Sorry for your loss, Kent. I lost my beloved beagle of 18 years over 25 years ago and I think about that little rascal all the time. He was my best friend for many years, and losing him was like losing a child. My prayers go out to you, my friend. I hope the sadness passes quickly.

Lost my dog last august. Hadn’t cried a tear since my mom died over Christmas break in high school. I cried my eyes out for weeks after my dog died, still to this day I can’t watch any of the videos I have of him without tearing up.
I had a Lab/Dalmatian I got as a puppy in 03'. Passed 10 years ago. He ran across a huge highway one time and got hit by two cars. Spent 3 hours trying to find him walking around the neighborhood (distraught, impatient but determined to find the guy. Asked around about his whereabouts to what felt like 75 times). Thankfully, the police found him and took him in temporarily until I found out he was there. So glad I was able to find him, but he needed a cast for his front left leg. I got him used/trained him to letting me know when he had to go out to do his business. I CARRIED that dog to the backyard and the front of the house and sidewalk for months to do so until he recovered some and regained some stability (which he did, though his leg didn't heal as straight but he was able to walk again), and I'd gladly do it again. He was a beautiful and gentle, loving dog who loved kids too and was well mannered. Close to my heart, haven't replaced him since and not sure I'd ever will.

Prayers for ya and Ruidoso. Two times I've heard a cowboy is allowed to cry, the first is the birth of his child, the second is the passing of his dog. Fly high, Bonehead.

I'm 73 and doing the same ,but believe GOD is taking really good care of them until we see them again !!. I just lost my little buddy a month ago and still trying to cope. 12 years wasn't near long enough
70-75 years old seems to be a common age group here, with each one of us is crying like a bunch of babies. It's amazing how these little critters imbed themselves into our heart.
@@ShockwaveZero Get a dog. You're the type of person that should have a dog. Someone who would love them so much. Yes it's heartbreaking when they die, but oh the love and joy they bring to your life, and you to theirs.
I am 80 years old. Believe me I have been down that road many times in my life. My heart broke over many a dog, a cat, and a horse. They were all special and had personalities. I have a best buddy now and I hope he outlives me so I don't have to go digging another grave while crying.
I'm also 80 with a best friend who has paws. She's young enough that she'll probably outlive me and I worry about what will happen to her. Although I have plans for my son to take her, I know her life will not be as good as with me. ( he has a family to take care of and won't have the time to spend with her like I have) .
I know that feelin all too well myself sir. Terrible stuff no doubt, its definitely hard to have to do but in the end, you know they wouldnt want noone else layin them to rest. Its hard to do, and you will cry and not want to, but its almost beautiful in a since because when you burry your own, you know theyre cared for and you take more time to do it right, to make it perfect for a lost friend. God bless sir, from ole Carolina.
I've lost several pets as well and I gotta disagree. I'd rather they go first so I could be in their whole life. If you go first, they won't know where you've gone and that can depress them badly.....
Best advice I ever heard associated with this topic was “just take comfort in knowing that you provided the best life for that dog that any dog could ever hope for”
@@CowboyKentRollins Best way to think about these kinds of unfortunate events is without these sad times in our lives we’d never be able to truly acknowledge and appreciate the great moments to their fullest extent
I just lost my best friend last night, Fraiser. It is just me and him that live together here in Oklahoma. Full blood black lab, 12 years old. I don’t work, I’m a full time dog father. I dedicated my entire life to my dog. He was next to my grandma when she died and he was next to me last night when he died. There is nothing that will fill the void of losing your best friend. Fraiser, I love you Bubba. My condolences and God bless us through these difficult times.
I sorrow with you your loss of Bonehead. May our Lord help you heal that dog-sized hole in your heart and find comfort that there are animals in heaven. 😢 Every tear is a profound prayer heard. Great name for a dog, BTW. I know a dog dubbed 'Knuclehead'.
The worst part of having a dog is the final farewell.Three weeks ago we had to let go of our beloved 15 yr. old Beagle Spirit. She too was a rescue.Three years old at the time and a Georgia native. She ruled the roost for the last 12 yrs. and was our " sweet girl". I still cry.Much love to you and prayers for you and your family .
We had a puggle named Ruby for 15 yrs. Beagle pug mix. She was the boss. We all ran around trying to keep her happy. So sad when they go downhill. Before we put her down, she let me rock her for the first time ever. I just rocked and cried.
Your dog lived the life of a camp dog. He got to live among true cowboys. It’s probably the greatest life any man can live and more so for a dog. His spirit runs free now. You filled his life with blessing.
I've had dogs every day of my life since I born in 1983 .I will continue to have a dog every day of my life until they put me in the dirt. The amount of joy and love a dog provides is worth the sadness that comes when they pass on . ❤🐕❤
Cry your eyes out. I'm a 59 year old dude and I did. But Kent, you should know you provided a happy life for your best friend. Just look at him in these vids. He thrived and was happy because of you. And you gave that love right back. A passing always leads to grief. But you have no regrets.
You said it so well‼️ I hope his heart💔heals & in time perhaps he can give another dog a great life⁉️ Won't be the same but they aren't supposed to be, I suppose. Be well Stacie Btw, I'm 58 & this 🎥 made me tear up also ❣️✌️🇨🇱🇺🇸🐾
I had a friend say something that stuck with me. I was telling him how I'm regretting going thru the time when my dog has to be put down and somedays I wish I would have never took him so I wouldn't have to feel that pain of losing him. He told me "your dog was going to be born and live a life whether you took him in or not. He could have ended living a horrible life but you gave him the best life he could have ever ask for and was very very loved". I think we all dread the day when we have to let them go but we have to push our feelings aside and do what's best for them. I can say this, the hurt is real.
61 year old, just the same for me. In 8th grade got me a beagle pup for hunting, she became part of the family. My mom loved that dog. Thank you for this , it brought back many great memories for me
I lost my Dalmatian puppy a few months ago. I thought I could swallow my hurt and pain and be a tough guy. I’ve never cried so much and missed not having him by my side. God bless you and your family. Them critters give unconditional love and it’s such a wonderful thing to be a part of.

