Can you think of any other crazy 500 point match-ups you'd like to see? A Gorkanaut and 27 Gretchin is a perfectly balanced 500 point army, right?
Horde of Gretchen vs a horde of poxwalkers
where is the interview you did with dave?
A group of T'au Stealth Suits and a Ghostkeel playing an Ambush map against some Sisters of Battle, perhaps?
33 necron scarab swarms, vs 41 ripper swarms vs 22 nurglings vs 50 tau gun drones in the battle of the cutes small friends
Gorkanaut vs. imperial or chaos knight.
I loved every second of this! Especially the haggis!!!
Really? Haggis?
@@Josh24861 Oh fuck aye
Nothing beats freshly caught haggis, I hope Guy hunted it down from the highlands for you himself.
Haggis in England? Heresy!
@Gary ennit bruv!
Love the smaller scale games and the narrative styling - storytelling has always been my favourite part of the hobby, whether it's through modelling, painting or gameplay
Narrative elements are my favorite part of the hobby as well.
Love these small battles. Shows non 40K players (like me) that I could collect small armies, fudge the army build rules a little and still have a blast.
Most definitely! One of the (often forgotten) modes of play is Open Play, where pretty much anything you and your buddies are good with goes!
Yeah Open Play is really really fun. You wouldn't know it by reading the rules or watching tons of content, but seriously most games are just open play narrative nonsense loosely balanced and played for the love of the game. This was awesome, Guy. Shows new people and vets alike how fun it can be to slap down cool models and roll dice.
Look up warhammer skirmish, nercromunda, or mordheim, very small scale games but alpt more focus on individual characters.
I LOVE the look on these two armies on the table. One grim and desaturated, the other bright and war beaten. They compliment each other really well.
This was so fun! Instantly in my top 5 MWM for 'Noooo. Not my Gorkamorka fort. I just built it!'
It’s the curse of the “freshly painted model!” It must be destroyed the first game it’s in lol.
I can't get over how good Ghazghkull looks in the purple, I love the colour scheme.
What do you mean? I don't see Ghazghkull at all in the video
There was a Ghazghkull?!?
I like these smaller, more... intimate, fights. Love it.
Absolutely love the narrative-focused games! Nothing wrong with straight-up competition, and your SC Death Match is a truly awesome series, but there's just something so...RIGHT about getting attached to these little guys that you've put so much love into, and giving them a proper story.
This video is great fun. Proves that you don't need massive, perfectly balanced and heavily optimised armies to have fun with the game. Some of my fondest memorys of warhammer are small, single unit skirmishes that me and my buddies from school would play out during recesses.
Guy? Dave? ORKS?! CHAOS?! 500 POINTS?! HELL YEAH!!!!!
"Ghazghull iz da most 'ospitable! Give 'em de 'aggis boyz!!!"
I love Dave so much, also one of my all time favorite hobby ambassadors 💚
I can’t believe you met Dave! He’s in my province in Canada where he has the MiniWarGaming studio there as well! So glad you made this collaboration video with him!!! 😲😃
Which province?
"Choosing to valiantly overwatch against Abaddon, four of the Ork Nobz use their Slugga pistols, and the remaining Nob uses his Partee Poppa."
This hobby literally just brings people together, god damn it’s good !
This was great! I've never really been able to watch a battle report before, I always find them boring. I'd keep watching this format, Guy. Great video!
Dream battle report: dave playing his chaos marines, bridger from table top titians with his custodes and nick from play on table top with his tau.....produced/narrated by guy and penny.
Was really hoping to see a larger, longer battle, but great to watch either way! Really hope you do more of these Guy!
Two of my favorite UA-camrs, and love seeing boss vs boss. Nicely done!
this was such a cool match. remember that ghaz is a monster so you could have unloaded morks roar into Abaddon in engagement range at the end. However melee finisher was the orky way to go
It was definitely more lore-appropriate that he finished him off in cc.
@@miniwargaming abaddon use plot armor teleport away before die
Really love those chaos conversions! Also purple Gaz looking majestic as ever.
MOAR! GIMME MOAR!
I loved this. Guy, please make more 500pts silly narrative stuff with mates.
Awesome video. I love your battle reports. Super watchable, concise, and fun.
Ive been super excited to see this. Just the intro already earned a like for the video
Great to watch a good old fun game of 40k without all that stupid competitive rules
14:00 Something about the way Dave posed and moved made him look like an action figure lmao
Thank you so much for these videos. They kept me entertained during lockdown and actually made me appreciate the hobby. In fact I’ve started collecting custodes and necrons and love playing with friends and family. Keep up the battles and just remember that everyone here loves your videos. Thank you for everything you make and the time spent to make said videos.
So great to see Dave on this channel! He was the first 40K you tuber I ever watched and have been hooked ever since. Great video Guy, 👍
These short battles are always nice, I could binge them all day long.
This was amazing! Thanks for this!
