- Obi-Wan Kenobi review for episode 4 on Disney Plus of their new Star Wars Season 1 TV series. Obi-Wan Kenobi escapes with Leia to a rebel base however is chased by Reva and Vader. Lightsaber and blaster fights fill the episode, but so do plot holes and reveals or leaks designed to surprise. Does it work as an episode, or does it continue the parody that Disney Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobi has been so far with the finale next week?

It was a little better than the first 4 episodes. A solid 3/10
I think it’s much better than the rest of the episodes but it still had massive issues.
This episode: Slightly better shit than the usual shit is still shit.
Reva: Where were you when my family was killed???
Obi Wan: Killing a pivotal member of the Separatists, getting stabbed in the back, falling to my death, almost drowning, having to Metal Gear my way out of enemy territory, resorting to stealing the ship of my enemy and having to go on the run almost immediately, not to mention having to bear the weight of my best friend turning evil and having to put him down.
Reva: Well you still have to apologize anyway! >:(

It’s absolutely hilarious how getting stabbed through the abdomen with a freaking lightsaber has basically become just a minor inconvenience.

@@styxinclouds4747 it did not bother reva the first time. It did not bother the grand inquisitor. And it did not even stop Darth Maul being completely cut in half by one... Seems rather inconsequential. Qui-Gon probably just died because he saw the future of the franchise in a vision and said "fuck it, leave while you are ahead"
@@totalutilitarian3292 Yeah, when I was told they actually brought Darth Maul back in The Clone Wars or Rebels (whichever one ... both?) I knew they would and could do anything they ever wanted. Screw the consequences. Darth Maul was actually first brought back to life because one of the artists that worked at Lucasfilm created a story where that happened, complete with mechanical legs. It was for an art book featuring the artists at Lucasfilm, a nice project they let them do. ... But it's ridiculous that it became canon. What's a little stab in the stomach compared to that?

Like have her start out with the idea of killing Vader but realizing he is way to powerful but trying to gain his favor to somehow find a way all the while getting more and more frustrated, angry, violent and vengeful and falling more and more to the dark side where when she finally thinks she has a chance Vader reveals he has always know her backround and used her to get to other jedi and saw her potential and now gives her the chance to succumb to the dark side and get really powerful and become the grand inquisitor by his side or die (like the whole scene with the emperor and luke). But instead we get this shit...

I’m getting really tired of Disney never killing off characters (other than legacy characters). It makes it feel like nothing is ever at stake. Makes it hard to get excited.
Well aparently standing in a cramped space and being shot at by stormtroopers like fish in a barrel is also not exactly dangerous, so there is that to feel the high stakes...
Killing them is too easy. You have to denigrate them to promote THE MESSAGE. They must live on with their humiliation. Therefore you, the classic fan; must also live on in humiliation to see the greatness of Disney's Force is Fallopian Tubes vision.

Disney’s slimy plan is to introduce new (& generally terrible) characters, while slowing killing off (“retiring”) legacy characters so that they don’t have to share royalties w/ Lucas. It’s greedy, and it’s backfiring since most of what they produce is not well received.

I actually like O’Shea Jackson Jr’s character, if he had competent screenwriters, he could have worked out pretty well in a Star Wars production . Same thing for Kumail Nanjiani( even with the bad writing his character is kinda entertaining ) it’s a shame these actors were wasted on this show.

There is internal conflict raging inside of her that we're supposed to suddenly care about
@@kumonom1 For there to be an internal conflict there have to be at least two ideas which a character considered equally important. The most dramatic ones are usually coming from the opposite sides, like discipline versus emotion, anger vs forgiveness, addiction vs freedom, mortal fear vs bravery, recklessness vs guilt and so on. There are different types of course, like if character is fully convinced and has to choose between several paths of action in a dire situation. What would this character risk to get to his goal is very interesting because we learn who they really are. Internal conflict is a quintessential point in the character's story as they are either coming to terms of who they are or decide to steer away to become something different if the events would allow them to. With Reva we have none of that. If I'd really try to take her seriously I'd say she have severe mental disorder. She's doing things at random. She hunts down Kenobi until she has no interest in him. She works for Vader until she tries to murder him. She threatenes, maims and slaughters civilians until she can't talk down a 10 yo girl... And at the end we are presented with a revelation that she's a tortured soul traumatized by past events. If they tried to write a "strong female character" they miserably failed.
@@vespenegas261 I was never convinced there was any actual internal conflict, I'm just stating what Disney's intention was. I didn't buy that ridiculous "Why didn't you save us?" outburst for one second. Either it was just meant to get a reaction out of Obi-Wan or the scriptwriters need a new job. That Leia "interrogation" scene almost made me shut it off.
Disney screenwriter: So, it turns out, Reva was one of the young younglings we saw in the first episode! *waits for shocked gasps*
Audience: Yeah, we figured.
Disney screenwriter: Okay buuuuuuut the Grand Inquisitor is actually alive! Didn't see that coming, did you?