I had a beagle for 13 years, loved him more than anything, and he slept with me every night. After he passed I developed severe insomnia. I went to the shelter looking for a beagle the next year and left with a hound dog that everyone else had passed on. She was like a possessed Chucky doll inside a dog, but I slept fantastic every night I had her because she was like a giant beagle. We had to say goodbye about a month after this, and I knew it was coming based on her diagnosis so I'm circling back. Thank you for sharing the Beag with us.

Your story brought tears to my eyes. I’m 65 years old and have had my share of fur babies. I have a sign that says “Dogs leave paw prints on your heart”. I’m sure, if Bonehead could say some final words for you, they would be “Thank you for giving me a great life”.
I said goodbye to my dog of 14 years this on this last memorial day. Im not a soft fellow by any means but that broke me. Its great to have friends like this but its hard to let go.

A small child and a pet's love are the only places in life that we get to experience what God's unconditional love for us is like. There's nothing that hurts more than having to say goodbye to that soul. He had the best life any dog could have because of you. May God bless you and your family.
It’s been over 3 years since I lost my Cooper. I still miss him every day. It takes awhile for me to want another dog. In a year or two I will probably get another. Even though I know I’ll have to go through it again, it will be worth it.
It helps to move on. I know it doesn't always sound nice to say it but I believe that they want us to find other pets to love similarly to them. We can never love our next pet as much as we loved our last one, it's just not possible, but it is possible to love again. So, when you're ready, love again. There are so many wonderful companions out there waiting to be adopted by people like you who'll love them with all your heart. God bless you.

Broke my heart, made me cry. Will miss "The Beag"!

"I have a best buddy now and I hope he outlives me so I don't have to go digging another grave while crying?. I could not agree more sir.......

I just lost my best friend last night, Fraiser. It is just me and him that live together here in Oklahoma. Full blood black lab, 12 years old. I don’t work, I’m a full time dog father. The worst thing about dogs is that you have to see good bye to them.
True as dogs live shorter lives than people do one year to them is like 15 to a person
The hardest thing in the world.
True but it hurts them so much more when it happens to them
I’d hate to pass on and leave one.

That is a lie! All animals are cursed, not as the ones in the millennium that are at total peace with men and beast. They will not be tempted to nip mankind. Christ did not die for bugs, fish, sharks, bears, dogs, cats, bunnies, etc. And one must have the Holy Spirit living within to ascend to heaven. No unclean thing is allowed in heaven. Animals have not been cleansed with the blood of Christ. We only read regarding Christ dying or cursed men, not cursed animals. Yes, animals will be on the earth and they will be peaceable. Flying horses are in heaven though other animals are not mentioned. We cannot assume things or add our own desires to the Word of God. We will have new hearts and no longer a cursed mind that will be all about serving our Savior. No more will we be about what is of the flesh that equals corruption.
Sadly, many so-called Christians want a fleshly heaven of entertainment. Christians have spoken to me of wanting rock bands performing everywhere. So wickedly evil! They act like they will hate God’s lovely harps and only harps are mentioned for playing music.
Why are people so concerned about their animals when Christ died for human beings who are headed for the lake of fire if they do not hear and respond to the Gospel. Christ and the Apostles’ hearts were geared to saving humans, not animals.
The LORD will meet all our renewed longings for Him in the abodes He is preparing for us. Though we will enjoy all His creation in heaven and on earth.
I relish Psalm 104 regarding the truths of creation. These verses speak truth regarding animals today and His care for them: "28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things. 29 When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. 30 When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.”
Jesus Christ is the Master Creator of all and He gives and takes away; Romans 10:9-10 from the Bible: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”

