder is the ONLY Burger meat that they DON'T freeze = Fresher.
I was a McDonald's manager back in the day. I'd replace the big Mac patties with Angus patties and dump a 100pc fryer basket of nuggs right in a bag. Oh and it was free. Wouldn't eat there today if you paid me the price of the meal.
@michaelmaxim7207 I don't remember how much the basket held but it was way more than 20. I usually cooked a basket full of chicken selects. No reason to lie about it; actually, I'm kinda upset i worked there because I told myself as a kid that I'd never work in fast food lol. Probabaly the worst job I had and I was a NYC trucker driver and an ER nurse if you beleive that
You must be smoking way too much pot! Or bumped your head, that’s just not how fast food works Your Angus burger would take too long, I don’t think they even use real beef Or they would make a big deal about it‼️‼️ Your 🤡🤪 HIGH‼️
You did all that and the auditors never found out? You need to come work for one of those three letter agencies for your skills on keeping things on the DNL.
Now I like this idea! I have always preferred the quarter pounder patty but love the big Mack sauce. I know what I’m ordering next time I go. I always think this way. My fav bbq restaurant makes this wonderful homemade bread for their poboys. I want that bread on my chopped beef bbq sandwich. Why don’t they think outside the box this way!! I would if I owned a restaurant!
They now have the Double Big Mac on the menu that has 4 patties (2 and 2). The burger looks huge. I've not tried it but I think it's a temporary offering right now.
Mind you I havent worked at a McDonald's in over 14 years, however....From what I remember ALL the meats are precooked before an order...meaning....say you order a double cheeseburger or big Mac as stated in the video. The 10:1 patties placed on your burger that you just ordered were pre cooked on the grill PRIOR to you ordering it. Then the patties are placed in the UHC tray (giant warmer). The patties finish cooking in there until reaching 160 degrees and then are kept at that temp until they are either placed on a burger or thrown out due to no longer being fresh and delicious. Now the Quarter Pounder patties which are 4:1 were cooked and assembled onto the burgers the same exact way to a T. The only difference...the patty was a little bigger and went on a different menu item. As for the "fresher" "better beef patty"...if you saw how it started before being grilled you wouldnt have thought that. The pattys come shipped to the restaurant in large plastic lined boxes. When you hold one in your hand it looks and feels like a thin pink hockey puck rather than a scrumptious beef hamburger patty. The patties are laid down in rows and cooked under high heat for a couple of minutes. Nothing fresher and more delicious about that lol. Now if that changed anytime since then I could be entirely wrong today which i have no problem accepting if thats the case. If every single McDonald's had to cook to order one specific item and no others it would eat into the speed and efficiency of the assembly line style process they have followed for over 70 years.
Thanks Kent, I'll give it a try! If you really want a hot fresh Big Mac, just tell them that you'd like fresh patties right off the grill they'll do it, you just might have to wait a bit longer. I also ask for fresh fries. 🇨🇦
Not sure what everyone's complaining about regards to cost, but here in California some of the McDonald's have been having a deal where you can get 2 big macs, 2 ten piece chicken mcnuggets, and 2 med fries for 21.99. They had this last year and never changed the price even after the min wage increase.
I can cook two 1 pound NY strip steaks from Costco for that $22 and include sautéed asparagus, mushrooms and a tomato. All cooked in much healthier coconut oil as opposed to MCDs canola motor oil.

In-N-Out is great in that they haven't really raised prices like other fast food places, but the lines have gotten even longer. My lunch break is almost over by the time I'm getting my burger. It's worth it if you have the time. I always go in and order, never drive thru.
👉 To a person that *loathes* onions, that burger sounds absolutely disgusting!
🤢🤢🤢🤮
@@jerradwilson It is faster if you walk in. Our problem is, my wife has trouble walking and the Handicap spots are at a premium.
When we lived in the SF Bay Area of CA, our go to Burger place was NATIONS.