This was so fun! you guys looked and sounded like you were having such a good time, that was awesome
Loved the short battle report, and the Gorka Morka Forta brought me back to simpler times... also, best guest spot on MWM so far!
This was great. I loved how you guys played out your own little story. The small scale of the battle meant things were moving along briskly. I don't know what else to say but more please!
Battle report of the YEAR!!! HUGE thanks to you both!!!
Love this format! Very entertaining! More please.
This was super fun. Been great to see Dave touring around these sceptered isles. Hope filming that Chaos thing went well!
This was great fun. Having both players enthusiastically narrating their turns was cool; and the single use of strats makes for a nicely streamlined game.
I love these types of videos/battle reports!
I loved the narrative play style and also the smaller sized army! 🖤 story telling is such an awesome part of warhammer it honestly brings the game to life and way more fun ! 😆
Two of my favourite 40k content producer's. Good fun guys, thank you.
Great battle and nice collab! The back and forth was awesome!
I, for one, think it's good to normalize 500 pt games. It helps new players know that they don't need to fork over ludicrous amounts of money or paint loads of minis just to play. Lowering the barrier to entry.
Plus, UA-cam has precious few creators who post 500 pt battle reports (one of the only ones that comes to mind is Tabletop Warbands). Sometimes, a viewer doesn't have the time for full 2000 pt battle reports (especially the ones that last for 2-3 hours in real time).
I love the pace of your BRs. Lots of others are just the whole game without any editing
Love the content guy! Been watching for a few months.
Comment for tha algorithm and the channel. I hope you and your family are doing well
Also I play black legion and love to see content like this.
Amazing battle report and story! Can't wait for Deathmatch tournament to keep going
Love all your battle reports!
Keep up the narrative matches! I keep rewatching the orks vs tyranids video for the plot
That was a lot of fun. Short, simple, entertaining. Great!
Honestly this short style of battle report is my favorite of any channel. Also Dave is bae.
Great format and explanation narrative
Best battle report I've seen
Love when Miniwargaming Dave just randomly shows up. My absolute favorite 🤘
I love the look of the chaos marines, absolutely beautiful.
Loved this quick bat rep!!!!!
Do more like this!! I REALLY LIKE these low points games, with more narrative style!
So fun to have you two fight each other with your kind-of signature armies!
This is great!! Really easy to watch and can fit it in a bite sized time frame…
That was actuarily really fun one of your best we Battle Reports.
I have no idea how the rolling works overall but this was alot of fun to watch since I'm out of 40k animation and movies to watch
Guy that was so good! Very fun, short and sweet, awesome! Also surprisingly close!!?? I'll take it ;)
I never realized that Ghazghkull is so much bigger than Abaddon :O
Btw, super fun battle report! Keep them coming :)
You have just showed that you can have a great battle with 500 points. Awesome report!
I don't know if it's the "correct" way to pronounce it, but I've always called him "aBADdon" rather than "ABAddon" because he's a bad guy, he's literally "a bad'un", so it just made sense to me that that's why he's called that 🤷
Short, funny, yet thrilling. Awesome battle report.
That was really fun and quite possibly the quickest ever battle report
Yo this was so good!
I've been waiting for this for a long time...
Dave is the GOAT! One of the best ambassadors for miniwargaming (hue hue) there is!
Great stuff ! Thank you :)
"He looks into the eyes of these nobz and he is thinking, where is Gazzz..." -PAUSE
Small 40k for the win! Thanks for sharing the adventure.
Awesome job!
I wish more channels would do small point matches like this
Would be so nice with a longer battle between the two of you at a more convinient time, this was soo good 🤩
looks like great fun was had. I was pulling for Abadon.
That one plagumarines sword looks like Cinquedea with a bell/nurgle symbol as a gaurd really sick
I believe this is what we call a 'victory for everyone not involved'
LOVE this.
I loved watching this.
Really enjoyed the bite sized elite fight!
I love seeing smaller battles. I would be happy to see more. I hope the smaller battles are easier for you to make.
This is fantastic.
I love haggis. Also great battle vid guys!
Intro is spot on 👌🏻
Guy and Dave ! Awesome !
The moment I saw dave's face I got super excited for this rematch
I actually watched the entire game 👏 for everyone involved
My 2 favorite gamers. Pretty slick Guy. Pretty slick.
Loved the Abaddon kitbash
Good times. Glad Dave visited UK, made some good cross content!
That intro 🤣🤣🤣 i love it!!!
Damn, that transition from Guy’s to Dave’s Voice was smooth
YES THE BATTLES ARE BACK.
OOOOOOH MY GOD THIS IS SO EXCITING
Khorne had a good time in this episode
Excellent !
Setting the bar for battle reports
That was a fun lil bat rep to watch
That was really good watching! Great opportunity to see some of the fancier units ik play without having to slog through a big ol' 2K pts game.
Yup. Too often it goes.
Turn 1: I fire my entire army at Motarian, killing him. Turn over.
