- Fans accuse the Disney Star Wars show of ruining Anakin's character arc by introducing two new “Chosen Ones” a century before his birth. Not only did they ruin Anakin's redemption, but they also ruined his birth. He is no longer special because he wasn't the first to be conceived through the Force...
Star Wars The Acolyte episode 3 just dropped on Disney Plus... lets discuss!!

I like to think of the entire Star Wars universe, with all its contradictions and canon changes, as a collection of stories told by different people. The actual historical events are almost lost to history, and come to use as myth. Sometimes the stories are retold with different characters and backgrounds.
After all, it was all A Long Time Ago.
No fans. No Star Wars.
If the fans don't accept this bunk as cannon, well then it isn't is it?
Fair point. A bit like how I think the MCU ended at Endgame lol
"they must know why anakin is the chosen one"
brudder one of the main actors said anakin blew up the death star. in two separate interviews. they dont know ANYTHING about star wars
How do they think this is okay 🤔
I've aways figured Shmi lied to conceal a trauma. That misread the prophecy may have been.
That's an interesting take 🤔
Your “presumably” about Mae and Osha being born of the force is doing a lot of heavy lifting. My impression was that they were created through magick and ritual whereas Anakin was an unprompted manifestation of the will of the force.
So would you say the force and magick in Star Wars are separate things?
@@ThePlanetaryPilot No. They are different interpretations of the same thing. My point is around intention. One of the witches said (paraphrasing) "I created them" and there is another mention of "what if the jedi found out how you created them". This suggests that they used dark magick with intention. Nobody created Anakin. It was once an idea that maybe Palpatine did it with what he learned from Plagueis (who may have gotten the idea from ancient religion magick himself. This would be a retcon, but a logical one), and Anakin fears this in one of the comics, but it has since been clarified that Anakin was created by the cosmic force on its own accord without outside intervention. This is what makes him different.
They are making projects for an audience that have historically never watched Star Wars lol
It seems so. And it only further serves to drive a wadge between fandoms
@@ThePlanetaryPilot exactly
And never will.
@@Nonamearisto exactly
Still need to see the bad guy too 😮
Well put perfect synopsis but disney don't think like that thats why the show sucks
I genuinely can't understand how Disney lets these things happen
Where is this crazy idea item come from SW is such a big galaxy where probably other species can create off springs with the force.
Maybe they can but in this case it isn't a different species 🤔
@@ThePlanetaryPilot What people need to remember the dark side of the force can do the unnatural with that said theses witches are supposing using the dark side of the force.
Are they using the dark side..??
@@ThePlanetaryPilot This show does have a lot of holes in there story but I dont think 4 jedi will just show if there not doing anything wrong.
Wasn't it just because they heard about force sensitive kids being trained there??
Ever since Disney bought Lucasfilm, Lucasfilm has beem more interested in SJW politics and Kennedy self inserts than they were about Star Wars
They definitely push a certain tone
Yeah, Anakin is now the pilot who destroyed the first Death Star. That's one hell of a retcon. :D
Lol 😆
You don't know that they are born of the force... their creation hasn't been fully explained as of yet.
That's a very fair point. We're assuming that's how they were born. The only thing they actually say is that they were a miracle born without a father.
They were born of "the Thread", which is just another name for The Force.
Ever heard of story of acolytes the failure
No but IDGAF
This needs some context lol