Double deluxe quarter pounder with bacon and big mac sauce is always a win
that puppy just watching every bite! :D
The Lord must be coming back soon. I never thought I'd see Cowboy Kent at a McDonald's...
Mr. Rollins, I think you are exactly what America is. Someone trying to make things better and helping others. From Upstate South Carolina, this fan says, "Thank you."
👌💯
Lol sure
Nice compliment. Unusual to see a nice comment here on the death net
America is not WOKE or supporters of BLM.
I feed my enemies McDonalds.
Oh you wanted extra sauce? Ok, $95.99 at the next window please
That dog when he starts eating 😂😂😂 he tracks that burger perfectly with his head right before that cowboy says , now that to me is better than a big Mac
Your pup looks like my mini schnauzer!💕
Love the fur baby watching you ❤️.. He's ready for it...
No Kent, you've gotta get the DOUBLE QPC "Big Mac Style"!
The way he says Maaaack-donalds just made my day😅
I admire you in the work that you do. It’s so hard to believe that you would eat in McDonald’s.
It amused me every time to see the expressions when id ask for that.😂😂
@@gleefullystruckbyccandtlos if you have time to lean....
@@gleefullystruckbyccandtlosI used to order my double cheeseburgers either with only onions and Mac sauce, or only onions add mayo. Loved 'em both ways.
Another awesome hack is having them add cheese and tomato to a McChicken.
Just wondering, did the dogs get his nuggets?
That would be dogecide.
Awww I’m sure the pupper did tho, he’s a kind man ❤✌️👍
@katybug6572 yes, he seems very kind, agreed.
Eating his nuggets lol lol
Really interesting! I’ve only ever played with the reed a little lower than the mouthpiece, so I’m definitely curious to try out your setup.
If you just walk in and go on the touch screen kiosk you can customize anything you want or on the MCD app.
Took the two grandkids a month ago. $56.00!!! I told the girl that I could have gotten 2 large pizzas and cheese fries and had leftovers.
$56!??! What the hell did you buy?
@@arekusu. 2 Big Mac meals, a cheeseburger happy meal and an extra cheeseburger. That's all. It's ridiculously expensive now. Tonight I bought 2 large pizzas and 2 salads for $48.
You must buy some expensive pizza!
@@MichaelRei99 I'm just a conservative trying to live in a liberal world. You know they have to pay everyone $18 an hour. Maybe we can invent a pizza making robot.
Wowsa, no doubt! Could have grabbed a couple nice steaks from the store and tossed them on the grille with all the fixins.
My hack is going to Burger King, Hardee's, or Wendy's instead. McDonalds' burgers don't hit the spot like the other chains does.
Still!?! That was true when I stopped eating McDonalds 40 years ago! They STILL can’t make a tasty burger!
Wendy’s where it’s at!!! 👩🏼🦰
Oh yeah I'm trying it...the quarter pounder is my go to...and I love the sauce...I never thought to ask for this....thank you
Quarter pounder dressed like a Mac, they will do the rest
As someone who worked at mcdonalds as a teenager. The meat for any burger is cooked and threw in a warmer that keeps it hot for up to 30 minutes. This is per the manual. However many establishments that do not care will have meat for well past that 30 minute freshness
Yeah but like you said you worked at McDonald's as a teenager. Some things do change over time. M
The quarter pounders aren't frozen anymore and you can tell the difference between that any any other burgers.
@BB-rm3xi we had fresh QP patties when i worked there. They're cooked and thrown in a warmer the same as the others. The only way to get a truly fresh patty is to ask for it with no salt. Then they have to cook one to put on your burger that minute, so its unseasoned.
@@OGBNCSR I heard of the no salt trick for fries but that doesnt always work cause half the time they add no salt anyway.
@BB-rm3xi see kids nowadays just dont care. When i worked there, the customer experience was key.
I currently work at McDonald’s and the quarter meat is now cooked only when ordered and never frozen so when someone orders a quarter pounder it will always be fresh. As for the smaller patties, they are kept in a warming cabinet and wasted after 10 minutes
Former mcds employee here:
The patty used for the big Mac is the same patty used for all other burgers.