Disney Screenwriter: Okay, for my last trick, you're really not gonna believe this one. We're going to have Vader stop the fleeing ship before it can escape, but guess wh--!
Audience: There's another ship and all the cast are actually on the other ship, so there's no real danger?
Disney screenwriter: There's no way you saw that coming--!

Do they honestly think the core audience who watch this show are a bunch of kids who have short attention spans so they don't have to put effort into actually making something good?
@@kuhanblock9380 I don't know the streaming numbers for this thing, but I do know that people left over a billion at the box office when they had already watched TFA and Last Jedi, knowing full well what to expect.

Disney loves to say race doesn't matter and a woman is whatever the person wants it to be to them. While simultaneously saying "look a stong black woman!!"
The real Darth Vader would have just snapped Reva's neck. He wants Kenobi so bad that he takes time to F around with her? So stupid.
This for me is the ultimate show of “why?!”. Some real good ones in this episode:
1. Why does Bail give away all the secret details of everything, *including the fact that Vader’s kids are alive and where they are* in a recording literally anyone could find?
2. Why send a 10 year old to fix complicated electronics she couldn’t possibly understand?
3. Why is Kenobi ok with that and her potentially being electrocuted and killed?
4. Why, if there’s no one small enough to fit in the vents, are there electronics in there in the first place? How are they maintained?
5. Why does AOTC era Anakin look about 45 years old?
6. Why does Reva order the doors to be blown up when she can easily cut through with a lightsaber?
7. Why does Reva know that it’s Anakin in the Vader suit? All she knows is Anakin went rogue, not that he became Vader.
8. Why doesn’t Vader just stop the 2nd ship from escaping also?
9. Why does Reva let Obi Wan escape? The plan seemed to be “kill Vader while he’s distracted with me” meaning they will fight, but then he just runs away again. Wouldn’t it make more sense if Kenobi and Vader fought, then Reva took her chance to kill Vader then? That would have also given the ship time to escape
10. Why doesn’t Reva attack Vader while he’s busy pulling the ship back?
11. Why did they say there’s only 1 ship when there’s actually 2?
12. Why was the tracker or whatever suddenly able to reprogram the droid to do something very specific?
(Adding more now)
13. Why didn’t Kenobi just force pull that woman to safety? In the last ep he was holding back metric tons of water pressure
14. Why didn’t she throw the thermal detonator over the heads and behind the troopers? That would likely have killed a bunch of them and she was protected by the droid. Yes I know she was shot, but as we’ve seen in this show serious injuries are something you can just walk off
15. Why didn’t Vader kill Reva? He didn’t even take her lightsaber. Must have read that rumour from Disney about the potential Reva spin off
16. Why did Kenobi call it “Order 66”? He must have watched Revenge of the Sith
17. Why, for her sneak attack, instead of calmly walking up behind Vader and quietly igniting her lightsaber into his back, did she instead choose to loudly turn it on several steps behind him and run towards him screaming AGGGHH!!!!
That’s just off the top of my head.
Don't forget the purge troopers dying instantly and anakin being a lot more enraged than normal in the training with obi wan

Can't lie, when Leia said to get her a ladder to calibrate/fix the wires herself, all I thought was:
"Damn, that would've originally been Luke's forte, if Luke was actually in this show."
I guess its genetic, since Anakin wouldnt have survived that long if he wasn't so good at building things (also cringey dialogue from ep 1.).

