    I have an Atlas. I like it a lot. Good design and great quality. I also have several of your rear monopods. Also good quality construction, but the design needs some work. It's wiggly. I realize I could take out the wiggle by tightening one of the flat tightening nuts, but you can't do that when you are trying to tweak your elevation very finely or you change it. Then it's locked up and stable but probably at the wrong elevation. I've gotten a CTK. It is much more stable. You need to do something with the monopod. The best thing would be to some up with a solution that could be retrofitted for your existing customers so you don't create a bunch of unhappy customers with wiggly gen 1 monopods.

      Thank you for your patronage and for sharing your observations on our monopod. Please, tell us what model of Accu-Shot monopod you have.

      Hi, I have 3, BT04-QK, BT12-QK, BT31-QK . To be clear, when I say wiggly, I am comparing that to 100% rock solid. If you deploy, then use the button or unscrew to gain some height, the tightness (or slack) between the screw and the threads in the body are not super tight. If you tighten the lock ring down onto the body it all locks up and is fine, but then you mess up your elevation. Thanks for checking back with me.

      Wow. Thank you for your patronage and sharing your observations. The BT04 with the second thumbnut was designed to eliminate the tolerance you are experiencing. The only way we know to eliminate further thread tolerance is to go to ACME thread. As I suspect you know, the second thumbnut may be tightened to remove some of the thread tolerance that you described as "wiggly." Further tightening the thumbnut will eliminate all tolerance. However, doing so will change point of aim. The intended use of the Accu-Shot Monopod is to maintain the sight picture unassisted, not point of aim. In use, the shooter should adjust the monopod with off-hand to point of aim, then maintain that position with off-hand and make the shot. I don't know if this is of any value, but we do plan to create a "How to Use the Accu-Shot Monopod" video soon that will explain the use, application and limitations of the Accu-Shot Monopod.

    I used BT46 LW17 PSR and BT35-LW17 for shooting up to 1600 yards. Surprisingly I prefer BT46 over BT35 because of the way how canting is implemented in BT35. Sliding on the curved rail + longer arm requires more force, making cant adjustment to feel heavy and jammy. It's hard to adjust the can't precisely when I'm on target. Sliding cant changes the elevation and also is harder to maintain, since it tends to slide back under the force of gravity when rifle recoils.

    I'm not a fan of attaching this to a rail. The lever only opens if it's canted all the way to left (otherwise the lever can't swing past the semi-circle cant rail). I'm also not a huge fan of the tension wheel. Even tightening it up about as far as it will go, there's still some play in terms of panning.

    Is there a way to make this work with arca rail? Most arca clamp is too wide to fit on this.

    Question ... what is the difference between the ADM-4103LA74 mount and the ADM-170-S mount.

    • @btindustries1300
      @btindustries1300  6 років тому +1

      Good question! Thanks for asking. Both are manufactured by American Defense and serve the same purpose, but the ADM-4103LA74 is a custom machined lever made to work with the 5-H Bipod only. It is designed to allow the lever to clear the cradle portion of the 5-H and allow the lever to be thrown back over the cradle. There is a small portion which is cut away on the lever to allow the 5-H Bipod to be installed onto/removed from the rifle without interfering with the cradle. You can see the portion cut away here: www.accu-shot.com/catalog_new/home/220-adm-4103la74-5-h-lever.html

      B&T Industries thank you very much for the reply ! I ordered a 5h no clamp as I had a spare clamp from my multiple bt10 bipods. I realized pretty quick that the clamp was different. 5 min in the mill and problem solved , just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing somthing outside of the relief cut on the throw lever .

    Hi guys! I wonder if the area 419 arca clamp would fit on this model? Can it move freely once installed? I noticed the QD mount is already a tight fit and can only be deployed if you slide the mount at the end of the cradle... and an arca clamp being wider could potentially scrub against the cradle... You understand? (I'm specific about the Area 419 clamp, not the RRS, because here in Canada the Area 419 stuff is easily available. Thanks!)

      @LongShot I asked the question to the guys over Area419 and they told me I'd need an Arca lock spigot extension to clear the knob. Look at this link www.area419.com/product/arcalock-spigot/

      Greedy? lmao, it's exceptionally high quality, made of stainless steel and 6061 - 7075 T6 aluminum, and made in America, you're going to pay a premium for that because they're paying a premium to make all of it here. Not greedy, you're just poor.

    The bipods are cool, but man they need new names. It feels like you have to remember a random sequence of letters and numbers to know what exact model is the subject.
    Hire me, I'll come up with cool names for them for free. But I guess if it's for free, I'm not really being hired. Lmao

    Guys, I absolutely love the bipod.
    One VERY important thing you need to address is your vocabulary. It's a FIREARM - not a "weapon". Firearms are used for sporting purposes - and most of the rifles sold ARE used for sporting purposes and NOT as a weapon. Discard the marxist vocabulary and stop perpetuating the socialist narrative - don't help the gunphobic mob to achieve their goal.
    And if you want to show some good practices - good way how not to screw up when getting distracted is: if the firearm is clear drop the mag and leave the bolt up, or if you good at remembering where you put your stuff take the bolt out. (ever heard the "boom. sarge, I swear I checked the chamber and it was empty"?)

    • @yoda6915
      @yoda6915 4 роки тому

      So you are hear talking crap when you decided to squeeze the trigger on a weapon your firing in this video while you have the bolt in the open position, even though you fired the weapon and the round went off. YES I SAID WEAPON, just like a hammer can be a weapon or a car or a beer bottle. Maybe your actions in the video would spark more attention then anything. ua-cam.com/video/i98o3ZsUM18/v-deo.html @ 56 seconds in the video you decide to unlock the bolt and squeeze the trigger, did the WEAPON kick to hard for you and you lost your min? MR gun safety man, whats with that crap ? We call this being a HYPOCRITE. Next time dont talk crap when your defiantly not a safe person and why you squeezing on a trigger with the bolt not locked looking like you dont know what your doing ?????????? Ooo and dont take down your video, would be more of a HYPOCRITE doing so. Plus I recorded that part of the video and I will just repost it and put another link to it.

      @@yoda6915 Bloody hellfire, we have here Internet expert. Kid with one whole hour of Call of Duty under the belt and all the wisdom you can get from it (is it where you get the term WEAPON from snowflake?). LOL. You don't have a SLIGHTEST clue what you are talking about, right? LOL. No FIREARM will ever fire with bolt open and with empty brass inside princess - Firearms basics 101. You can squeeze the trigger whole day long with bolt open and NOTHING will ever happen except you'll get sore finger. LOL. Yeah, keep posting the video - anybody who owns a bolt action firearm will have a good laugh at you. Bolt UP is way better than ANY kind of safety on a rifle. And @56 what action is it Einstein? Did you figured out where is the mag or know how it operates? LOL

      @@precisionleadthrowing4628 Seems like youre the one perpetuating ''marxist vocabulary'' by giving it actual validation.
      Casually calling your rifle a weapon which it absolutely is on a instructional video aint ''socialist narrative''. Take your tin foil hat off.
      He isnt on range, doesnt handle ammunition and doesnt have a mag on. Theres no reason to leave the bolt open so it can freely move and knock around while hes showing a bipod.
      Atleast you managed to make yourself look equally as childish to this Yoda guy by writing LOL 4 times on a single comment.
      No one likes an arrogant cunt.