Its called...STAGING cabinet...with 20 mins. timer...
In Australia the quarter pounder patty is DOUBLE the thickness of a big mac one
It is everywhere, that's literally what they said. The big Mac patty is the same as the cheeseburger patty. @@OffGridInvestor
Is the quarter pounder patty 100% beef?😮
Dog looking like they forgot his nuggets lol
I have done this for years. No matter what burger I get, I have them leave off the ketchup and mustard and put the Mac sauce on it. Some restaurants charge for the sauce.
If you use their app you can bypass the local charge.
We used to have them put Big Mac sauce on double cheese burgers back in the day.
Sometimes I just got the cheeseburgers and combined it and request the sauce too
You even ordered the deluxe. I miss the days when that was just the way a hamburger was made.
I usually order the double cheese with the Big Mac sauce on it
that is the first time I ever heard anybody say McDonald's was a good eating
Want fresh cooked fries just ask fries with no salt works at any fast food joint just carry your own salt or favorite seasoning
Yea
Good to know as I find fries are over seasoned as it is.
I'm in the UK and they don't put salt on their fries at all, you really realise how poisonous mcdonalds is when you don't have the salt and sauce to mask it
I didn't think cowboys liked MacDaniels
The pain in his voice when he said good eating, lol
How the fuck does doug stanhope look so good with his lifestyle?! Lmao love that dude hes a sweetheart and fucking funny comedian
It works the same way with getting the mcdouble dressed like a big Mac.
That dog sure looks hungry.
I thought Kent would be the last guy you would see at a McDonald's
He gets home cooks it better. Great cook
You can just order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese & Say,, Make it like a "Mac" & they will..The Quarter Pounder is the ONLY Burger meat that they DON'T freeze = Fresher.
Its all frozen
They don't refrigerate regular patties either. Says it right on the case.
Love this guy he needs more followers always praying for you guys...remember country never dies.....your friend yeshua 🎉
Puppers got jipped.
Mack Donalts 😆 🤣 love it.
Maj wants his bite of the burger.
If bringing a dog please get a plain burger patty for them and let us see they got it..😢
I love when Jane says really. She’s a card
Love your dog!!
My favorite hack to . Just drive by to with out stopping.
I was a McDonald's manager back in the day. I'd replace the big Mac patties with Angus patties and dump a 100pc fryer basket of nuggs right in a bag. Oh and it was free. Wouldn't eat there today if you paid me the price of the meal.
100pc nuggets in 1 fryer basket? I think you might be lieing.
Or bumped your head, that’s just not how fast food works
Your Angus burger would take too long, I don’t think they even use real beef
Or they would make a big deal about it‼️‼️
Your 🤡🤪 HIGH‼️
You did all that and the auditors never found out? You need to come work for one of those three letter agencies for your skills on keeping things on the DNL.
@@papanam4267 or his skills in lying.
Lol. Never thought I would see you at McDonalds. Thanks for the tip.
This is sound advice when you are out there on the dusty trail, all out of beans and no rabbits to catch.
I don't know how much longer I'll be alive, but I doubt I'll ever go to a McDonald's again. 😊
Another hack. Order the spicy chicken and have them sub big mack sauce for the mayo...yummy and cheap!
I always loved the way country folk say McDonald's. They say Mac Donald's lol.
Do they sell Big Mac's or Big Mic's? 😉
The man still enjoys a McDonald's every now and then.
They now have the Double Big Mac on the menu that has 4 patties (2 and 2). The burger looks huge. I've not tried it but I think it's a temporary offering right now.
There’s one thing worse than 2 patties. That’s 4 patties. Yuk
A better tip is never eat mcdonald's
Agree. I dont even consider this food. Im actually disappointed in him for eating that crap.
" Warmed Up "
I didn't know temperature had a direction
That’s absolutely genius
Had McDonald's ever put out a release that it is 100% beef?
They always avoid the questions
Hell no that's a soy patty all the way
