- hey! thank you so much for 7k! i seriously never thought this channel would make it this far
i'm proud of this, although there are a lot of parts i didn't like so much
i tried to emphasize that the closer we got to the end, the more complicated things became but the more beautiful
i hope i conveyed that well ^^
i've been working on this animatic on and off for months
i was supposed to release it on gin's birthday (may 8th) but you know how that went lol
so i opted for a trailer for this video instead on that day and i'm very happy!
you can literally see my art improve and pen settings change over the course of the video,
i worked on this very linearly and with no storyboards like an idiot LMAO

@QuackzyTv I'm sorry, but as someone who has been keeping up to date with the storyline of Hotarubitale for quite some time, that wiki page is shockingly empty and littered with misinformation. My advice to you would be to not trust anything you see on there, because most of it is extremely unaccurate. I will literally give you a brief of Gin and his AU/AM if you need one, just don't trust that wiki. They obviously haven't actually read through the tumblr, the most they've done is skim through it.
I hardly know anything about this particular AU, all I know is that when Ink cries, I cry. Btw your art is absolutely gorgeous and such an inspiration for me!

Ah, alright.
I can’t stop playing this. I just really loved how ink’s emotions and possibly mindset was portrayed in this. And I think you portrayed the it being more complicated yet beautiful towards the end well, tho at first I saw it more as intense (emotion wise) and beautiful which is ig is similar. Regardless I just absolutely love how Ink’s grief is shown I just learned about these characters today and it reminds me when I would constantly watch ppl make concepts for different AU’s! I can’t wait to see how the rest of this pan’s out your very talented and creative :)

I hope this isn't a stupid question but who who is the character that ink is mourning?
It was Gin Sans, a member of Advenit's original AU. You can look in the description of this video to find the first animatic they did surrounding the AU. It's just as (if not more) emotional then this one and made my sister cry (she literally hasn't cried from a video in years), so I recommend.
@Nogilthazaa Sure it might not be an original idea, but it's definitely still an original AU. This is because Advenit didn't base it off of any other existing AUs, and came up with the idea to recreate Hotarubi No Mori E on their own.
@Nogilthazaa I don't know what taking things from others without credit has to do with this, but when talking about Hotarutale they most definitely credited the original anime multiple times in the blog. I also understand that the plot and characters aren't original since they were a recreation of the anime, but I feel like there's definitely a key difference between an original concept and an original AU. This was an AU that nobody had created before Kia, meaning that it was original to the AU community. However, it isn't an original concept because they took the characters and plot from Undertale and Hotarubi No Mori E.