Yes, God even cares about the lowly sparrow. God is infinite love. He truly loves His creatures, even much more than we do.
Another wonderful reason to believe in Jesus is to be reunited with beloved pets, reserved for us in heaven.
"You must be born again to inherit the kingdom of God". Dogs are precious and a good gift from God but they cannot be born again. They are not made in the image of God either like human beings are. They are to enjoy and care for in this life on earth and nothing more.Sorry to ruin your unbiblical fantasy. The bible ie the word of God is the authority.

It’s been over 3 years since I lost my Cooper. I still miss him every day. It takes awhile for me to want another dog. In a year or two I will probably get another. Even though I know I’ll have to go through it again, it will be worth it.
I lost my Tessabear in March. I still cry a few times a month. Rest in peace Toby and Tessa
@@endless3cho honestly the only way I’ve ever been able to move own or feel better is getting another dog…I’ve had three different dogs over the course of about 35 years and I love each and every one immensely because each dog is so different with such a distinct personality
No matter how terrible your day has been they’re always there waiting on ready to shower you with love…honestly there’s been times in my life where my dogs have helped me get thru some really tough times…they truly are man’s best friend
Sorry for your loss. He was definetly a part of you and family. I could not imagine loosing my pup.
Great dog he was
You don't replace a good friend, a good horse, or the best dog in the world. You take them with you always and remember how much they loved you and how much you loved them.
So true
I’m a 71 year old veteran and this made me tear up. God bless you Kent.
I’ve heard it said many times that the only time a dog will break your heart is when they die. I’m a trucker, and I lost my truck pup last year. He was a rescued Jack Russell. We traveled well over a million miles together, across all 48 lower states and eight Canadian provinces. I know your pain, my friend. God bless you and my prayers are with you.
I had a rescue Jack as well. Such great dogs.
❤
It's so much of a loss, but it would be so much lonelier if they were never there.
Had a jack as well, Came down with cushion's disease. Cried like a baby when I said Goodbye. But she gave me 14 years of great memories.
You gave him a great life. RIP the Beag.
A good dog always makes us better people. They are the examples for the way we should treat our fellow man. Bless you Kent. Remember all dogs go to heaven. 🙏
Keep in mind , when we have truly loved, it is never lost! It is only after death that the depth of our bond can truly be felt and our loved one becomes more a part of us then was possible in life.
Beagles are so special. They steal your food, your chair, and your heart. They are single minded, stubborn, and sweet. So sorry for your loss.
He was all those things for sure
Beagles are the cats of the dog world, I'm convinced of it.
How lucky Beagues was to live the camp dog life...and eat so well. Hang in there Cowboy Kent.
Dogs are our favorite hello and our hardest goodbye. RIP Bonehead.
I know your hurt and saying I’m so sorry for your loss is not enough. My heart goes out to you and your family. God blesses us with our 4 legged family members that makes our lives so complete. The pain of the loss is tremendous. We will never forget them. Thank you God for letting us share in their lives, even if it for a short time.
The best fed dog on earth, you'll see him again when he crosses the bridge. Bless y'all.
Thanks and God bless you
I started balling thinking about Kent and Beag sharing a McDonald's burger not too long ago and thinking just how truly special their bond is.
All Dog's go to Heaven. 🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺
Just had to put my dog down a couple of weeks ago... he was EIGHTEEN years old. Don't get me wrong, it still hurts; his bed still lays in the living room, cold and empty. However, we are thankful that God had allowed us to have him for so long. Prayers for you and yours.
I keep my fur baby's tags on my key-chain, with there collar hanging on the wall next to my bed..
He had a wonderful life! Lost my boy 2 years ago almost to the day july 5 he was 17. It gets easier but still weighs heavy on the heart but like you said I’m incredibly grateful the good lord blessed me and my family with the best 17 years! Stay blessed bless brother
Are you getting another dog?
Kent,
Not many dogs are so blessed as to have the company of you and yours. A tasty, exciting, fulfilling life. Plenty people aren't even so blessed. You have my utmost sympathy.
I want you to remember all those tail wags. Those are good, good times you shared. There'll be plenty more when you see him again.