Now I remember when there were rumours that one of the earlier drafts was that Obi-Wan was to bring Luke around on a planet-hopping adventure, which was scrapped because it didn't make sense.
Turns out, they salvaged some parts of that script and simply changed Luke with Leia, because "the girl is just as important as the boy"
Now I know why that script "didn't make sense" to Disney...
Only 11 minutes in, and your commentary is far more enjoyable than anything Disney Star Wars has put out over the past 10 years. 👏👏👏

I'm still trying to figure out Reva's character.
She joined the empire "to take revenge on vader", but she was so great at killing innocent people that she got promoted to an inquisitor, an inquisitor that other inquisitors think is too filled with bloodlust. She also seems delighted at torturing kids.
We're supposed to believe that she is actually a good person and that it's obi-wans fault that she's been with the empire for years slaughtering people as she goes?
What happened to agency? Free will?

To be fair... the author and the producers are so goddamn stupid, they're still trying to figure it out too.
So The Mandalorian series confirmed that every Stormtrooper carries a thermal detonator (the cylinder on the back). So they should have used them to open the blast door or at least after Reva’s supersaber cuts through the butter door, toss in dozens of thermal detonators obliterating the rebels. And of course, “girls love the science” as Leia shows how a 10 year old royal who is being trained as a politician is an expert space mechanic.
Even if they are afraid of a cave-in from the detonators (which is unfounded by that agent), they can't throw other types of grenades? In Fallen Order, the Purge Troopers (black armour, red shoulder pauldron) occasionally throw shock grenades to stun lock you. They can't throw those? Or use that turret they used to blow the door and suppress the rebels?
It's the same problem I had with the beach assault im Rogue One. Does the concept of "fatal funnel" around doorways elude military professionals in Star Wars? Then again, I could believe they had no grenades since stormtroopers seem to be using muskets and missing targets five feet apart.

I like how they have a conversation about betraying Vader within earshot of like 50 stormtroopers. There's no way at least the 2 who take him inside didn't hear any of it.

Also if they can force talk to each other WHY do they need to touch the door? Does metal somehow conduct force thoughts where air is too much of a resistance? Why do they have to actually SAY IT OUT LOUD that the other can hear it, shouldn't it be like thought transfer?
@@disparutoo I always thought telepathy in Star Wars is a little more nuanced and non-verbal. If they insist, why can't they do the Skype call thing in the sequels?
@@DarthQueefious This show is using normal sitcom rules. If another person isn't in the shot, they cannot hear any conversation between people actually IN the shot, no matter how close they are. I mean, those stormtroopers were a whole five feet away for goodness' sake! That's at least 200 ft using sitcom rules!
ONE SMALL THING: Why would the Empire have Leia's flying gizmo close the giant doors, alerting everyone in the base and giving them time to prepare? Surely a better plan would be to have the droid sabotage the doors by PREVENTING them from closing so the Empire could fly in from the top or target the one and only escape route and then bomb the base? Or better yet, have the flying gizmo take out the transports engines. No one would have been any the wiser until they tried to take off. And I'm still not sure why Obi-Wan couldn't have flown straight to Alderaan with Leia if there was already another transport ship in the base. Who writes this???

It's been shown, CLEARLY shown, that the Empire's TIE Fighters aren't operational at this time. They're just fakes. I mean, that MUST be the reason they haven't used them in Episodes 2-5. Right? Therefore, they had nothing to hover over the hangar doors or waiting for the transport to leave or ...
SIGH.
@@elaguajdo And I guess the Star Destroyer guns must be offline too until Episode 4 when they were blasting the hell out of the blockade runner which meams it was impossible for them to knock down the transport when it took off? Maybe they should have employed Leia to fix the Empire's fleet? 😀
@@marcrogerson9862 The Star Destroyer is too slow. Precedent? The Last Jedi. It won't catch up to their transport and it's turbolasers will just arc on over and do little to no damage. A positive? Escape pods and Morose Tico pulling a "Holdo" maneuver against the pursuing Empire ship(s). Vader will barely escape. I cannot wait!
Another question is how they knew the flying gizmo would have to sabotage overhead doors, and what in the hell could they do to it to make that happen is the short time they had the gizmo. And as another person mentioned, why in the hell didn't they leave the doors open and just destroy the ships as they exited the bunker? Geez...
There were things to fanboy over in this episode but they are stitched together by so many illogical contrivances - I was taken out of this episode early by Leia's toy - so it took Reva mere seconds to equip Lola with a tracking device that also had the power to turn it evil and sentient - the toy managed to know how to sabotage the launch doors, and then took a snooze while Leia fiddled with digging for the breaker switch for what seemed to be hours, then suddenly jump out at Leia with jaws snapping rather than all that time before .... it's just eye rolling at this point. Flashbacks were nice.... but at this point I'm guessing Reva survives because Vader stabbed her through the saber hole from when she was a youngling, thus missing anything vital..... AGAIN! Haven't started Disparu's rant yet but I have my popcorn and beer at back n call!
Agreed... I had some of my friends (who agreed that the previous episodes were bad) telling me that this one was great, and then I watched it... and even the most (artificially) satisfying parts of this episode are wrecked by how they were reached/achieved.

I watched this 5min edit with only the flashback and Vader scenes, and understood why people are saying it was the best episode. The problem is the 5 min were enough, the rest of it shouldn't exist.
(And the choreography is still in the gutter. Same for editing.)
It's literally all the Vader/Anakin moments from the episode... almost like someone who knows how to write was tasked with it, it's so wholesome.
@@imotogin one of the biggest problems for me is the cinematography. The quick cuts and shaky cam especially during fight scenes is very disorienting

This entire episode feels like an ad lib D&D session where the GM is winging the dialogue, improvising the plot, and doing his best not to let one of the players get killed when she splits from the party and attempts to solo the boss.
"sorry I had a lot of work and could not prepare this session and really have other shit on my mind and not exactly my head in the game but rescheduling it would disappoint everyone so I go ahead anyway". Yeah any roleplayer with a few years of experience has had one of those gaming sessions...

Love how Vader pulls a ship down and tears it apart yet can't seem to pull Obi-Wan 20 feet towards him during the fire episode
What's even funnier is that he did exactly that 30 seconds earlier, but he can't do it a second time.
If he can do that he could've held the Falcon from escaping Hoth, he could've kept Luke from falling/escaping at Bespin, and probably could've cleared the asteroid field himself.

Nailed it!!! Its hard to say this show has plot holes when it doesn't have a plot to begin with.
I never wanted flashbacks , I wanted Lucas ‘s vision respected . We already saw them fight in the prequels.
Why couldn’t they use computer generation technology to de-age Hayden in the flashback scenes like they did with Mark Hamill? They even had the same actor, just slightly older to superimpose the changes onto. Seems like it would have been a piece of cake….Oh,yeah, I forgot…That would have shown they gave a crap what the fans thought and felt about the scene. Also, did it seem like Anakin had already turned to the dark side during this sparring session with his master to anyone else besides me? Seemed to me Obi-Wan would have been more than a little alarmed at the end of their session, instead of delivering a moral lesson and going off with Anakin for a drink or something!

I was so peeved at the fact that Hayden looked older than Ewan in the spar. Like seriously what were they thinking?
They used up the budget money (Ewan McGregor executive producer money) on the de-aging for Obi-Wan. There was none left for Anakin. Hayden still looked good, just not "19 years old" good, lol.

Their Jedi clothes in the prequels look nice, clean and sharp. In this series, they look like they were washed in dirty river water, layed to dry on a rock, and just appear so frumpy on them.

It's one thing that the story actually could explain away. One.
What really bother'd me was the lesson from the flashback, like it was a master chess play by Kenobi. Anakin could've easily force pull Obi-wan lightsaber's from the ground. A simple exchange of weapons and keep fighting.
This is the issue with trying to come up with an "outsmarted" play, you can only do it at the level of the writer. This is why mysteries used to be written by very intelligent people. Everyone couldn't do it. But now, no-one wants to say, this is beyond you get someone else to do it.
Even more to the point, in a real fight, it would be less than half a heartbeat and Obi-wan's head would have left his body.

This show just goes from bad to worse. The writing is abysmal. Bale Organa revealing all of the secrets in the most non-secure way possible. Leia knowing how to fix hangar doors. Using a canon to blast open doors and then just using a lightsaber to get it done immediately. No air force from a Star Destroyer to stop an escaping ship. etc etc. It's all awful. Even the direction was poor: shaky cam/jump cut action scenes in Star Wars???

@@NitriumOxide just for random examples: Luke and Han used stormtrooper armor to sneak around in the death star, Kenobi just didn't care when he infiltrated the inquisitor base. The security officer was not convinced by the disguised of Luke and Han and tried to radio his superior whereas here he was scared by "you know what secret means". When they were trapped on Hoth like they are trapped here they needed an ion cannon to disable the star destroyer and not just be able to fly off. I could probably find loads more examples but I guess the point is clear.

I guess the Force is truly female as that would be the only thing explains how Reva can be a dark side user yet not fully succumb to the control of the dark side. Vader’s acceptance of the dark side resulted in decades of submission to Sidius. Vader would sense Reva’s lack of acceptance. Her hatred of Vader should make her more of a slave to the dark side. Vader should have made her submit to the dark side or kill her. No reason to let her live. Clearly no one involved has seen any of the 6 Star Wars movies.

The sad thing is that the concept of a padawan going undercover for revenge is actually very interesting. However, it is executed so damn poorly and convoluted. It would have been a great concept for a standalone Reva series without any connection or focus to Obi-wan or Leia. You could easily make us care for her a lot during her search for revenge and then have a big emotional scene at the end where she fails and dies. With a good actress, script and execution that is must-watch tv right there. And at the same time could have come up with a series where Obi-wan stays with Luke and has to deal with some other form of danger there. Always having the possibility to still have Reva show up there as well as some form of crossover/cameo.
Yep, they had a perfect opportunity to use the Sandpeople for Kenobi to fight, which was shown as they were terrified of him in A New Hope. Yet they squandered that story on Boba Fett and made them somehow good guys.
It could have even had the whole "I knew it all along" thing from Vader who was simply using her thirst for revenge to turn her to the dark side, getting a rampaging jedi that helps him kill other jedis and terrorize the galaxy in general. It could have been about how all that anger and rage MADE her the actually evil person that cuts off people hands willy nilly while she is still thinking she is the good guy under cover trying to find a way to slay the over powered Vader. At some point then comes the time when he basically gives her the ultimatum and shows her the powerful dark side user she has become and tells her to either join his side completely or kill her (and both possible endings would have been powerful, showing the allure and power of the dark side).
Apparently Vader used his whole Mana bar grabbing the first ship....
Soooo Reva puts the tracker on the robot right and Vader is impressed, right?

It’s really a sad state of events when I get on here to say that I ended up watching the first two episodes of miss marvel with my two young girls, and it was written with 10 times more originality and thoughtfulness than train wreck known as Kenobi.
So if Vader knew the whole time of what her motives were. Which he would because he’s Vader and also knew she “ killed” the Grand inquisitor. Then why did we go through all of this? What’s the point?

I think the writers saw the episode and thought it was a legit tutorial on how to write a conspiracy.

This episode sounded like the writers got feedback on the first 4 episodes from someone who knew the lore and read the scripts and said, you know, you've opened up all these plot holes, so you need to plug them... and so they paid lip service to (most of) those, and created whole new holes at the same time.
*Plot Hole:* Grand Inquisitor is still alive later in the franchise timeline, but you killed him off. Let's just bring him back to life offscreen and have him show up like we planned it all along!
*Now:* Lightsaber stabs through the chest/gut are not lethal. Qui-gon didn't really die from that, he just wanted a cover for choosing to become a force ghost and leave Anakin's training to Obi-wan. (even if it's understandably alien biology making the direct blow not lethal on the Grand Inquisitor... these self-same lightsaber stabs through metal walls/doors will melt right through them and the surrounding area... but flesh, doesn't do a thing... just safely cauterizes. Maybe they have a 'stun setting' like phasers. This is not the case for younglings though; they use special lightsabers with crystals that are safe to hit each other with - all Jedi really should be training with those, when you think about it... the fight between Obi-wan and Anakin in the flashbacks was really dangerous for a sparring session.)
(that's not the only hole that "fix" creates...)
*Plot Hole:* Reva knew Anakin was Vader, and it "looked like" it was a surprise revelation to Obi-wan.
*Now:* Obi-wan wasn't surprised at the news (he knew), he was just surprised that Reva knew.
However, now, Reva survived the slaughter at the Jedi temple as a youngling, despite it being Anakin himself attacking her... so, she's got super plot armor, or innate force healing... (or no vital organs wherever she was attacked, and as noted above, lightsaber stabs don't kill anymore.) (the whole Darth Maul thing, where he lived, despite being cut in half, still doesn't sit right with me either, just to be clear.)
*Plot Hole:* Darth Vader and Obi-wan meet and fight between Ep3 and Ep4, despite the "learner and master" line.
*Now:* What makes Anakin a "learner" is only the flaw that kept Obi-wan from recommending his Knight status, due to a character flaw in always needing to win... having nothing to do with skill, or really learning how to use the force or anything... (Does Vader think he's overcome this flaw in Ep4, when he's fighting his master again? Hmm...)
I have more... I don't think I want to put any more energy into writing it all out, though.
The lethality of Lightsabers *and* blasters in recent media has really made me question their utility as a weapon.
A don't think I would rely on a weapon that has a 50/50 chance between killing your enemy and maiming them, sending them on a mission to hunt you down for revenge using their new robot parts.
I feel like I'd have better chances using a sharpened stick.

It can’t be understated how bad the music has been in this series. Star Wars has some of the best most iconic music in film history and it has the ability to lift a mediocre scene to a really great one (like order 66 scene in revenge of the sith). Why aren’t they using real Star Wars music?!!! It sounds like RuneScape music.

Remember in episode 9 of the films they can actually even jump from planet to planet to planet basically instantly from WITHIN the atmosphere. But you know, it is really bad for the hyperdrive and it will need some repairs after having done it a few times so sure someone DESPERATE would not use that for risky escapes from basically certain deaths or anything...

The commentary on this was hilarious and yes some very good points were brought up. But to answer the question as to why Reeva is left alive…rumor has it she’s getting her own spin-off show! A rogue inquisitor who wants nothing more than to kill Vader, but has to do morally horrid things to get to that point sounds awesome. But nah, let's throw Obi-wan in and have him save Leia over and over, and explain absolutely nothing until the end of the series. Brilliant.
So who is the dumbest man in the galaxy, Bail, for overtly mentioning Luke and Tatooine, or Obi Wan for not deleting the message (esp. before handing it to that idiot) ?

This show is like a role playing game where the players are really dumb and keep doing things that would get them killed so the GM has to keep doing gymnastics to keep them alive.
Until the gal who kept the thermal detonator for suicide instead of throwing it at massed troopers as the breach the main door.

GM: "Okay so the thermal detonator explodes right in your hand and you.. (hidden dice rolls) uuh yeah.. actually make your reflex saving throw, and take only half damage!"

For how delayed this show was, it feels very slapped together willy-nilly.
-Darth Vaders massive fucking ship has ZERO fighters or weapons trained on the only exit hatch to the base
-letting two stormtroopers take ObiWan inside of a locked door instead of around 50 men and an inquisitor
-Darth Vader can pull down a ship easily, but a second ship is too much for his force stamina bar, should’ve packed an extra Estus Flask
-Darth Vader couldn’t sense ObiWan wasn’t on the empty ship
-Vader leaves Reva alive
-Reva as a human survives a stab from a weapon that melts blast door metal on contact
-trying to set Reva up to be doing something noble, but she’s clearly been the most murderous and evil Inquisitor slaughtering random civilians
-Organa doesn’t hear from ObiWan so he sends a message detailing everything about Luke like a cartoon character. For all he knows he could be captured and the device is in custody
Isn't it sad that the elements of the episode I liked and wanted to see more of had no bearing on the plot? And scenes meant to be important made things worse?
The flashbacks with Anakin? Changed nothing, but was a great scene.
Revas backstory? Confusing when Anakin had clones to double tap any younglings he SOMEHOW missed.
Reva becoming an inquisitor to kill Vader? Makes her a Hippocrate.
Obi wan escaping capture? Done off screen and in shadow.
Vader destroying the ship? Helps to enforce him being the chosen one, but the fact the second ship in the SAME HANGER left while he did so was dumb.
Vader letting Reva live despite knowing she's a traitor? Triple stupid for Vader.
And their are other ideas that never made it in that I would have wanted to see but didn't get, like seeing the fake Jedi guy fend off troopers with some of those boxes sabers even if he had no training with them to let the people get out.
Reva blaming Obi wan for not being at the Jedi temple..umm dude he was off world fighting general grievous, and then shortly after that order 66 was put into action so he had to fight for and then run for his life. typical woman blaming a man for all her problems.

it's interesting you all find reva's motivations to be hypocritical when vader is literally doing the same thing but towards palpatine and the emperor knows full well how much vader hates him and wants to kill him, but here it's probably incredible writing right?
